Ms. Diviner: The Prodigal Daughter's Return

”You don’t want to give up power? No problem, aren’t there those two henchmen, plus Mu Nan who will follow your orders? Anyway, we only listen to Brother Mu Ze,” Mu Yuying said resolutely.

The two henchmen she referred to, Huayue and Zirong, looked at each other, twitching the corners of their mouths: What kind of truth is she spouting? Such words are really unpleasant to hear. Henchmen have dignity too, you know? This kind of thing, it can only be said behind the scenes, is it really okay to bring it up in public?

The two didn’t get angry, though. Others might not realize how formidable Han Yan is, but don’t they know it? If he could be so easily troubled by a few kids, would he still be Han Yan?

”Yes, we definitely won’t be your scapegoats, we absolutely won’t follow your orders,” Mu Xitian also said adamantly.

The other young disciples didn’t speak up, but their expressions were identical. In their view, even if they failed to complete the mission this time and got punished when they returned, it didn’t matter as long as their conscience was clear. But if it was because of Han Yan’s nonsense causing them misfortune, it wouldn’t be worth it.

”Alright then, let’s decide on that. Just follow Mu Ze,” To everyone’s surprise, Han Yan didn’t argue with them, nor did he storm off in a rage or start a fight out of embarrassment. Instead, he simply smiled and agreed to their request.

”Really? You will listen to me too?” Mu Ze asked, a bit incredulously.

”Mhm, I’ll listen to you too,” Han Yan nodded.

”Well then, let’s continue our journey. When the sun gets hotter later on, we’ll take a break for four hours, and then continue in the afternoon.” Although puzzled, Mu Ze was quite happy that his wishes were so easily met.

Fearing Han Yan might change his mind, Mu Ze spurred his horse and flew forward. Mu Xitian and Mu Yuying and a few others closely followed behind.

”These frogs in the well don’t know Brother Han Yan’s prowess. They are so full of themselves, just wait till it’s their turn to face misfortune,” Mu Nan muttered resentfully.

”Yeah, totally,” Mu Cheng also nodded repeatedly, seemingly in agreement.

”Hey, why aren’t you keeping up?” Mu Nan asked surprisingly.

”Oh, right, right, right, I’m not on the same path as you guys,” Mu Cheng snapped out of his reverie. How could he show closeness to Han Yan? That would just raise his suspicions, so he quickly spurred his horse and caught up with Mu Ze and the others.

”This guy, why has he been acting so strange lately?” Mu Nan pondered aloud, scratching his head, befuddled.

”Yeah, I also think this guy is acting weird,” Han Yan commented, supporting his chin.

”Do you think he might be scheming something?” Mu Nan speculated.

”Scheming?” Han Yan laughed lightly.

This Mu Cheng, to put it bluntly, is just a poor sap completely infatuated with Fourth Miss Zhao, unable to distinguish north from south. What kind of tricks could he play? Even if he did, they would just be child’s play, easily ignored.

Mu Nan also ended up laughing. How could he have momentarily forgotten Han Yan’s identity as a Star Divination Master? If Mu Cheng really had any schemes, how could they ever escape his insight?

It has to be said, this ”God-man” identity is quite useful. Although what Mu Nan thought was completely different from Han Yan, it still directly threw Mu Cheng out of his mind, too lazy to think more about it.

If they knew about Mu Cheng’s wild ideas and his grand schemes of undermining from within, they would probably burst into laughter on the spot.
