Ms. Diviner: The Prodigal Daughter's Return

Chapter 402: 402 and fiancee get intimate

”Actually, our strength had always been at the peak of the Fifth-tier Knight, but there were no signs of breakthrough. Last night, we separately took Golden Silk Jade Fire Grass and Green Leaf Ruo Vine, and indeed, we broke through. However, even we did not expect that the breakthrough was not to the Sixth Rank, but directly to the Eighth Rank.” Zirong explained, looking just as confused.

”Was it really the merit of Golden Silk Jade Fire Grass and Green Leaf Ruo Vine?” Mu Hanyan had previously considered this possibility, but quickly dismissed this guess. Even if those medicinal herbs were effective, they couldn’t possibly provide such a massive improvement. However, after hearing their statements, she found herself at a loss for other reasons.

”Maybe it was, but we experienced the effects of the herbs firsthand. They shouldn’t have been that strong,” Huayue said with a puzzled expression.

Even they themselves felt it was unlikely the merit of Golden Silk Jade Fire Grass and Green Leaf Ruo Vine, making Mu Hanyan question her own guess once again.

”Besides taking these two types of medicinal herbs, did anything else happen—something special?” Mu Hanyan asked.

Anyway, there must be a reason for their significant increase in power. If it wasn’t the two types of herbs, there had to be another reason.

Huayue and Zirong furrowed their brows, lost in thought.

Suddenly, Zirong’s eyes lit up as if he had thought of something.

”Zirong, did you think of something?” Mu Hanyan immediately asked.

Hearing Mu Hanyan’s words, an equally curious Mu Nan and a puzzled Huayue eagerly looked toward Zirong.

But Zirong’s face turned red, and his demeanor grew awkward.

”Is there something you need to keep secret from us?” Mu Hanyan glared at him as she spoke. Although they were personal guards, she had never treated Huayue and Zirong like servants. If possible, she would rather treat them as trustworthy partners. It was only that their time together had been a bit short, and she couldn’t fully trust them yet.

”It’s not about keeping secrets, it’s just... it’s just...” Zirong became even more awkward.

”It’s just what? Forget it, if you want to say it, say it; if not, let it go,” Mu Hanyan said impatiently. Everyone has secrets, and Mu Hanyan wasn’t one to pry, but this time she was too curious. If Zirong didn’t want to talk, she definitely wouldn’t force him.

”It’s not that I don’t want to say, it’s really... well, I’ll just tell you then,” Zirong said helplessly.

Mu Hanyan and the others all perked up their ears.

”Well... you know, I actually have a fiancée. Yesterday, the weather was nice, the sun was shining brightly, the flowers in the yard were in full bloom, and unexpectedly there were butterflies fluttering around, the yard was full of floral scents...” Zirong rambled on.

”What are you trying to say?” Huayue stared at him, unable to suppress interrupting Zirong’s rambling.

”Um... it’s just that my fiancée and I, well... we did... um, you know what I mean?” Zirong stuttered out his words, seeing the eyes of Mu Hanyan and the others growing wider and wider. He finally blurted out bluntly, ”We were intimate. We are, after all, engaged to be married, not kids. A little intimacy isn’t a big deal, right? It’s not like it’s corrupting morals.”

Mu Hanyan, Huayue, and Mu Nan all stared with their eyes wide, nearly toppling over: And here we thought you remembered something important—it turns out it was just this. Whether it corrupts morals or not is none of our business. We’re curious about why your strength improved so rapidly; who cares about your private affairs with your fiancée?”
