Urban All-Round Master

Chapter 1008: Chapter 1037: Bad Person, Bad Person, You’re a Bad Person

Then holding the food, she took the little girl to sit on the chair. She placed all the delicacies in front of her.

Watching her eat with great enjoyment.

Zhang Mengjie’s eyes were full of love.

When she was young, she wasn’t as fortunate as the little girl. Back then, she and her sister, if they wanted to eat a good meal, it relied on fists; whoever had the stronger fists would get to eat their fill.

To fill her sister’s stomach, she often got beaten up. She often took her sister to street stalls to eat. After eating, she would let her sister run first, then stay behind herself to draw the attention, usually getting caught herself and taking the beating.

But every time she got some concerned looks from her sister, she felt very satisfied.

”Sister, why aren’t you eating?” The little girl was already greasy, extending her little hand with a piece of chicken wing to Zhang Mengjie’s mouth, wanting to give it to her in a soft voice.

”Yanyan, be good, sister won’t eat, sister isn’t hungry. You eat first. Sister just wants to watch you eat.”

”No! How can Yanyan eat alone? My mom said that one can’t be so selfish, good things must be shared with others. Sister, although Yanyan has already taken a bite of these, they are still clean. Sister, you take a bite.”

The little girl was very understanding, handing over untouched pieces to Zhang Mengjie, not the ones she had bitten.

This left Zhang Mengjie both amused and exasperated.

However, she was stopped by the little girl’s words. Good things are meant to be shared.

Even a child of three or four understood this, so why didn’t her own sisters understand?

Now, Lin Zifeng wants to fight against Tianhong Gang.

Her sisters don’t seem to understand this.

Do they not know that true win-win comes from cooperation?

”Hehe, sister, is it delicious?”

”Delicious, delicious.” Zhang Mengjie smiled slightly, truly finding the food tasty.

”Sister, I see you haven’t eaten much, and Yanyan has eaten everything. Sister, why not let Yanyan give it all to you?”

”Be good~ Yanyan, you eat. Sister isn’t hungry, you finish it. After eating, I’ll take you to find your mom, okay?”

Zhang Mengjie watched her with a smile.

”Okay.”

...

At ten o’clock in the evening. Zhang Mengjie was still waiting, but didn’t see Yanyan’s parents coming for her, which made Zhang Mengjie furrow her brows deeper. Could it be that Yanyan’s parents don’t care about her? After all, Yanyan is their precious daughter.

Such a lovely, good daughter, could they not want her?

The more Zhang Mengjie thought about it, the more uneasy she felt. Several times she wanted to use the power of Nantian Gang to find Yanyan’s parents, but ultimately held back.

Everyone in Nantian Gang was focused on Beihong Gang now. Disturbing Nantian Gang was not a wise choice.

”Sister~ Yanyan wants to go home. Yanyan misses mama.”

At this moment, she seemed to realize something. Looking at the night growing later. Previously, her mom would give her a bath at this time, then coax her to bed. But now?

Her mom wasn’t seen. No home either, for a three or four-year-old girl, it’s like being abandoned. She felt especially uncomfortable, extremely distressed.

”Yanyan, in a moment I’ll take you home, take you to find your mom, okay?” Zhang Mengjie continued to comfort.

”No! Sister, you liar! It’s been so long. You haven’t taken me to find mama! You must be a liar!”

Unexpectedly, the little girl jumped from the seat. Then quickly ran out of the burger shop.

”Yanyan, where are you going?”

Zhang Mengjie chased after her. The little girl was smart. She had been waiting, while Zhang Mengjie comforted her without taking her to find mama.

A child of three or four understood the trick.

”Sister, I don’t believe you anymore. You’re a liar! Help, someone is going to catch me!”

Making Zhang Mengjie’s eyes nearly fall out, the little girl even shouted for help. Her youthful voice was cute, but after running out of the burger shop, a lot of people on the street saw the scene.

Zhang Mengjie’s heart sank. This was bad.

Yanyan really caused a big problem this time.

”Uncle, quick, help me. She’s going to catch me~”

The little girl hid behind a tall man, who dressed very steadily.

Putting the little girl behind him, the man pointed at the approaching Zhang Mengjie and shouted, ”So many people are watching you. How dare you catch someone?”

”If I tell you that things aren’t as they appear, would you believe me?” Zhang Mengjie didn’t waste words to explain.

She couldn’t explain.

”Don’t be afraid, uncle will back you up.”

The man showed immense affection in his eyes. But the little girl didn’t appreciate it, turning and running.

”Hey!”

The man tried to grab her, but she had already run away.

”Stop!”

Zhang Mengjie chased after her, but the man blocked her path.

”Get out of the way!”

Zhang Mengjie didn’t bother with him. Charging forward, she lifted her right knee high, tapped the ground lightly with her right foot, and her body leapt. Her right knee struck the man’s nasal bridge hard.

”Bang!”

The man had no resistance, lying directly on the ground, so much that tears nearly flowed.

”Mind your own business.”

After leaving him a sentence, Zhang Mengjie continued pursuing the direction of the little girl, completely ignoring the knocked-down tall man.

”Help, help, the bad sister wants to catch me.” The little girl’s running became more exciting and faster, making Zhang Mengjie so angry she nearly twisted her nose.

Her intention now was to help the little girl find her mother, but also feared her being kidnapped by bad people, after all, she was so young. She couldn’t let her bear any indelible bad impression.

”The bad sister wants to catch me, the bad sister wants to catch me.”

More and more people began paying attention to the little girl’s situation, making Zhang Mengjie dark-faced, not knowing how to explain to them.

The little girl’s safety mattered a lot to her, since she had kept her by her side all along. She didn’t bring her to find mama. If it were another little girl, she probably would have run away long ago.

Thinking about it, Zhang Mengjie cursed her impulsiveness. While chasing the little girl, she kept scolding herself for being so stupid.

Through the chase, the little girl was already panting.

But Zhang Mengjie was also surrounded by a lot of people.

”Things aren’t as you imagine them.” After a simple sentence, Zhang Mengjie knew explaining further wouldn’t work, so she pressed forward to catch the little girl first, deciding she would definitely take responsibility for today’s matter.

”Miss, please pause!”

Someone stepped forward to stop Zhang Mengjie.

”If you don’t want to die, move!”

Zhang Mengjie was furious.

As an adult, she couldn’t deal with a little kid, which was truly humiliating.

If the little girl’s situation worsened because of her meddling, Zhang Mengjie really felt like dying.

”Bang!”

After kicking aside two strong men, Zhang Mengjie sprinted. Catching up to the little girl, she grabbed her clothes.

”Why are you running? Sister, I’m not evil. Do I look like someone who wants to harm you?”

”You’re a bad person! Bad person! You won’t take me to find mama, you’re a bad person. I won’t believe you. My mom said bad people usually don’t speak bad words, nor show bad intentions on their face. You’re a really bad person!”

The little girl continued struggling in her youthful voice, waving her small fists in discontent.

”Heh... Your mom taught you extensively. Even this. Did your mom teach you that if you eat from someone, you’re indebted, and if you take from someone, you owe them? Since you ate the burger I bought for you, shouldn’t you give something in return?”
