After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 1822: Chapter 1826: How Is He?

Suburban Hospital.

In the parking lot, Leng Lin and his companions hurriedly got out of the car, rushing into the emergency ward.

At the entrance, Tong Ya was already waiting, and upon seeing them, she immediately stepped forward.

”This way!”

They followed her into the emergency ward, pushed the door open, and entered.

Inside, on the hospital bed, Luo Jun had his eyes tightly shut and his small face flushed. A drip needle was inserted into his small hand outside the blanket, while Xu Xia stood beside his bed.

On the other side of the bed was a little girl wearing a white camisole dress with big eyes, slender and petite.

At that moment, the little girl was using a small handkerchief to wipe the sweat off Luo Jun’s forehead.

”Mo Mo!”

Seeing that familiar little face, Leng Lin felt a warmth in his eyes as his vision instantly blurred.

”Uncle Leng!”

Afraid he might get overly emotional and trigger his hypertension, Tong Ya and Shen Yizhou hurriedly supported his arm.

Leng Lin took a deep breath, controlled his emotions, and was guided by them to Luo Jun’s bedside, reaching out a large hand. Leng Lin gently touched Luo Jun’s small face, ”How is he...?”

”The doctor said the fever was caused by acute pneumonia. It’s gone down now. He’s just exhausted, and once he rests a bit, he should wake up.” Xu Xia said softly.

Only then did Leng Lin breathe a sigh of relief, ”Have you called Xiao Qian?”

”I just called, but no one answered, same with Cheang Xiao’s phone...” Xu Xia frowned, looking worried.

As soon as she spoke, Leng Lin’s phone rang.

He pulled out his phone, glanced at Huangfu Ruo’s number, and frowned as he answered.

”Ruoruo?”

On the phone, Huangfu Ruo’s voice was urgent, ”Uncle Leng, it’s bad. Xiao Qian has been kidnapped. Please hurry and find someone to save her!”

Leng Lin’s arm trembled, ”What’s going on?!”

”After you left, suddenly someone barged in. Cheang Xiao stayed behind to deal with them, while Xiao Qian and I took Wanwan and escaped upstairs. But when we reached the small plaza, Xiao Qian went out to check the car and got grabbed by them...” Huangfu Ruo’s voice was uncontrollable over the phone, ”Hurry, Uncle Leng, please go rescue Xiao Qian. It’s Luo Ke, I saw him. They put Xiao Qian in a car and took her away...”

Leng Lin suppressed his distress, ”Where are you now?”

”Wanwan and I are hiding in a house in the village. I’ve already called my brother...” Huangfu Ruo cried as she replied.

”Okay, stay there and don’t move. I’ll find someone to rescue Xiao Qian. You and your daughter, don’t run around.”

”I understand.”

Leng Lin hung up the phone, immediately turning around and rushing towards the door, ”Xu Xia, Yizhou, take good care of Mo Mo, Qin Lan, you come with me,...”

”Uncle Leng?” Qin Lan quickly pursued him, ”What’s happening?”

”Xiao Qian has been taken by Luo Ke. Ruoruo and Wanwan are still hiding in the village. We don’t know how Cheang Xiao and the others are doing, we must return at once.” Leng Lin said as he dashed out of the ward door.

Upon hearing this, Qin Lan’s anxiety filled her heart, and she supported his arm, quickly heading downstairs.

The two returned to the car, and Leng Lin immediately instructed the guard to drive. He then pulled out his phone to dial a number.

”This is Leng Lin, enforce a citywide lockdown, seal off the airport, no flights are allowed. Also, help me check the planes and passengers that arrived in the last two hours... I don’t care what methods you use, but no one is to leave the city!”
