Ms. Diviner: The Prodigal Daughter's Return

Chapter 294: 294 wants to pursue my younger sister should please me first

I hadn’t expected Mu Ze to be so cowardly and frail. As both glanced at Mu Hanyan from the corner of their eyes, they noticed she made no move, so they too stood quietly aside and did not speak. Mu Nan looked at Mu Ze, then at the calm face of Mu Hanyan, feeling not the slightest worry. His heart trusted Mu Hanyan more than anyone else.

”Alright, it’s decided then, don’t forget the promises you made earlier, I will make all decisions on this journey.” Mu Ze felt the disappointed gazes from Mu Xitian and the others, feeling both embarrassed and frustrated, he grabbed the longsword from the ground and turned, walking towards the city’s outskirts.

Mu Xitian and Mu Jie hesitated for a moment, but still followed. Despite being utterly disappointed in Mu Ze, a promise was a promise, and they could only obey.

But deep down, they all felt a bit of regret. If they had known it would be like this, perhaps they would have been better off following Mu Hanyan, who, though a playboy and shameless, seemed to still have some spirit.

Mu Hanyan, on the other hand, did not move at all. Naturally, her two henchmen and loyal followers, including Mu Nan, also remained motionless.

Mu Yuying stood where she was, tears on her face, her expression no longer one of disappointment but of despair.

”Yuying, dear, I mean you no harm. Look, the weather is clear and refreshing today, why don’t we find a nice place to sit and catch up?” Jiang Yuzhe, although he hadn’t beaten Mu Ze, still felt accomplished since Mu Yuying stayed. He was in a great mood and approached Mu Yuying with a smile beaming on his face.

That smile, no matter how one looked at it, seemed lewd, hence, more tears streamed down Mu Yuying’s face.

”Young Master Jiang, why not we have a chat and catch up a bit, huh?” Just then, a figure stood in front of Mu Yuying, smiling just as broadly at Jiang Yuzhe.

”Who are you?” Jiang Yuzhe spoke impatiently.

Having originally no impression of Mu Yuying and thus no real fondness, after a previous misunderstanding, he grew appreciative of her gentle yet firm character. He had sent marriage proposals, unresented even when they were rejected, and now felt even more drawn to her as he saw her biting her lip stubbornly through her tear-streaked face.

He was pondering how to speak with her to ease her wariness and foster a meaningful conversation about life and cultivate deeper feelings when someone blocked his view, souring his mood.

Because he arrived late, he hadn’t witnessed the whole scene and was unclear about Mu Hanyan’s identity.

”My surname is also Mu, and Yuying is my sister. If you want to pursue my sister, you should be courting me, her big uncle, first.” Mu Hanyan said with a teasing grin.

Though her smile seemed a bit ruffian-like, not quite respectable, one had to admit, Mu Hanyan’s composure was vastly superior to Mu Ze’s earlier display.

”Nonsense, I know you’re from the Mu Family, what’s your name, Mu Hanfeng? Mu Feng?” Jiang Yuzhe was even more impatient due to his knowledge about the Mu Family gathered because of his interest in Mu Yuying, none of whom he respected except for Mu Hanfeng and Mu Feng.

”Neither, my name is Mu Hanyan, the Eldest Young Master Mu,” Mu Hanyan shook her head as she spoke.

”Mu Hanyan, so you are Mu Hanyan, Eldest Young Master Mu, hahahaha.” Jiang Yuzhe burst out laughing, his laughter filled with derision.
