Chapter 84: Chapter 84: The Mistress Meets the Wife

”You...” Qiu Yuying glared at Xiao Yifeng with a face full of rage and snorted coldly, ”Do you realize this was my first kiss, which was just taken by a jerk like you.”

”Really, this was my first kiss too,” Xiao Yifeng touched his own lips and murmured, silently reciting in his heart, it was your first kiss with me.

Qiu Yuying’s eyes were full of indignation and helplessness as she glared at Xiao Yifeng, resigning herself to bad luck.

”How about I let you kiss me back?” Xiao Yifeng suddenly proposed, angering Qiu Yuying so much that she walked out immediately.

When Xiao Yifeng and Qiu Yuying reached the elevator, ready to go down, the doors opened and a group of people walked out. Both Qiu Yuying and Xiao Yifeng were stunned to see the crowd.

The people coming out of the elevator were none other than Ye Yaxin and Hu Jie, and of course, a group of men in suits, led by a middle-aged man with blond hair and blue eyes.

He exuded the air of someone of high position, with sharp and intelligent eyes. By his side was a young man in a white suit, blond-haired with fair, handsome features and a hint of a dissolute and irreverent nature.

The moment his gaze met Xiao Yifeng’s, his azure pupils narrowed and a look of shock flashed through his eyes. He was about to speak but closed his mouth the next second.

”Yuying, how come you two are here?” Ye Yaxin asked, puzzled as she looked at Qiu Yuying and Xiao Yifeng.

”President, I’ll explain to you later. If you have things to do, please go ahead,” Qiu Yuying said with an unnatural expression.

”All right,” Ye Yaxin glanced at Xiao Yifeng again, then turned her attention to the foreign middle-aged man and said, ”Mr. Leon, this way, please.”

The blond-haired foreign man casually swept a glance over Xiao Yifeng and headed towards the inside of the restaurant, with Hu Jie also casting a glance at Xiao Yifeng.

After Ye Yaxin and others left, Qiu Yuying’s expression returned to normal, but Xiao Yifeng looked at her and commented, ”You look as if a mistress has just seen the rightful wife.”

”You’re the mistress!”

Qiu Yuying’s face filled with anger as she gave Xiao Yifeng another glare.

At that moment, Ye Yaxin and her party had already entered a large private room.

”Mr. Leon, Young Master Foss, please take a seat.”

Ye Yaxin looked at the foreign middle-aged man and the young foreign man beside him with a smile, showing a demeanor of respect.

One of them was the CEO of Forlin Group, a major conglomerate ranking among the world’s top ten, and the other was the second son of the current Patriarch of the Foss Family, which backed the Forlin Group, both of whom could be said to be top figures in M Country’s high society and beyond comparison even to Ye Yaxin’s status.

”President Ye, I’m truly impressed that someone as young as you is able to control a corporation worth tens of billions,” Leon said with a smile at the corner of his mouth.

”You’re too kind, Mr. Leon. Compared to you, what I have is insignificant,” Ye Yaxin said with a smile.

”Leon, my friend, it’s been a long time since we drank together. Now that you’re here in Tianhai, we must have a good drink,” Hu Jie said with a laugh.

”You, when I wanted you to come to Forlin Group and offered you a vice-president position, you chose to return to your country and joined Ye Corporation instead. I couldn’t understand it at the time, but now it seems even heroes have a weakness for beauty,” Leon remarked with a meaningful glance at Ye Yaxin.

”Haha,” Hu Jie laughed loudly, a glint in his eyes.

At this moment, Foster, who had been silent, couldn’t help but speak as he looked at Ye Yaxin, ”Miss Ye, who was the gentleman we just saw?”

”Oh, he...”

”He’s just an employee from the sales department of our Ye Corporation,” Hu Jie interjected. Ye Yaxin gave him a glance and said nothing more.

Foster smiled and said nothing, his eyes narrowed, sparkling with light.

After leaving the restaurant, Ye Luo and Qiu Yuying returned to the company. Back at her own seat, Xiao Yifeng saw Fang Siqi sitting at hers, looking somewhat upset and downcast.

”Siqi, what’s wrong?” Xiao Yifeng could tell something had happened just by looking at Fang Siqi and hurriedly asked.

”Brother Xiao, I’m fine,” Fang Siqi shook her head.

”Siqi, what exactly happened? Didn’t you say you were going to visit that girlfriend of Zhang Hua Brother with him? Did something go wrong?” Xiao Yifeng asked anxiously.

”Today I went with my brother to the Jiang Family. We intended to have a good talk with Aunt Jiang and see if we could get them to lower their demands. But when we arrived, we found that they were discussing marriage with a young man for my sister Yu Yan,” Fang Siqi said, her head bowed.

”Yu Yan is your brother’s girlfriend, right?”

Fang Siqi nodded and said, ”Yes, we later learned from sister Yu Yan that it was the son of a leader from the government department where Uncle Jiang works who took a fancy to her. He proposed, and once Aunt Jiang’s family found out, they agreed straight away.”

”That’s why they deliberately made things difficult for our family, they wanted to force my brother to give up the marriage so they could marry sister Yu Yan to that leader’s son.”

”When my brother found out, he couldn’t take it and wanted to confront the guy. But they just had someone beat him up and even said they’re going to hold the wedding in two days. Brother Xiao, what should we do?” Fang Siqi said, her eyes brimming with tears.

”How badly is your brother hurt? Is it serious?” Xiao Yifeng asked urgently.

”It’s just some superficial wounds, but my brother has become incredibly worn out. I know his heart is in a lot of pain. He and sister Yu Yan have been together since university, and after so many years, their feelings are very deep. Now that this has happened, he must be finding it hard to accept,” Fang Siqi spoke in a somber tone.

”Take me to see your brother,” Xiao Yifeng said directly.

Fang Siqi looked at Xiao Yifeng and nodded.

Driving back to the shanty area, Xiao Yifeng followed Fang Siqi into the Fang Family home.

”Little Feng, you’re here.”

Fang Zhen had a grim look on his face as he saw Xiao Yifeng and spoke anxiously, his expression fraught with worry.

”I’ve come to see how Zhang Hua Brother is doing,” Xiao Yifeng said.

”Ah, Little Feng, since you’re here, please persuade Zhenghua to let go of this love affair. We can only say that they were destined to meet but not destined to be together,” Fang Zhen said, shaking his head and sighing.

Fang Siqi led Xiao Yifeng into Fang Zhenghua’s room, where a strong smell of alcohol filled the air.

In the cramped room, Fang Zhenghua was sitting on the bed, continuously drinking beer from a bottle, with several bruises on his face and hands, and a band-aid pasted on. At his feet was a pile of empty beer bottles.
