After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 1813: Chapter 1817: I Will Repay You a Hundredfold

”I don’t want it!”

Luo Jun pushed away the bread that the little girl offered him. The little girl was unprepared, and the bread in her hand fell onto the sandy ground.

Looking at the bread on the sand and the shocked expression in the little girl’s big eyes, Luo Jun’s young face stiffened. He had only intended to push her hand away, not expecting the bread to fall to the ground.

The little girl paused, then quickly bent down, carefully picked up the fallen bread from the ground, meticulously blew the sand off it, and put the bread back into its packaging. She took out another unopened one from the plastic bag, ripped the seal open forcefully, and offered it to Luo Jun again.

”That one is dirty, eat this one!”

Afraid that Luo Jun might drop the bread again, she held onto the bread tightly with her small hands.

Luo Jun stood still, not moving. The little girl looked at his face, raised her little hand, and moved the bread closer to him.

”Eat it!”

The bread was just the most ordinary bread, without filling, and certainly not freshly baked; its aroma was very faint.

However, that faint aroma was undoubtedly a great temptation to the already very hungry Luo Jun.

”I won’t eat it.”

He repeated again.

This time, though, the three words were noticeably softer than before, with significantly less anger.

He had a bad temper, but Luo Xiaoqian was not the type of mother who would indulge him, and Luo Jun was well aware that he should apologize for knocking the bread out of her hand just now.

But his pride and inner arrogance stopped him from admitting his mistake to the little girl.

Putting down the bag in her hand, the little girl grabbed his hand and stuffed the bread into it, ”Eat it, Grandpa says if you stay hungry you’ll never grow tall.”

Luo Jun looked at the bread in his hand and instinctively swallowed, ”In the future, I’ll repay you a hundred times over.”

Seeing him willing to accept her bread, the little girl smiled sweetly, immediately took his arm, and led him to sit next to the rocky shore. She sat down beside him and took out a box of milk from the bag, handing it to him. Having accepted the bread, the milk was naturally taken by Luo Jun as well.

Normally, such ordinary bread would certainly be unappetizing to Luo Jun, but now the very hungry kid felt that this bread was the world’s finest delicacy.

He took big bites of the bread and occasionally drank a sip of milk.

Although there was more in the bag, the little girl didn’t eat and just silently watched him eat.

Noticing the sand on his cheek, the little girl naturally raised her small hand to wipe it off for him.

When her hand touched his forehead, she was surprised and furrowed her slender eyebrows, then pressed her small hand against his forehead.

His forehead was burning hot in the palm of her hand.

”Oh, you’re feverish!”

”I’m fine...”

Luo Jun coughed lightly and turned his face away.

He was not very accustomed to such closeness from strangers.

”You need medicine for your fever; otherwise, it could damage your brain, and you’ll become silly.” The little girl looked worried as she stood up, reaching out to grab his arm, ”Let me take you to find Grandpa...”

Luo Jun stood up with her, but after two steps, he stopped weakly. His head felt very uncomfortable, dizzy, and his arms and legs seemed to be soft and weak.

”I can’t walk.”

The little girl quickly came over to support him, putting his arm over her frail shoulder, she helped and dragged him towards the shore.
