The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1196: Chapter 1196: Embarrassed All the Way to Grandma’s House

She relied on her old age, guessing that those people wouldn’t dare to mess with her.

She assumed a brazen attitude.

There, she cried and caused a scene, incessantly insulting Nathalie Quinlan, while mentioning how her family had once taken Nathalie in and how much free food Nathalie had eaten from the Quinlan Family.

The more she behaved this way, the more the onlookers at the coffee shop were entertained, and the more they gossiped loudly.

Emilia Sullivan had to deal with her mother-in-law’s antics on one hand, and on the other, she could hear everyone whispering about Ghania Quinlan and her from all sides.

She had never been so embarrassed.

She almost fainted from the shame.

However, the most humiliating part for the two was yet to come.

The coffee shop staff couldn’t stand it any longer as they watched Cindy Lawrence’s tantrum fill the entire shop. Unable to hold back any longer, they approached the two and, with a face that couldn’t hide their disdain, unceremoniously said, ”I’m sorry, but we require quiet in our establishment. Please stop disturbing the other customers.”

”How about we don’t charge for your coffee, and you find somewhere else to drink your water!”

How was this any different from kicking them out?

The staff almost brought out a broom to escort them out.

Emilia Sullivan was at least a well-known figure in McKinney and had some fame before.

Her face was burning with embarrassment, beyond anything imaginable. She couldn’t take it anymore, left some money behind, apologized to the staff, and hurriedly dragged Cindy Lawrence out of the coffee shop.

Outside the coffee shop, Nathalie Quinlan had already met up with Jhovany Sullivan and the others.

Seeing that Nathalie came out unscathed, Jhovany Sullivan let out a sigh of relief and anxiously asked, ”Nathalie, did Ghania Quinlan’s mom cause you any trouble?”

It wasn’t that she was overthinking it, that family was despicable.

They’d done plenty of disgusting things in McKinney.

She was worried Nathalie would get hurt.

Nathalie lazily lifted her eyelids, her strikingly beautiful dark eyes showing no sign of being bullied: ”No. Just exchanged a few words.”

”What did she say?” Jhovany asked naively.

She was quickly pulled aside by a tall boy next to her, who pressed her head down, teasingly changing the topic: ”Jhovany, why do you talk so much? I never noticed you were this into gossip.”

”Damn!” The girl with the apple face turned beet red with anger and annoyance, completely forgetting what she was asking Nathalie. Her attention shifted entirely to the boy: ”Justin Wafford, let go of me. Haven’t I told you to stop pushing my head like that? I seriously think my height is stuck at 158 because of your constant head pressing. I’ve told you so many times, don’t touch my head, don’t touch my head.”

”I call it caring for you.”

”Let go, or I’ll bite you to death!”

The boy had a sunny, handsome look, but he was too carefree, obviously not someone serious, released his grip, tapping his thin lips with a finger, smirking at the furious girl: ”Go on, bite right here.”

Jhovany Sullivan: ”...”

”Not biting?” Justin Wafford chuckled, thick-skinned.

Jhovany looked like she had just had a terrible encounter, turned her head away, her ears quietly turning red, and muttered softly, ”Shameless.”

But she didn’t threaten to bite him anymore.

Seeing he successfully changed the subject, Justin Wafford turned his head, smiled, and asked Nathalie, ”Nathalie, where are we going to eat later?”

”Sea View Pavilion,” the girl paused, tugged at her cap, then explained, ”It’s a nearby Chinese restaurant, the taste is quite good. After eating, I’ll take you to Rivendell to hang out, we can sing and play pool there.”
