Ms. Diviner: The Prodigal Daughter's Return

”I’m sorry, I’m sorry, Yuying, I didn’t mean to scare you. It’s all my fault for being too brash and abrupt with such a fine lady, my apologies.” Jiang Yuzhe steadied Mu Yuying, who almost fell to the ground, with an ashamed expression.

”Get lost.” Mu Yuying glared at Jiang Yuzhe, her words seething through clenched teeth. Yet the way her beautiful eyes flickered with anger didn’t seem like she was truly furious. Seeing this, Jiang Yuzhe’s heart skipped a beat.

”Oh, I’ll go right away, see you again if fate allows.” Jiang Yuzhe bowed and quickly scampered off.

”Brother Han Yan, look, look,” Mu Yuying said with a cry in her voice to Han Yan. ”Who does that? Appearing out of nowhere. If I were a bit faint-hearted, who knows what could have happened!”

”Hmm, I saw. You two really do have some connection,” Han Yan nodded in understanding and then, without waiting for Mu Yuying to continue, turned and walked away. Could this interaction between them be seen as their form of flirting?

As Han Yan walked, he scanned the surroundings, certain that Jiang Yuzhe had been hiding by the roadside beforehand. Yet he wondered where exactly he had been concealed, as even he hadn’t noticed.

It’s no surprise that he would later be known as the Ghost Sword, superbly fitting for someone adept in the arts of home invasions or backstabbing.

Having such a person around isn’t a bad thing for the Mu Family or Mu Yuying.

His only worry was that with such frequent scares, that girl might end up mentally disturbed. However, looking at the current situation, her resilience seemed quite strong.

”Ah, Yuying, what a coincidence to see you again.” While Han Yan was deep in thought, he heard Jiang Yuzhe’s surprised voice coming from the distance.

”Slap!” This time, what answered him was not the startled scream of Mu Yuying, but a resounding slap.

Han Yan was reassured, feeling his assessment was correct. Her spirit was indeed strong, and perhaps, it was Jiang Yuzhe who should be concerned.

”Hitting is intimacy, scolding is affection. Yuying, I didn’t realize your love for me ran so deep.” Jiang Yuzhe’s shameless comment made Han Yan grimace. The persistently annoying pursuit was something she’d definitely decline herself. She turned to see Mu Yuying’s slightly flushed face and rolled her eyes internally. It seemed Mu Yuying might accept this mode of pursuit. Well, let them be. As long as it wasn’t too violent. She had other matters to attend to!

Back in her room, Han Yan once again took out the Heavenly Destiny Star Plate left by Mu Tianlie. Ever since she acquired it, unbelievable events had transpired overnight. Could there be a connection?

Fiddling with the Star Plate, Han Yan pondered for a long time but came up with nothing.

Taking the Star Illusion Thousand Machine from her neck, she placed both Star Plates close together for comparison.

Suddenly, two beams of light shot into the sky, and the entire room filled with dazzling, crystalline starlight, as if countless stars were suspended around her, both fantastical and mysterious.

What’s happening! Han Yan was startled and instinctively reached out her hand.

The significance of the Star Illusion Thousand Machine to her was indescribable. Her strength today depended on it, and it still held many unresolved mysteries. Considering the Heavenly Destiny Star Plate left by Mu Tianlie was similarly full of mystique, she didn’t want anything untoward to occur.
