58: Chapter 58 Rival’s Provocation 58: Chapter 58 Rival’s Provocation Just then, a lazy voice rang out as Xiao Yifeng nonchalantly walked over with a toothpick in his mouth and casually sat down next to Ye Yaxin, pulling up a chair.

Upon witnessing this scene, Hu Jie’s expression remained unchanged, his eyes narrowed slightly.

The surrounding employees all looked over, sensing the anticipation of drama, aware that Xiao Yifeng was their CEO’s fiancé.

Previously, when Yang Hao, the young master of Yang Corporation, confessed his love to Ye Yaxin, it had been disrupted by Xiao Yifeng.

Now, with the appearance of Hu Jie, it was uncertain what Xiao Yifeng would do.

Watching Xiao Yifeng, both Qiu Yuying and Ye Yaxin’s gaze were fixed on him, their eyes twinkling brightly.

“This must be Ya Xin’s fiancé, Mr.

Xiao,” Hu Jie said, looking at Xiao Yifeng with a smile on his face.

“Indeed, I am Ya Xin’s fiancé.

Since you want to take my fiancée out for dinner, why don’t you bring me along?”

As he spoke, Xiao Yifeng wrapped his arms around Ye Yaxin’s waist.

She tensed up, her gaze flickered, but she said nothing, while Hu Jie’s expression shifted slightly.

However, Hu Jie maintained his composure well, and despite some anger, he calmly said, “I’m sorry, but even though you’re Ya Xin’s fiancé, you still don’t have the qualifications to dine with me.

If it weren’t for Ya Xin, you wouldn’t even have the right to sit here.”

Hu Jie’s words were sharp, radiating an aristocratic grace as he looked at Xiao Yifeng with a hint of disdain in his eyes.

“Is that so?

It’s a pity that this person, who lacks the qualifications to dine with you, shares a house daily with the goddess of your dreams.

What do you make of that?” Xiao Yifeng said with a playful smirk.

Pfft!

Qiu Yuying, who was drinking her beverage across from them, spat it out upon hearing Xiao Yifeng’s brazen words.

She looked at Xiao Yifeng with a look of astonishment, then at Ye Yaxin, who also appeared somewhat uncomfortable, though she remained silent.

And with that statement, Xiao Yifeng thoroughly checkmated Hu Jie.

The always composed man could no longer keep his cool.

Indeed, it would be difficult for any normal man to remain calm after hearing those words.

Hu Jie’s face darkened, his eyes flashing with a cold light as he looked at Xiao Yifeng, “Although I don’t know how you became Ya Xin’s fiancé, I must tell you that you are utterly unworthy of being with her.”

“What do you think you can bring to Ya Xin by being together?

As far as I know, you’re just a minor employee in the sales department.

Your presence alongside Ya Xin is a disgrace to both her and the entire Chu’s Corporation.”

“I’m different.

I’m a business prodigy from Wall Street in M Country.

Only I am capable of helping Ya Xin, enabling Ye Corporation to grow even stronger.”

Directing his gaze at Ye Yaxin, Hu Jie spoke with deep affection, “Ya Xin, before I returned to China, seven international conglomerates offered me a yearly salary in the tens of millions to join their companies, but I rejected all of them and came back to Ye Corporation, all because of my love for you.”

“We’ve grown up together since childhood.

My love for you hasn’t changed over decades, and I believe that together we can turn Ye Corporation into a legend in the business world of China.”

“Please, legends?

You’ve been watching too many TV dramas,” Xiao Yifeng snorted disdainfully, giving Hu Jie a disinterested glance:

“All that you’re saying is nonsense.

Right now, I am Ye Yaxin’s fiancé, and we live together.

She’s already my woman.

Stay away from her.

I don’t have a good temper, and if you keep bothering my fiancée, be careful or I’ll throw you out of here.”

Hu Jie sneered, “Do you think you’re capable of that?

I’m not afraid to tell you, I’ve learned boxing for a while from the champion Olis in M Country.

To me, you are nothing but an ant.”

“Really?” Xiao Yifeng slowly stood up, his right hand striking out like lightning, hitting Hu Jie right in the abdomen.

The latter screamed miserably as his face turned the color of a pig’s liver.

“Bastard!” Hu Jie cursed angrily, enduring the pain to throw a punch at Xiao Yifeng with all his might.

Xiao Yifeng grabbed Hu Jie’s fist with one hand, and lifted him by the waist with the other, spinning around to throw him to the ground, where he landed heavily, his face twisted in agony.

“So, you’ve been trained in boxing, huh?

Looks to me like you’ve only trained in bed with women,” Xiao Yifeng said disdainfully as he dusted off his hands.

At that moment, Ye Yaxin rose to her feet, looked at the Hu Jie lying on the ground, and commanded, “Someone, take Manager Hu to the hospital.”

“You, come to my office with me.” Ye Yaxin’s eyes swept over Xiao Yifeng before she left the room directly.

Inside the CEO’s office.

“Remember, if you dare spread rumors again about us living together, pack your things and move out of the villa immediately,” Ye Yaxin said to Xiao Yifeng coldly.

“But we really are living together,” Xiao Yifeng said innocently.

“You’re still talking!” Ye Yaxin’s eyes flashed with cold fury, frightening Xiao Yifeng into silence.

“You’re not allowed to lay hands on Hu Jie anymore.

He has a strong business acumen, which is very beneficial to Ye Corporation.

Moreover, his father is Hu Mingrui, and I don’t want any more disturbances in the Ye Family,” Ye Yaxin stated solemnly and authoritatively.

Unable to help himself, Xiao Yifeng retorted, “What if he keeps hitting on you?

Am I supposed to just stand by and do nothing, letting myself be cuckolded…”

Before Xiao Yifeng could finish his last two words, he felt a piercingly cold chill sweep over him.

Seeing Ye Yaxin’s frosty expression, he quickly clammed up.

“I don’t like him, and I won’t have anything to do with him.

Just focus on your own tasks and that will be fine,” Ye Yaxin said in a grave tone.

Just then, the door to the office was flung open, and Hu Mingrui, looking grim, walked in.

His eyes cold as he glared at Xiao Yifeng, he barked, “Kid, don’t think that just because you’re the CEO’s fiancé, you can do whatever you please.

How dare you hurt my son so viciously!”

“He asked for it; it has nothing to do with me,” Xiao Yifeng said casually.

Hu Mingrui stared at Xiao Yifeng, his face full of rage, then turned to Ye Yaxin, “President, my son has now been appointed as a department manager of Ye Corporation, a senior executive.

This guy attacked a high-ranking corporate employee for no reason, causing him to be hospitalized.

Such a person must be fired at once, and he should leave the Ye Family immediately.”

“Uncle Hu, please calm down.

Don’t be so angry.

Although it was somewhat wrong for Xiao Yifeng to send Hu Jie to the hospital, it was due to some personal issue between them, unrelated to work.”

“Moreover, he was personally arranged to enter Ye Corporation by my grandfather.

Even if I wanted to fire him, I would need to get my grandfather’s consent.

Please forgive me, Uncle Hu,” Ye Yaxin spoke calmly and with equanimity.

“Ye Yaxin, you…” Hu Mingrui, pointing at Ye Yaxin, looked frantic with anger and said in a deep voice, “Fine, even if we don’t fire him, he must personally apologize to my son.”
