Urban All-Round Master

Chapter 1138: Chapter 1172: Applying for CEO

“Young Master Lin, are you satisfied with everything here?”

Upon entering Huayu Group, Zhang Mengjie greeted him with a playful smile.

“Satisfied, yes, but I feel like something’s missing?”

Lin Zifeng replied with a mischievous smile.

“I know, is it because that girl didn’t come, and you’re feeling itchy and uneasy?”

Lin Zifeng had mentioned Liu Ruyan to Zhang Mengjie, so she had an idea. After all, isn’t she a CEO? However, Zhang Mengjie had clarified that even if Liu Ruyan came, she might not necessarily be the CEO. Lin Zifeng didn’t oppose this since Liu Ruyan’s experience was indeed quite limited, lacking the maturity of someone like Nangong Bing in managing a group. Giving her a CEO position might not guarantee successful results.

Oh crap, is this involving me?

Lin Zifeng felt a bit dizzy, feeling somewhat pitiful.

Helplessly, he said, “Sister Zhang, can you not be so sarcastic with me? It’s really quite sour.”

Seeing his bitter smile, Zhang Mengjie covered her mouth and chuckled twice, tossing her short, neat hair and smiling, “By the way, will she be able to come today? If she does, how will the company arrange things for her?”

Despite having zero commercial experience, Zhang Mengjie had spent the past few days at home, working tirelessly day and night researching materials. While she didn’t have experience, she was able to grasp some insights from her extensive research.

Now she was Huayu’s highest board executive officer, and naturally, a few board members were appointed under her.

Currently, two important positions are still missing: a president and a CEO.

Many people in the country tend to have a misconception.

Most of them think there’s no difference between a president and a CEO, but that’s not true.

A president, to put it simply, is someone who always gets rid of the company’s useless parasites.

Whereas a CEO is a group’s manager.

Beneath them is a general manager, anyway, the position network in a publicly listed group is quite complex, unlike small companies.

The individuals who have a direct impact on the company are the board members, who then recommend an executive officer.

“Isn’t this something you should decide? You’re now the chairman and executive officer of Huayu.”

“But my executive officer position is just a shell. How far Huayu Group can go in the future still depends on the future. How can someone with my background in the underworld go far?”

Truthfully, in today’s massive information society, anyone with even a slight criminal background can be uncovered.

If Huayu Group truly wants to reach the future, Zhang Mengjie’s background will inevitably be impacted. Who would want to cooperate with someone with a gang background?

If it leads to trouble one day, who could help us?

“Hey, Sister Zhang, why be so melancholic? How far Huayu can go, let’s leave future things to the future to consider. By the way, today’s press conference still needs your help. I’ll just quietly be a background person.” Lin Zifeng said with a smile.

“Rest assured, I’ve already hired someone to handle the press conference, so you can comfortably do your background role.” Zhang Mengjie was speechless, never seen someone so lazy.

After saying goodbye to Zhang Mengjie, Lin Zifeng still felt a bit unaccustomed, suddenly acquiring such an entertainment group, indeed gave him a feeling of unreality.

The afternoon press conference went very smoothly; none of the Nantian Gang executives showed up. Zhang Mengjie called her rarely-seen sister to help deal with those gossipy reporters.

Around three o’clock, following Huayu’s job advertisement, Liu Ruyan drove to Huayu Group.

Staring at the towering building, not losing out to Tianyu Group’s, Liu Ruyan was stunned for a few minutes. In such a few days, Zhonghai has indeed been fiercely competitive.

Recently it was a financial publicly listed company, but in less than a few months, it quickly collapsed. In turn, Huayu Group emerged.

And it came out of nowhere, even without a trace at home or abroad, Huayu.

Many media outlets had interviewed Huayu’s board executives, but unfortunately, Huayu’s blockade was so tight that even a fly wanted to get into Huayu Group, it’s as difficult as climbing to the sky.

“Is the resume I submitted really for this company?”

Getting out of the car, Liu Ruyan looked somewhat bewildered, still unsure whether her resume was indeed for this group.

To know, a CEO is such a prestigious position, and for such an emerging group, there should be many people fighting tooth and nail for it, yet Liu Ruyan simply submitted a resume, contrary to her expectations, was quickly invited for an interview.

This gave Liu Ruyan an unexpected sense of displacement.

“Deep breaths—confidence and attitude. Both are indispensable. It’s just an interview, I, Liu Ruyan, can definitely do it, yes. I, Liu Ruyan, can definitely do it.”

Thinking of what Lin Zifeng told her a few days ago, Liu Ruyan understood some reasoning. So, following this cheeky bodyguard’s advice, if it doesn’t work, so be it.

Indeed, as Liu Ruyan imagined, on the first day, people lining up for an interview at Huayu Group stretched into a long queue, hardly able to squeeze in, commercial elites from all walks of life gathered, imagine the depth of their background to acquire a publicly listed group’s company.

Moreover, Huayu Group offered the highest salaries in the competitive industry.

Benefits are particularly favorable.

In fact, many martial arts and various small and large groups often make a fatal mistake, treating employees too much like employees, preventing them from feeling a sense of family, nor achieving work joy and fulfillment, yet, Tianyu Group has done extraordinarily well.

Many Tianyu employees are hard to poach, although Nangong Bing has high work expectations, she takes excellent care of employee welfare improvements.

This makes many people work hard for Tianyu’s service.

Lin Zifeng learned from Tianyu’s management system, attracting elite talents.

“Excuse me, is there a Ms. Liu Ruyan among you?”

At this moment, someone’s calling Liu Ruyan’s name through the broadcast.

“Me?!”

Liu Ruyan froze.

“If Ms. Liu Ruyan is present, please come in first, we have an exclusive interview activity.”

The gentle, delicate voice in the broadcast left everyone stunned.

“Is it really calling me?” Liu Ruyan still couldn’t quite snap out of her happiness.

“Indeed, confidence is very important. Regardless.”

With confidence soaring, Liu Ruyan strode out of the crowd, instantly capturing every man and woman’s attention from all circles of commercial elites.

“Wow! Such a beautiful woman!”

“So sexy, so beautiful!”

“Is she the Liu Ruyan called by the broadcast? She truly matches her name, stunning.”

Under everyone’s envious gaze, Liu Ruyan walked confidently with her resume towards the Group entrance, her graceful passage instantly drew everyone’s eyes to her charm.
