Chapter 1815: Chapter 1819: A Drowned Child

A child so young, appearing alone at the seaside in a diving suit, is truly unusual.

The old man held Xinger’s shoulder, ”Please, call the police, I think this child may have had an accident.”

The doctor nodded and immediately took out his phone from his pocket.

”You help treat him, I’ll call the police.”

...

...

In the old house.

Luo Xiaoqian sat on the small bench in the courtyard, holding a phone in one hand and tightly clenching the bullet necklace Luo Jun had left behind in the other.

”Xiao Qian, have a sip of water?”

Xu Xia carefully offered a cup of clear water to her, but she simply ignored it.

In the living room, several people watched her, all frowning, faces full of worry.

As night approached, there was still no news of Luo Jun, and it wasn’t just Luo Xiaoqian who was anxious, everyone else was too, even the little girl Qin Wanwan was quietly nestled in Huangfu Ruo’s arms, her little face also filled with worry.

The phone on the table suddenly rang, and everyone simultaneously turned their gaze.

Leng Lin grabbed the phone and answered it immediately, ”Hello?!”

”Old Leng, we just received a report about a child found drowned at the seaside, the age is somewhat similar to the young master, do you... want to go check it out?!”

Leng Lin’s hand trembled, and the handset nearly dropped, ”Alright, I’ll... I’ll come over right away.”

”Is there news of Mo Mo?!” Luo Xiaoqian, who had been silent, rushed over anxiously.

”Ah... no!” Leng Lin quickly shook his head, ”It’s the matter on the yacht that needs handling, I’m just going to take a look.”

The other party mentioned a drowned child, which was hard for him to bear. How could he dare tell the truth to Luo Xiaoqian?

Upon hearing this, the joy on Luo Xiaoqian’s face instantly turned back to worry.

Leng Lin couldn’t bear to see her expression, so he stood up, ”Yizhou, Qin Lan, you two come with me!”

Shen Yizhou and Qin Lan looked at his expression and immediately stood up to follow him outside.

”Take good care of her.” Leng Lin gently patted Xu Xia’s arm and strode out the door.

”Xiao Qian, why don’t you go upstairs and rest for a while?!” Xu Xia hurried over to support Luo Xiaoqian’s arm.

”Yes, Madam, you should lie down upstairs for a bit, if there’s any news, I’ll inform you immediately.” Cheang Xiao also advised.

”That’s right, Xiao Qian, go rest for a while, you are pregnant, after all.”

Huangfu Ruo and Tong Ya also came to persuade her.

Xu Xia carefully helped Luo Xiaoqian upstairs and settled her on the pillow.

”Leave me alone.” Luo Xiaoqian said softly.

”Then have a good rest, don’t overthink, Mo Mo will definitely be alright.” Xu Xia helplessly got up and went downstairs.

Luo Xiaoqian couldn’t sleep, just staring at her phone, clenching the necklace, tears once again uncontrollably streaming down.

”Mo Mo, I’m sorry, promise your mom, you must be safe!”

Facing everyone, she tried to control her emotions, but now they were finally suppressed to the extreme.

...

...

In the car, Shen Yizhou glanced at Leng Lin beside him.

”Uncle Leng, what’s really going on?”

If it truly was about the yacht, he wouldn’t have called them to accompany him.

Seeing Leng Lin’s somber face, Shen Yizhou and Qin Lan already sensed something was amiss.

Leng Lin took a deep breath, ”Just now, the police called me, saying... they found a drowned child... age similar to Mo Mo, I didn’t dare tell Xiao Qian, for fear she couldn’t handle it, we’re going over first... maybe, it isn’t Mo Mo!”
