Chapter 1116: Chapter 1150: The Hospital That Stole the Cornea (Monthly Ticket)

“What kind of hospital? What did they do to you?!”

Lin Zifeng’s pupils widened in shock, frightening Chuqing.

“Brother, what’s wrong with you?”

“Qingqing, tell me, what exactly did they do to you? Was it just a laser scan?” In such a short time, not only did her condition not improve, it actually worsened.

This was something Lin Zifeng absolutely could not tolerate. If this was true, it indicated there was definitely something wrong with that hospital.

“Brother, don’t be like this, Chuqing is scared.”

Chuqing seemed to feel Lin Zifeng’s icy killing intent, causing her delicate body to shiver.

She didn’t particularly like seeing Lin Zifeng like this.

“I’m sorry, I just got a bit emotional for a moment.” Lin Zifeng quickly calmed down, gently patting her head, feeling somewhat guilty. If he hadn’t neglected her during this time, how could such a situation have arisen?

“It’s okay, brother, what’s really happening? Could it be that my eyes can’t be cured?”

Actually, Chuqing had already prepared for the worst. If her eyes couldn’t be cured, she could only accept her fate.

Destiny has it, so it is; destiny doesn’t have it, so it isn’t—force it not—

Lin Zifeng reactivated his x-ray vision to examine her, discovering that not only had the source of her illness worsened, the malignant aura was three times larger than before!

This, this was simply a drastic change!

Moreover, what alarmed Lin Zifeng the most was that her malignant aura seemed to be growing. This meant that Chuqing’s condition was now extremely dire.

“Qingqing, there’s something I need to tell you. You have to be mentally prepared, but don’t worry too much. Your brother is here. Everything will be okay.” Lin Zifeng said, his tone grave and his voice cold.

The smart Chuqing had a clear mind and could already guess what Lin Zifeng meant.

“Brother, just say it. After all, Chuqing will do whatever you say.” The young girl nodded sensibly.

“Alright, I must tell you, your eyes have worsened significantly compared to before. In other words, if I hadn’t arrived in time today, there was a very real possibility you’d never experience the light of day again.” Lin Zifeng said.

Chuqing didn’t speak, as if she already knew this outcome.

“But don’t worry, I will definitely cure you. Now, take me to that hospital where you received treatment. Let’s see what kind of irresponsible hospital it is, and what sort of useless doctors they have there.”

Lin Zifeng stared intently into her eyes, and suddenly!

He discovered something terrifying—Chuqing’s corneas were gone!!!

“Chuqing! Where are your corneas?”

Boom!!!

Lin Zifeng’s mind exploded.

“Corneas? Brother, are my corneas gone?”

“Damn it!”

Lin Zifeng’s eyes turned red with anger, his fists clenched tightly, making a cracking sound.

He couldn’t even protect his own sister, and that damned hospital had tricked away her corneas.

“Brother, it’s okay, it’ll be okay.” Chuqing continued to comfort him. She knew she was born blind, and even if she had corneas, it would be a waste on her. It might as well be taken by those unscrupulous hospitals to save more people.

“Brother, let’s go seek justice now. This matter no longer involves just you; if hospitals like these go unpunished, what about others? People entrust their lives to them, yet they treat them like this. Every life deserves respect.” Lin Zifeng said, “Take me there now.”

“Mm-hmm.” Chuqing nodded heavily.

…

After saying goodbye to bookstore manager Hua Yudie, Lin Zifeng led Chuqing towards the direction of the nearby hospital.

“Hey, hey! Aren’t you staying for lunch before you leave?” Hua Yudie rushed out of the room, but Lin Zifeng had already left the bookstore with Chuqing.

“What kind of people are they? I was going to make something nice for you this afternoon to thank you. Since you’re not eating, I guess I saved a meal.”

With that, Hua Yudie snorted coldly, swaying her hips as she walked back to the room…

…

Huayang Eye Hospital wasn’t considered a big hospital in the East District. It was said that years ago, some renowned local doctors were stationed there, but later on, these doctors moved to higher places.

After that, Huayang Hospital had no more famous doctors, and over time, the original investors withdrew their funds, selling the hospital to some businessmen.

These businessmen began investing, transforming Huayang Hospital into a relatively famous hospital in the area. However, in recent years, due to the implementation of rural cooperative medical care in the Martial Arts District, the hospital suffered unimaginable losses.

In just a few short years, Huayang Hospital completely fell from grace.

If anyone remembered Huayang’s initial glory, it was the memory of an older generation…

Lin Zifeng brought Chuqing to the entrance of this hospital, where a lazy security guard stood. When he saw Lin Zifeng leading the blind girl over, he clearly remembered when she came for an eye checkup and received bad news, sitting on the ground crying. He even came over to comfort her, and now, just a few days later, she seemed much better emotionally.

“Young lady, you’re back?”

The security guard was a middle-aged man, chubby, with a cigarette clamped between his fingers and a thick gold chain around his neck, giving off an extremely tacky, bizarre feeling.

He was actually a local nouveau riche who, after making some money years ago, handed all his assets to his son to manage. Bored, he came to Huayang Hospital to work as a security guard for an easy job.

“Uncle, th-thank you for last time.”

It was clear that Chuqing still had some secrets she kept from Lin Zifeng.

“No need, no need to thank me. In the future, just don’t come to this hospital. It used to be somewhat reputable, but not anymore. You’d better go to City Hospital.”

The middle-aged security guard shook his head, feeling a bit of sympathy for Chuqing’s situation.

“Hello, sir, I wonder if I could ask you a few questions? I’m her brother.”

Lin Zifeng stepped forward with a smile to introduce himself.

The middle-aged security guard sized up Lin Zifeng a bit, raising the hand with the cigarette to his mouth and humming, “Go on, ask.”

He didn’t have much of a liking for Lin Zifeng because—Lin Zifeng looked more handsome than him.

“I just wanted to ask, did my sister come to this hospital a few days ago?”

Lin Zifeng asked with a smile.

“Yes, she did.” The middle-aged security guard nodded.

“What exactly happened to her? Can you tell me?”

From the way the middle-aged security guard spoke with Chuqing, Lin Zifeng could tell that Chuqing must have suffered some grievance here. Otherwise, the security guard wouldn’t have said such things.
