The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1179: Chapter 1179: Sure enough, Caryn Zachmann was asked to help

Caryn Zachmann didn’t say she would help nor did she say she wouldn’t.

After hanging up the phone, she casually knocked over a cup of coffee the servant had brought.

Celine Tucker heard the commotion upstairs and quickly came up. Seeing the mess in her room, she hurriedly asked the servant to leave and closed the door.

Irritably, she said to the person sitting there, ”What are you doing? Why is your room such a mess? If your dad sees this, he’ll get angry with you again.”

”It’s all because of Nathalie Quinlan.”

With only Caryn and Celine in the room, Caryn didn’t want to hide her true self anymore. Extremely agitated, she said, ”She’s run off to the provincial hospital again. Just now my tutor called me saying she’s offended everyone in the Wilmar Family completely. She’s amazing, isn’t she? First causing trouble at home, and then outside. Since she came from McKinney to Beijing, she’s almost turned Beijing upside down!”

Celine initially was angry at her for losing her composure, but upon hearing what she said, she immediately frowned and walked over to Caryn, asking, ”You say Nathalie ran off to the provincial hospital causing trouble again? What do you mean?”

”Mr. Wilmar is gone.”

Thinking of the phone call Adelle Wafford had just made to her, Caryn felt troubled.

Nathalie Quinlan is truly a disaster.

Ever since she came from McKinney to Beijing, Caryn hadn’t had a single peaceful day.

She even had to give up the house she’d lived in for twenty years!

Celine couldn’t believe her ears: ”Caryn, what are you saying? You can’t say such things recklessly.”

She hadn’t received any message yet.

Irritably, Caryn stood up: ”My teacher is at the provincial hospital right now. She was performing surgery on Mr. Wilmar when Nathalie ran in halfway through, kicked her and an overseas expert from the Medical Association out, and then Mr. Wilmar was gone.”

”...” Celine was initially shocked but quickly regained her composure, pulling at the corners of her mouth: ”She’s courting death. I’ll go tell your dad.”

”Mom, come back.” Caryn called her back.

Celine looked at her quizzically: ”You’re not stopping me, are you? Your dad protects her so much, it’s a good chance to show him just how much trouble his favored niece can cause.”

”It won’t work.” Caryn sneered, pulling at the corners of her mouth, her beautiful eyes cold as ice: ”Grandpa and uncle are all there. She’s so capable, she even made Mrs. Wilmar bow her head and admit fault to her. My teacher got implicated this time too; she won’t be able to continue as a doctor. We’ll see if she can keep teaching at Tsinghua University. She called me to ask for help, to find connections to minimize the impact of this incident.”

”Then you...” Celine, not understanding the ins and outs, frowned and subconsciously looked at Caryn, watching her reaction.

Caryn took a deep breath, feeling very agitated, paused for several seconds before saying, ”I definitely won’t help.”

She spoke quickly: ”This has nothing to do with me, and there’s no need for me to get involved. I can’t afford to provoke the Wilmar Family. Anyway, I’m graduating this year, and after graduation, I don’t plan to continue in neurosurgery.”

At this moment, Caryn only felt fortunate, thankful that she had applied early on to change her major to biological engineering at school.

Otherwise, Adelle Wafford’s downfall might have implicated her.

”But after all we’re student and teacher, she called me, and it wouldn’t be right for me to just ignore her. I’ve just sent a text message to Nathalie to see what she says.”

Caryn’s tone was calm, sounding nice, but ultimately it meant she was unwilling to help, because Adelle hoped she would reach out to Amadeus Yancey and Sadam Vinson’s group, but she only sent a text message to Nathalie, which essentially was not helping.
