After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 1825: Chapter 1829: The Duchess’s Call

Luo Xiaoqian bit her lip, worried about Leng Zimo, and stepped around the coffee table, sitting down a bit further away from him. She noticed the fruit knife on the table and quickly looked away.

...

...

United Kingdom, London.

In Qingdao, it was already late at night, but here it was still a warm afternoon. However, sitting inside the car, Leng Zimo wasn’t in the mood to enjoy the sunshine at all.

After more than ten hours of flying, he finally arrived in London to meet up with Ah Sang and the others.

Upon deplaning and turning on his phone, he received a message from Xu Xia.

But ”an old factory” was such a vague lead; in such a big city, who knows how many old factories there could be.

”Do your people have any news?!” Leng Zimo frowned and asked Ah Sang.

Ah Sang hung up the phone, ”No news yet.”

Just then, Leng Zimo’s phone suddenly rang. Seeing the caller, Leng Zimo raised his hand to answer.

”Are you Mr. Leng Zimo? I’m Jiao Yang’s mother.” The gentle voice on the other end belonged to Jiao Yalin, Jiao Yang’s mother, ”Do you have any more news about my son?”

After taking the call from Leng Zimo, Jiao Yalin, though half-doubtful, informed her husband since it concerned her son.

The Duke of Kent had already ordered people to search for Jiao Yang, but they only found the car Jiao Yang had left on the street, with no other leads. Upon hearing that his son was kidnapped, he immediately deployed all resources to search.

But finding one person in such a large city was like looking for a needle in a haystack. Although over ten hours had passed, they still couldn’t determine where Jiao Yang was.

Helpless, Jiao Yalin had to seek Leng Zimo’s help.

This wasn’t her first call; previously, she couldn’t get through because Leng Zimo’s phone was off during the flight.

”Let’s meet,” Leng Zimo said.

This was not Beijing or Hong Kong; getting help from the Duke of Kent would make finding Jiao Yang much easier.

”Sure, if you don’t mind, please come directly to the Duke’s Mansion,” Jiao Yalin provided the address, ”I’m very grateful for everything you’ve done for my son.”

”It’s my duty. See you soon!” Leng Zimo hung up, frowning even more, ”To the Duke of Kent’s Mansion!”

So far, the Duke of Kent had not found Jiao Yang, suggesting Luo Ke’s actions were very covert this time.

Where could this guy be hiding Jiao Yang?!

The car quickly drove into the city and halted in front of a European-style mansion.

Jiao Yang’s father’s family was one of the ancient noble families in the United Kingdom. This ancient residence was built during the Victorian Era and had undergone several restorations. Despite being two hundred years old, it showed no signs of decay.

As the car approached, the gate was already open.

A butler in a tailcoat was waiting inside the gate. Upon confirming that the person in the car was Leng Zimo, he respectfully guided Leng Zimo and the others up the steps. ”The Duke and Duchess are waiting for you!”

Leng Zimo stepped up the stairs with a confident stride, exuding a grace and composure that matched the grandeur of the ancient residence.

In the living room, Jiao Yalin had already stood up to greet them, while the Duke of Kent merely rose from the sofa, his expression quite indifferent.
