Chapter 1117: Chapter 1151: Lin Zifeng Raises Hell at the Hospital

The middle-aged security guard looked at Chuqing’s expression and sighed inwardly.

With a bitter smile, he said, “This girl came to this hospital a few days ago. At the time of the check-up, they only did a simple laser scan, then the hospital sent a message saying her corneas were stolen. But the girl didn’t know about it then, so she didn’t come to ask. The hospital didn’t want to make it a big deal, so they kept it hidden. It seems it’s fate, you all still came to find out.”

“So my sister’s corneas were stolen without her knowing?”

Indeed, just now while examining Chuqing, Lin Zifeng discovered her corneas were missing. The little girl seemed to have been kept in the dark.

He’s not a rash person and without understanding the situation, he wasn’t about to make a scene at Huayang Hospital. This wouldn’t affect him, but it would impact Chuqing greatly.

After all, she works at a nearby bookstore for the blind.

“Pretty much, this girl has it tough. She works at that blind bookstore, and she’s well-known for miles around. She’s been an orphan since childhood, adopted by an old lady who collects scrap. Now she helps many blind people in need, which shows she has a good heart.” The middle-aged security guard took two harsh drags of his cigarette, squinting as he asked, “By the way, are you really her brother?”

This was also the confusion on the middle-aged security guard’s face when he first saw Lin Zifeng.

“I’m her foster brother.” Lin Zifeng nodded and thanked him.

Taking Chuqing straight to the hospital, he didn’t blame her for not telling him the whole story.

Chuqing is just too kind, allowing even a hospital to bully her like this.

After entering the hospital, Lin Zifeng had Chuqing sit in the waiting room while he gently caressed her delicate face and took her examination certificate to the doctor’s office.

Today was destined to be the unluckiest day for Huayang Hospital because a demonic presence was slowly nearing them step by step.

Inside the director’s office—

A middle-aged bald man sat on a leather chair, holding the latest model of an iPhone 6, reading an e-novel.

As he read, a lewd smile occasionally flashed across his dingy teeth.

He propped his leg on the desk; the office was utterly silent.

“Knock, knock—”

At this moment, someone lightly knocked twice on the office door.

But there was no response from inside; the man was engrossed in his e-book, smoking, with no mind to spare for the knock on his door, let alone working diligently in Huayang, which was more of a time-killer.

Unless one would be foolish to work sincerely here.

Lin Zifeng stood quietly outside the door, not rushing.

Two young nurses passed by, and from their conversation, he could read their lips, understanding they were interning here because there were free and irresponsible patients to be used as practice subjects at Huayang.

Take injections, for instance; if a mistake happened in a big hospital, it would be a significant issue.

But here, if a problem occurred, they would blame the patient for being weak and prescribe random medication.

In Lin Zifeng’s eyes, the medical ethics here were just a pile of crap.

“Knock, knock—”

Lin Zifeng knocked on the door again, more heavily this time.

“Come in.”

This time, the person inside heard him.

The door opened, and Lin Zifeng entered with a smile.

“Who are you?”

Evidently, Lin Zifeng’s sudden visit surprised the man.

“You must be Director Zhang of Huayang Hospital, right?” Lin Zifeng asked with a smile.

“What do you want? If it’s for consultation, queue outside for registration.”

The man surnamed Zhang began to put on airs again, exercising his director’s authority.

“Director Zhang, I think this slip might have been issued to my sister by you.”

Lin Zifeng took the medical certificate from his pocket and slapped it onto Director Zhang’s desk.

“What do you want?”

Apparently, Lin Zifeng’s attitude made the man uncomfortable.

“Nothing, I just want to know what operations were done on my sister, as even her corneas are gone. I believe you know more about this than I do.” Lin Zifeng smirked coldly at him.

Simply getting Chuqing’s corneas back was too easy; he aimed to bring down Huayang Hospital entirely.

A harmful hospital had no reason to exist in Zhonghai!

“What nonsense are you talking about?! You lunatic, get out of here!”

Evidently, Lin Zifeng’s words struck a nerve, making the man explode in fury.

A smile appeared on Lin Zifeng’s lips as he lunged forward, grabbed the man’s throat, and pulled him close, almost pressing their faces together. He sneered, “I’ll give you one chance now, return my sister’s corneas to me. And as for the scandals of Huayang Hospital, I think you know them better than I do.”

“What are you going to do! This… this is a hospital, what do you intend to do to me?”

Director Zhang was utterly panicked now.

Those cold, fierce eyes were fixed on his, intensely uncomfortable as if a vicious beast was staring him down.

…

Outside, many patients had already gathered and were making a ruckus.

The medical ethics at Huayang Hospital were so rotten that many patients who had been treated demanded justice by coming together and protesting.

Incidents of patients causing trouble at Huayang Hospital were not uncommon.

If it weren’t for their advertising on the internet, boasting extravagantly and being extremely cheap, no one would come here for treatment.

Chuqing came here because she was short on cash, and ended up having her corneas taken away.

Outside, it was chaos.

Yet inside the director’s office, there was no movement.

Lin Zifeng sat leisurely in the leather chair, sipping tea and reading the newspaper, thoroughly enjoying himself.

While Director Zhang had become a swollen pig-headed figure, his face so battered even his mother wouldn’t recognize him.

Kneeling on the ground, looking pitiful.

Occasionally, he’d glance up at Lin Zifeng, then quickly bow his head in fear. Every time his hand touched his face, it was as painful as losing something precious.

The recent beating had taught him an important lesson: there’s a time and place for arrogance!

“Do you understand where you went wrong?” Lin Zifeng asked, eyes fixed on the newspaper without lifting his head.

“I… I truly don’t know, sir. Please, spare me. I’m just a small director here, and I didn’t touch that girl’s corneas.”

Director Zhang was about to cry. No matter how he tried to explain, the other party ignored him.
