Global Flood: I Survive on Duckweed

Chapter 273: Chapter 183: Expansion Method, River Bird is Tempted (Part 2)

The yacht and the metal wall rose and fell slightly, but they blocked the sea breeze.

Gazing at the scene before him, Ren Yuanyang nodded in satisfaction. ”Haonan, take them and build the same kind of metal walls on the other three speedboats!”

”Yes!” Qin Haonan replied, leading Jin Ziyu and the others away.

With this setup, the Banyan Forest could continue its outward expansion even without anyone watching over it. All they had to do was move the four boats periodically!

The others curiously watched what Ren Yuanyang and his group were doing. Yu Ren couldn’t hold back his curiosity and asked, ”Leader, what are you guys doing?”

”Expanding the area of the Banyan Forest!” Ren Yuanyang answered with a smile.

Yu Ren’s curiosity piqued. ”This is how you expand the Banyan Forest?”

”Banyans can spread and form an entire forest through their aerial roots. As long as we ensure the roots can soak in the water, they’ll take hold, sprout, and grow into a new banyan tree...” Lin Mu explained from the side.

When Jianghu had previously given Tu Chong and the others a tour of the base, Yu Ren had still been treating his injuries, so he didn’t know about this.

After listening to Lin Mu’s explanation, comprehension dawned on Yu Ren. He gave Ren Yuanyang a thumbs-up. ”I’m thoroughly impressed. Leader, you’re just too damn amazing! To think you could make a banyan tree evolve like this!”

Ren Yuanyang just smiled, not continuing the topic. Instead, he looked at Tu Chong behind him and said, ”Tu Chong, you come with me. Everyone else, get back to your tasks!”

”Yes!” the crowd replied in unison.

Tu Chong trotted over and bowed. ”Leader, you were looking for... *BURP*...”

He burped before he could even finish his sentence!

Ren Yuanyang said with a laugh, ”Looks like you ate your fill at lunch!”

Tu Chong scratched his head, embarrassed. ”It’s been months since I’ve had such a delicious meal, so I ate a bit more than I should have!”

Ren Yuanyang waved it off. ”Eat as much as you can, as long as you don’t burst!”

”Right. Leader, what do you need me to do?” Tu Chong asked again. He was now full of vigor, afraid only that the leader wouldn’t put him to work.

”You know how to butcher common poultry and livestock, correct?” Ren Yuanyang confirmed.

Tu Chong slapped his chest. ”I can do it all. What do you need me to kill?”

Ren Yuanyang nodded slightly. ”Then come with me.”

Tu Chong followed Ren Yuanyang to the southern side of the Banyan Forest. A shed had already been erected there. Inside the shed was a long metal table, on top of which was an assortment of knives!

These tools had all been salvaged during the undercurrent, then further processed by the Gold-Type Evolvers. They were all exceptionally sharp!

Seeing the tools, Tu Chong immediately went over and began to handle them, like a child who had found his favorite toy!

”If you’re missing any kind of tool, just ask Qin Haonan or Jin Ziyu to make it for you,” Ren Yuanyang said.

”This is plenty! It’s a very complete set!” Tu Chong said, his face flushed with excitement. ”What am I killing?”

Xin Wan immediately pointed to a nearby cage. Inside were five chickens, ten pigeons, and two rabbits.

Tu Chong’s eyes lit up at the sight. ’Minister Lin really wasn’t lying to us,’ he thought. ’We’re actually going to eat chicken tonight!’

”Leader, Minister Xin, how many of the chickens should I kill?” Tu Chong asked.

”Kill all of them! Including the pigeons and rabbits,” Ren Yuanyang replied.

”What? All of them? Isn’t that a bit of a waste?” Tu Chong asked, wanting to be sure.

Xin Wan smiled. ”Don’t worry, our base’s farm is well on its way. We won’t be lacking for meat in the future!”

Tu Chong’s eyes widened, but he ultimately nodded.

”Besides, you said it yourself that it’s not a good idea for a butcher to enter the farm,” Xin Wan retorted with a smile. ”I obviously brought them over for you to butcher. If you don’t, wouldn’t keeping them here just stunt their growth?”

Tu Chong nodded again.

”Hold on, have the farm bring that pig over as well,” Ren Yuanyang said after a moment of thought.

”What?!”

This time, it wasn’t just Tu Chong; even Xin Wan was stunned.

”Leader, shouldn’t we let her have one more litter before we slaughter her?” Xin Wan asked, frowning slightly.

”No need. We can’t let them breed too frequently. The piglets we have now are sufficient,” Ren Yuanyang said, shaking his head. ”It’s probably been a long time since anyone has eaten pork. Let’s take the opportunity with this victory feast to let everyone have a real treat.”

Xin Wan was taken aback for a moment, then she nodded. The sow had given birth to fifteen piglets, and the Aircraft Carrier Base had given them another six, making for twenty-one piglets in total. That was indeed more than enough.

’And with the leader’s special ability to make animals grow faster, they might even have to start controlling the breeding rate for the pigs at Peach Blossom Base.’

With this in mind, Xin Wan no longer hesitated and immediately headed toward the farm.

Meanwhile, the dumbstruck Tu Chong finally came to his senses. He was actually going to slaughter a pig!

”Tu Chong, do you need help with the pig?” Ren Yuanyang asked.

”If I have to kill it by force, I will,” Tu Chong nodded slightly. ”But if we can stun it with electricity, I can handle it on my own.”

Ren Yuanyang nodded slightly. ”Then let’s stun it.”

Soon, Xin Wan returned, herding a pig before her.

The moment it got close to Tu Chong, the pig started to become agitated. Ren Yuanyang immediately stepped forward and patted the pig on the head. A subtle arc of electricity passed from his palm into the pig’s skull.

Neither Xin Wan nor Tu Chong saw the arc of electricity. All they saw was Ren Yuanyang step forward, pat the pig on the head, and then watch it collapse to the ground.

Xin Wan froze. ”What just happened?”

”I might have patted it a little too hard and knocked it out. This should make it easier for Tu Chong to do his work. Come on, lend a hand and help me lift it onto the table!” Ren Yuanyang said quickly.
