Global Flood: I Survive on Duckweed

Chapter 289: Chapter 188: Personally Leading the Team, Pilfering Along the Way

Lu Jiamei nodded. ”That’s true. So what’s their situation?”

Ren Yuanyang observed them carefully. Seeing no movement from the speedboat opposite them, he shouted, ”Hey, brothers on the speedboat ahead! You got any clean water?”

”No, now get lost!” a weak voice called back, their Dragon Country language somewhat broken.

Just then, Yu Ren had already climbed out of the water and onto their speedboat. Without the slightest hesitation, he charged directly into the cabin!

RAT-TAT-TAT!

A burst of gunfire, and then silence.

Yu Ren retreated from the cabin, pinching his nose.

”What’s the situation?” Ren Yuanyang asked immediately upon seeing Yu Ren come back out.

”All taken care of! It’s just... the cabin is full of shit. The smell is a little strong!” Yu Ren shouted back.

Ren Yuanyang froze for a moment, then immediately gave an order, ”Boat Two, Jianghu, go over and clean it up. Have Yu Ren drive that speedboat and follow us. We’re leaving immediately!”

”Yes, Chief!” Jianghu sounded a bit resigned. Back at the Dawn Base, he’d been sent to clean all sorts of animal feces from the ship cabins. ’Looks like I can’t escape my fate!’

Who could he blame? He was a Water-Type Evolver, after all.

He found a cloth to cover his nose, rushed into the cabin, and started washing it down.

Yu Ren drove the speedboat with one hand, complaining nonstop, ”Jianghu, can you hurry it up? This stench is fucking overpowering!”

”I fucking want to hurry up too! Who knew these sons of bitches shat everywhere! They’re worse than animals! At least animals know to shit on the floor, but these guys even did it on the sofa and chairs!” Jianghu couldn’t help but curse.

”Oh, right, why didn’t you bring one of the air-purifying spider plants?” Yu Ren suddenly recalled the powerful purifying effect of the base’s spider plants.

”Who would’ve thought they wouldn’t even know to shit outside!” Jianghu was speechless.

Fortunately, the cabin wasn’t particularly large. Using his practiced pigsty-cleaning techniques, Jianghu quickly washed the place down.

He cautiously pulled down the cloth covering his nose.

”GAG—”

Jianghu nearly threw up. He immediately rushed onto the deck, found a spot sheltered from the rain, and took out his phone to send Ren Yuanyang a message: ”Chief, did you bring any spider plants?”

Seeing the question, Ren Yuanyang paused for a second before it dawned on him. ”Does that speedboat stink badly?”

”Extremely. I almost puked!” Just thinking about the smell inside that cabin made Jianghu want to bring up his lunch.

”I actually did bring some! Bring the speedboat a little closer!” Ren Yuanyang replied.

”Got it!” Jianghu immediately shouted to Yu Ren, ”Get closer to Boat One! The Chief has spider plants!”

Yu Ren’s eyes lit up, and he immediately sped up.

As the speedboat drew near, a foul, shitty odor wafted over. Fortunately, the spider plants Ren Yuanyang was holding had an incredibly strong purifying ability, so he couldn’t smell a thing.

Ren Yuanyang controlled the spider plants to fly over to the other speedboat, and Jianghu scrambled to catch them.

The moment Jianghu caught the spider plants, he felt the air around him instantly freshen.

He casually found two containers and placed the two plants inside.

Jianghu placed one plant in the cabin and the other in the cockpit.

Yu Ren and Jianghu both let out a long sigh of relief.

Only then did Jianghu have the peace of mind to ask about the speedboat’s situation.

”Brother Yu, what’s the deal here? Why is there shit everywhere?” Jianghu asked, confused. ”Did they use this place as a toilet?”

”How should I know? Anyway, when I came in, they were all extremely weak. Only one of them—probably an Evolver—still had the strength to shoot. I took care of them all easily!” Yu Ren replied helplessly, but then he had a sudden realization. ”Could it be because of the toxins in the rainwater?”

”You mean they drank the rainwater? And then got diarrhea, so bad it ended up like this?” Jianghu paused, stunned, then nodded. ”That must be it. Even the toughest hero can’t handle a bad case of the runs!”

”No wonder they were so weak. I guess I really lucked out!” Yu Ren laughed loudly. He then explained the details of the fight to Ren Yuanyang and shared his speculation.

Ren Yuanyang nodded slightly. ”It seems this toxic rain is incredibly potent. Yu Ren, you still need to pay attention to your own body.”

”Understood, thank you for your concern, Chief!” Yu Ren replied. ”I don’t swallow water when I’m diving. As long as the fish are mostly okay, I should be fine!”

At that moment, a supply ship arrived at the location of the recent fight.

”According to the coordinates they provided, this should be the place. How is there no one here? And we can’t contact them!” The supply team captain frowned slightly and then began reporting the situation to his superiors.

Upon receiving the supply team’s report, Bao Mu had a bad feeling. After a moment of contemplation, he issued an order: ”Find the other squads immediately. First, gather all the teams searching for the Peach Blossom Base!”

He was worried that the Peach Blossom Base was picking off the Xi’an Base teams one by one.

”Yes, sir!” the supply captain responded.

Ren Yuanyang had no time to waste looking for teams from the Xi’an Base. Wouldn’t it be better to spend that time developing his own base?

If they happened to run into them, of course, he’d gladly accept the free delivery.

Acquiring a speedboat along the way was just a small interlude. At that moment, Ren Yuanyang was contacting Wang Jun.

”Manager Wang, we are all ready on our end. This is the transaction location. You can head out now!” Ren Yuanyang said, sending the coordinates.

Suddenly receiving his message, Wang Jun was momentarily stunned, then overjoyed.

If they could get the Dripping Lotus sooner, the Aircraft Carrier Base’s water resource problem could be completely solved!
