Chapter 1003: Chapter 1032: Tangtang’s New Friend

As expected…

Upon entering the KTV, it was just as Lin Zifeng had guessed. What sort of friends does she have? They were all dressed flamboyantly and heavily made up, you could tell at a glance they weren’t the good kind. This kind of place, and she dares to come alone usually; she’s really unbelievable.

No way! When we get home, I have to give her a lesson on public safety, make her understand how the world is full of slippery slopes and complexity.

“You must be Tangtang then!”

The one greeting Tangtang was a girl no older than seventeen or eighteen. Two men in their early twenties followed behind her, both with slick hairstyles and flashy outfits. At first glance, they didn’t seem like good guys, maybe local thugs or something.

When the two guys saw the stunning arrival of Tangtang, their eyes were wide open, as if they wished they could take their eyes out to have a closer look.

Soon after, they noticed Lin Zifeng behind her. Suddenly, they felt inexplicably displeased.

“Yes. I’m Tangtang. Are you Yunyun?”

Tangtang only recognized Yunyun from photos in the group; she hadn’t met her in person yet.

“Hey! Who’s this uncle?” The flashy-looking girl glanced at Lin Zifeng, who was standing behind Tangtang, with a cheap Red Double Happiness cigarette in his mouth, puffing away.

At first glance, he looked like he popped out from some corner of the world. It’s not that Lin Zifeng’s attire was shabby, but compared to these flamboyantly dressed little buddies, he looked downright rustic.

“He’s my uncle.”

Tangtang said casually and innocently, without getting to introduce him properly.

The girl named Yunyun looked at Lin Zifeng as if he were a strange creature, examining him from head to toe.

“Tsk, tsk, tsk, Tangtang. You sure have unique tastes. So avant-garde. Into the older uncle types, are ya? That’s really original.”

Yunyun walked up to Lin Zifeng, her eyes showing a slight hint of expectation.

“Hello, uncle, I’m Yunyun, nice to meet you. I’m a good friend of Tangtang’s. Well, to be exact, we’re chatroom friends and have never met in person, today is the first time. I didn’t expect Tangtang to have an uncle-level friend. Very pleased to meet you.”

As she spoke, this girl didn’t even feel shy. She reached out to shake Lin Zifeng’s hand, making the two guys behind her immediately a bit jealous.

After all, they’re Yunyun’s friends too, and they insisted on coming along for some fun.

“Ha, I say kiddo, calling me ‘uncle’ all the time, seems like uncle-types are really popular?” Lin Zifeng glanced at her with a bad mood.

Honestly, he couldn’t stand this kind of flashy dressing. He remembered when he first met Tangtang, her dressing was nearly identical, but it was Lin Zifeng who scolded her into shape.

Now she’s mixed up with these kids again, it really felt awkward.

“Hehe… Which celebrity isn’t looking for an uncle-type nowadays? Don’t you get it—too young, no sense of security.”

“Hmph! You’re just a kid, talking about a sense of security?” Lin Zifeng wanted to laugh.

This girl may be young, but she talks like an old soul.

“Damn! Don’t talk about what I do or don’t get, I know way more than you!”

As soon as Yunyun heard Lin Zifeng’s disdainful tone, she was immediately displeased.

Tangtang seemed to know Lin Zifeng was teasing her on purpose. She quickly stepped forward to smooth things over, defusing the brewing tension between them.

Under Yunyun’s lead, they arrived at the assigned private room.

At that moment, inside the private room, things were lively, with seven or eight people partying.

Including Lin Zifeng, Tangtang, Yunyun, and the two guys, there were thirteen people in total!

Five of them were guys.

In this scene, Lin Zifeng felt lucky he came along. If there are more than three guys present, ninety-nine percent of the time, it spells no good.

Especially when drinking and singing in a KTV place like this.

After drinking too much, who can guarantee nothing will happen? Besides, these kids, whether by dress or demeanor, all looked like trouble to Lin Zifeng.

Seeing how they were playing so wildly, Lin Zifeng just acted as a backdrop, finding a spot to sit down alone, having a couple of drinks first. Anyway, today they’re treating, so why not drink and eat to one’s content.

Tangtang’s appearance immediately drew attention from other girls and guys, everyone was curious about her. They were all part of the same circle…

Most of them clung to dreams of stardom, albeit mostly second-generation rich kids, or family princesses and princes. So they were unwilling to suffer. Many couldn’t even make it past extra role stages. They couldn’t endure hardship, so their careers were neither here nor there.

“I recently landed a role in a major drama, set to start shooting soon. The assistant director of the crew took one look at me and said I had great presence. He said I might become the leading lady!”

A tall, slender girl in a dress blurted out as her drunkenness set in. Anyway, boasting doesn’t cost anything.

“Is that so? Mengmeng, you and I are close sisters, could you help introduce me to that assistant director?” a girl nearby asked.

The opportunity arose. She hurriedly approached to butter her up.

“Not right now. The assistant director said this thing isn’t fully public yet, and they won’t need another leading lady. I can’t help you at the moment, but after they wrap up with me, I’ll recommend you guys.”

“Tsk~ not reliable at all.”

A nearby girl rolled her eyes in displeasure, downed her drink, and continued drinking.

“That’s nothing. My cousin’s brother’s wife’s husband works as a vice president in an entertainment company. I heard they’re also preparing a big drama. Recently, I heard rumors I might be selected for a screentest.”

“…”

When women get together, it’s a contest of boasting.

Press them further, and silence ensues.

“Oh right, my dad has a friend who’s a massive big shot in the entertainment industry. If any of you are interested, I could make some introductions.”

A long-haired guy suddenly said.

“Who? Who? Tell us. Which big shot, so incredible.”

At his words, a few girls eagerly gathered around.

“Haha, no big deal. As long as you’re interested, I’ll talk to my father, no problem at all.”

After a heated chat, everyone was getting along, except Lin Zifeng, who felt isolated.

He didn’t mingle in the meaningless boasting. Meanwhile, Tangtang insisted on adding songs for Lin Zifeng, insisting he must sing a song.

The other boys and girls didn’t pay attention to Lin Zifeng. After all, Lin Zifeng didn’t brag. He couldn’t brag.

People who can’t brag naturally aren’t favored as much. Besides, in the eyes of these brats, he’s an uncle, and dresses so plain, no chains, no denim. No matter how you look, he doesn’t have an impressive look.

But the girl named Yunyun incessantly asked Lin Zifeng questions.

She was extremely curious about Lin Zifeng.

“Hey, Tangtang, your uncle seems like a weirdo!”

“Weirdo? Not at all. My uncle’s pretty normal,” Tangtang blinked, replied nonchalantly. In her eyes, the uncle was far from weird, quite normal.
