Beautiful CEO’s Top Martial Expert

Chapter 98: Chapter 98 Xiao Ruolin’s Plea for Help

”You’re too weak, in my eyes you are but an ant,” said the figure in the black robe coldly, slowly approaching Xiao Ruolin.

”It’s been a while since I’ve toyed with a beauty like you, and today I shall have my fun,” laughed the figure in the black robe wickedly, moving closer to Xiao Ruolin.

Xiao Ruolin’s mouth was stained with fresh blood, her face looking ghastly, her eyes flickering, hands frantically groping on the ground.

”Come on then!”

As the figure in the black robe pounced toward Xiao Ruolin, she suddenly grabbed a handful of sand from a pile behind her and threw it, blinding her assailant with a cloud of sand grains.

Taking advantage of the moment, Xiao Ruolin unleashed all her latent strength, leapt up, and shot away towards the distance, vanishing from her original spot.

”Damn it!” a chilly, somber voice uttered from the mouth of the figure in the black robe, who also disappeared on the spot.

In the secret interlayer of the eleventh floor of this building, Xiao Ruolin was hidden, with piles of cement bags in front of her, making the spot difficult for anyone to find.

Xiao Ruolin dared not even breathe too heavily, her expression extremely serious, her face tense, her mind racing for a solution. Given that person’s terrifying abilities, she believed he would find her soon.

When that happened, she would be done for, and even if other police officers arrived, they might not be able to handle this individual. The person was no ordinary murderer.

In Xiao Ruolin’s estimation, her adversary was a true expert; ordinary firearms might not work against him, and there would likely be greater casualties.

Her mind was a whirl of thoughts until suddenly, an image popped into her mind.

Xiao Yifeng!

Indeed, the figure that now appeared in Xiao Ruolin’s mind was none other than Xiao Yifeng. From her few encounters with him, she knew he was a deeply hidden expert, although she was unsure who was more formidable between them.

Somehow, Xiao Ruolin took out her phone and called Xiao Yifeng. At that moment, her heart told her that only this man, who had taken advantage of her on numerous occasions, could help her.

”Hey, pretty cop, missed me?”

The lazy voice of Xiao Yifeng came over the phone. Typically, Xiao Ruolin would explode with anger, but this time she restrained herself, whispering, ”Xiao Yifeng, something has gone wrong here; I need your help.”

”Yo, with your fiery temper, what kind of trouble could you be in?” teased Xiao Yifeng.

Suppressing the anger in her heart, Xiao Ruolin briefly explained the situation and asked, ”Are you coming or not?”

There was only silence on the other end of the phone, no reply. Xiao Ruolin couldn’t help but speculate that this guy might be scared, what a coward.

A hint of disappointment surfaced in Xiao Ruolin’s heart; perhaps, subconsciously, she wished for Xiao Yifeng to appear.

”Hide well, wait for me.”

Suddenly, four words came over the phone before it cut off, shocking Xiao Ruolin.

”Is he coming to save me?” she murmured to herself, showing a complex look on her face.

”No need to hide any longer, come out; I already know where you are,”

That chilling, ethereal voice reached Xiao Ruolin’s ears, making her nerves jump, her fists clench tightly, holding her breath as cold sweat began to form on her forehead. At that moment, her heart seemed to have stopped beating.

Through a gap, Xiao Ruolin saw the figure in the black robe appearing there, his eyes under the robe casting a gloomy gaze around, tension strung through her entire being.

Whoosh!

All of a sudden, the gaze of the figure in the black robe swept towards the place where Xiao Ruolin was hiding, startling her into stepping back and stepping on a wooden stick, making a creaking noise.

”Hehehe...”

A sinister, eerie laugh echoed, followed by a loud bang, the cement bag outside the hidden compartment where Xiao Ruolin was hiding burst open in all directions.

A dark shadow floated over, and in an instant, Xiao Ruolin was exposed in front of the opponent, her face stricken with fear and her body trembling.

Outside the building, stood more than a dozen pale-faced police officers, wearing expressions of terror. They had just escaped from inside the building, each looking toward it with worry in their eyes yet not daring to re-enter.

Soon, a procession of police and SWAT vehicles arrived at the scene, dozens in total. A group of officers and fully armed SWAT team members rushed out, and DH District Bureau Chief Dai Li, clad in his police uniform, walked over.

”Chief!”

The dozen or so officers saw Dai Li and hastily called out to him.

”Where are the others? And where is Captain Xiao?” Dai Li swept his gaze around, asking in surprise.

The group of officers recounted what had happened, causing Dai Li’s expression to change. He barked an order, ”How could you do this? Captain Xiao has been too impulsive! What’s Captain Xiao’s situation now?”

”We don’t know, but that murderer is incredibly powerful; I’m afraid Captain Xiao is no match for him.”

”Notify the SWAT team to prepare for action immediately. Storm the building and be sure to capture the suspect,” Dai Li commanded sternly.

”If you don’t want to see this beautiful officer die horribly, it would be wise not to act rashly.”

Just then, the walkie-talkies of the officers who had escaped suddenly transmitted a chilling voice.

Dai Li’s expression hardened, and he grabbed the walkie-talkie, speaking in a deep voice, ”Don’t you dare harm Captain Xiao! What do you want to do?”

”Just stay put outside. I still have ten police officers in my hands. If you dare step one foot inside, I’ll kill one,” the cold voice said before cutting off abruptly on the walkie-talkie.

”Damn it!” Dai Li was so furious his face turned blue, and he clenched his fists tightly.

”Chief, what do we do now? The captain is in great danger,” the dozen or so officers said with faces full of concern.

”I know, but the suspect currently has hostages, we can’t act recklessly. This situation seems to be getting out of control; we must report it immediately and request support from special forces,” Dai Li said solemnly.

”There’s no need for that trouble.”

A figure suddenly appeared, it was Xiao Yifeng.

”Mr. Xiao!”

Dai Li, surprised to see Xiao Yifeng, said with a start, ”Mr. Xiao, what are you doing here? It’s dangerous; you should leave at once.”

”I’m here to save someone.”

Xiao Yifeng’s gaze swept over the building. His ”perspective eye” activated, taking in all the details inside.

”Save someone?” Both Dai Li and the officers were taken aback.

”All of you, stay outside. This opponent is not something you can handle,” Xiao Yifeng said, and with a flash, he darted towards the building at lightning speed.

”Xiao...” Dai Li hadn’t finished his sentence when Xiao Yifeng had already entered the building.

”Chief, what do we do now? Do we take action?”

Dai Li narrowed his eyes, flashing briefly, then said, ”Wait a moment. Perhaps a miracle will occur.”
