Quick Transmigration: The Cannon Fodder's Comeback in the Era Tales

Chapter 562: Chapter 562: Foolish Husband 55

After the wedding in Dongpu Village, Yuan Chun brought Mr. Wei and Mrs. Wei, and followed the Chen Family back to the provincial city. On Monday, they held another wedding at the steel plant.

Since there was no banquet held, Yuan Chun and the fool only recited the contents of the marriage certificate in front of the factory leaders and handed out wedding candies to conclude the ceremony.

The Chen Family was considerate and knowledgeable about etiquette and arranged two tables for a feast at home, inviting the Wei Family and the matchmaker, Second Aunt, for a meal together.

On the wedding night, Yuan Chun moved into the Chen Family home, leaving the single dormitory room for Mr. Wei and Mrs. Wei.

The fool had a grin on his face all day, and in the evening, he insisted that Yuan Chun accompany him to read comic books.

Yuan Chun had endured several small worlds, and now, finally married, she could enjoy some meat. She didn’t plan to let the fool off easily and wanted to fulfill another wish of the original owner by having a child with the fool.

Thus, Yuan Chun used the tactic of the big bad wolf tricking Little Red Riding Hood and, after much effort, finally seduced the fool.

The next day, the newlyweds got up late. Luckily, Yuan Chun had three days for the wedding leave and didn’t need to go to work. After eating the breakfast Mrs. Chen prepared, she called the fool to join her in taking Mr. Wei and Mrs. Wei for a tour around the provincial city.

Since waking up, the fool had been smiling foolishly, even kept his mouth open while eating, his eyes glued to Yuan Chun as if they were stuck, unable to look away.

Mrs. Chen watched and shook her head in disbelief.

However, seeing her son and daughter-in-law like this, she deduced they had spent the night together, which reassured her and made her happy.

Upon learning that her daughter-in-law wanted to take her in-laws out for fun, she gave Yuan Chun one hundred yuan and a handful of tickets, ”Yuan Chun, take these, buy something nice for your parents to eat and use. At noon, take your parents to the State-owned Restaurant to taste their braised pork, it’s really delicious.”

Yuan Chun accepted her mother-in-law’s kindness with a smile.

”Mom, then Sanbao and I are off. I’ll return early this afternoon to help you with dinner.”

”No need, no need, you don’t have to worry about the chores at home, your grandma and I can handle it. You focus on having a good time with your parents today; there are many nice scenic spots in our provincial city.”

Mrs. Chen was a kind and considerate mother-in-law. Knowing her son was foolish and not worthy of the excellent daughter-in-law, she treated Yuan Chun better than she would her own daughter, not allowing her to do any chores. She even took care of her son and daughter-in-law’s laundry, hoping Yuan Chun would reciprocate with true heart and be kind to her foolish son, not despise him.

In the past life, Mrs. Chen treated the original owner well at first. It was only later that when the original owner grew disdainful of the fool that the attitudes of Mrs. Chen and the Chen Family towards the original owner cooled a bit, but they never bullied her.

Later, when the original owner eloped with someone, the Chen Family seemed to have anticipated it. Though disappointed, they did not intentionally suppress Wei Yuanfang and Zhao Dongxiu.

That’s why Yuan Chun liked the Chen Family’s character very much.

Yuan Chun and the fool took Mr. Wei and Mrs. Wei out for a full day of sightseeing in the provincial city, stopping by the department store and supply cooperative to buy nutritional supplements, tobacco and alcohol, and new clothes and shoes for both the elders.

Mrs. Wei looked at the pile of belongings but didn’t want them. ”Yuan Chun, you’ve just gotten married and you’re buying so many things for your dad and me. Your in-laws might not be happy if they find out.”

Mrs. Wei didn’t want her daughter to face any disdain from her new in-laws shortly after getting married.

No matter how wealthy the Chen Family was, they wouldn’t appreciate a daughter-in-law buying goods to subsidize her natal family.
