The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1186: Chapter 1186: Nathalie Starts School

Sadam Vinson felt even more heartbroken, looking at her with a gaze full of grievance.

Was Nathalie not going to at least persuade him to stay?

Even if it’s just out of courtesy, it would be alright!

But Nathalie Quinlan clearly didn’t receive his aggrieved look, innocently glancing at him again, their eyes meeting, as if asking him—Why are you still here?

Sadam Vinson felt his mental state collapse. However, he came today just to ask Nathalie Quinlan about Mr. Wilmar, and now that he had asked clearly, there was no reason to stay, it was just the attitude of these two that upset him.

Sadam Vinson’s mouth twitched, and he turned back to Amadeus Yancey saying, ”Amadeus, I’m leaving.”

”Alright.” The man on the sofa just responded to him with a sound.

Sadam Vinson was already used to his lazy demeanor and didn’t mind it. He greeted Alfred Garland, carrying the big news that Mr. Wilmar left behind a will, and cheerfully left the Rhine Apartments.

...

Once Sadam Vinson left, the apartment became much quieter.

Alfred Garland placed a glass cup filled with milk in front of the girl, speaking softly: ”Ms. Quinlan, don’t just drink cold drinks, you are still growing, drinking too many beverages isn’t good. Having a glass of milk before sleeping is beneficial for your health.”

Nathalie Quinlan half-closed her eyes, leaning on her chin, seriously pondering what 18 years old has to do with growing.

Even though she thought about it, she silently put down the beverage, picked up the milk Alfred Garland handed her, and took a sip.

The milk was rather sweet.

After one sip, Nathalie Quinlan frowned, her gaze cold and indifferent, not really wanting to drink it.

Nevertheless, she drank half a glass, taking sporadic sips, before putting the cup down.

Amadeus Yancey watched the girl frowning with each small sip of milk, his eyes deep like a galaxy filled with shimmering light: ”What time are you going to school tomorrow?”

Nathalie Quinlan, having drunk half a glass, couldn’t drink anymore, placed the glass in front of herself, yawned: ”Eight-thirty, maybe.”

”So early?”

Alfred Garland mentioned that Tsinghua University starts registration at nine.

Nathalie Quinlan responded with a sound, lacking energy: ”Registration at nine, getting up to take a shower before heading there, the timing is just right.”

She spoke, turning her head slightly, hand supporting her cheek, lazily: ”Jhovany Sullivan and the others are coming over to hang out with me at noon, I won’t be coming back then.”

”Have you guys set a spot to eat? How about going to the Imperial Hotel? I can ask the manager to reserve a private room for you all.” Amadeus Yancey knew that most of the class A students had come to Beijing, with Justin Wafford and Jhovany Sullivan’s school being very close to Tsinghua University.

They would definitely find Nathalie Quinlan for a meal.

The Imperial Hotel, huh? Nathalie Quinlan thought about it and declined his kind offer: ”No, the Imperial Hotel is too far. We’ll just eat nearby, at Sea View Pavilion. I’ll book the place myself, and after registration, I’ll meet them at the school gate, we’ll walk over.”

Amadeus Yancey didn’t insist: ”Alright.”

Nathalie Quinlan was genuinely a bit sleepy, her eyelids drooping, not even wanting to talk.

Seeing the girl’s overt fatigue, Amadeus Yancey thought about the series of events she encountered today, feeling distressed.

He pursed his lips, spoke to the already sleep-deprived person: ”Feeling sleepy? How about going up to sleep first, wake up and have dinner later.”

Nathalie Quinlan lifted her eyes to look at him, indeed feeling extremely drowsy, eyes half-closed, picking up her phone from the counter, nodding: ”Alright, I’ll go up and take a nap first.”

She paused, recalling: ”If by any chance I don’t wake up, you guys just go ahead without me, eat on your own. I’ll get up and make something when I’m hungry.”

She could make simple meals, like cooking noodles.

In any case, she wouldn’t starve herself.
