I Am Your Natural Enemy

The sound kept echoing in this mountain crevice, and when Wang Jianjun turned his head to look back, he saw the local guide holding a shotgun with a shortened barrel, and with one foot, kicking his wife to the ground, aiming the shotgun at her.

”Don’t stop, keep digging, faster, if you dare to stop, the next shot will hit her.”

The villager with a long scar on his forehead had completely lost his previous kindness, leaving only a ferocious face.

This image and expression instantly made Wang Jianjun recall.

That year, a few young men broke into his home, one of whom slipped at the door, and the skin on his forehead seemed peeled away, combined with that ferocious expression, it was particularly frightening.

He started to remember; it wasn’t his own mischief leaving home to find his grandfather.

Someone had taken him away.

”So it was you!”

Wang Jianjun’s eyes were full of shock, the person from back then was still alive, and so much time had passed that no one remembered what he had done.

The villagers’ impression was only of the current lonely elder Fifteenth Wang, who had stayed in the village his entire life, living in government-subsidized housing, receiving a monthly allowance, and healthcare without costs.

Wang Jianjun recognized the shotgun; he remembered seeing it before.

Unexpectedly, Fifteenth Wang sawed off the shotgun’s barrel and still kept that shotgun.

”Stop talking nonsense, I’ve waited fifty years, almost couldn’t hold on any longer, finally got the chance.

Keep moving forward, keep digging, if you dare to stop, if you dare slow down, your wife’s life will be taken first.”

Fifteenth Wang pulled the hammer back, ready to fire at any moment.

”You...”

”Try saying one more word of nonsense!” Fifteenth Wang snarled, directly aiming the barrel at Wang Jianjun’s wife’s back.

Wang Jianjun dared not say anything more, immediately turned around, and continued moving forward.

He struggled through the viscous resistance, moving forward step by step with difficulty.

Behind him, Fifteenth Wang kept goading him to speed up.

Wang Jianjun didn’t dare to stop; Fifteenth Wang fired a blank to show the old shotgun was real, now keeping it ready to fire, Wang Jianjun dared not provoke Fifteenth Wang, who knew if it might accidentally discharge.

As he gritted his teeth and sneaked, nearing the huge cave ahead, only a few steps away.

On the other side, Old Master Wang’s Nuo Dance also reached its final stage.

In Wen Yan’s eyes, countless chains flew out, piercing into the cave’s stone walls, chains continued to retract, pulling the stone walls towards the center, and the huge cave kept shrinking.

As the cave shrunk to only thirty or forty meters wide, on one side of the stone wall, dirt and stone began to fall down, and a bloody hand emerged from inside the stone wall.

Wang Jianjun was covered in blood, the obstacles in front instantly dissipated, he stumbled and desperately fell to the ground.

The stone wall cracked open.

Wang Jianjun, covered in blood, struggled to look back at his wife lying on the ground, while Fifteenth Wang held the old shotgun and no longer paid any attention to Wang Jianjun’s wife.

He saw Old Master Wang in a feather robe inside, saw young Wang Jianjun, even saw his younger self fallen on the ground.

He laughed crazily, as if long-coveted wishes were finally validated.

”Succeeded, succeeded, finally broke through...”

He waved his arms and legs, stepping forward, seeing Wang Jianjun, covered in blood and exhausted on the ground, he grasped the old shotgun with a hint of ferocity in his eyes.

”Just like your grandfather, you can dance the God Dance.

You can open this passage, so you can close it later.

Don’t blame me for being ruthless, leaving you is just trouble for myself.

If it weren’t for hoping one day you would open it, I would have strangled you here back then!

Now that I’ve let you meet your grandfather, you should be content.”

Fifteenth Wang raised the old shotgun, aiming it at Wang Jianjun’s head, without hesitation, about to pull the trigger.

At this moment, behind Fifteenth Wang, Wang Jianjun’s wife, covered in grime, grit her teeth, and screamed as she lunged at Fifteenth Wang.

In the moment Fifteenth Wang turned his head, from twenty meters away, a gray cloth turned into a javelin, blessed with Yang Energy by Wen Yan, was thrown, and combined with the gray cloth’s own speed, rapidly crossed the distance.

And when Wang Jianjun’s wife hugged Fifteenth Wang’s leg, about to drag him down, with a heavy heart, he ignored Wang Jianjun’s wife, aimed the gun at Wang Jianjun’s head, and pulled the trigger.

The instant the bullet was triggered, the ends of the gray cloth also arrived, spinning and burrowing into the gun barrel, blocking it.

Bang!

The gun exploded.

Decades-old shotgun couldn’t withstand this, the rear of the barrel shattered, firing shrapnel, one piece blinding one of Fifteenth Wang’s eyes instantly.

The exploding shotgun sent the obstructing gray cloth flying back.

The deafening sound echoed here, but the next moment, Fifteenth Wang gritted his teeth, using his other hand to draw a machete, hacked into Wang Jianjun’s back, the sharp machete tip piercing into Wang Jianjun’s back.

Having done this, Fifteenth Wang raised his head, blood streaming from his remaining eye, that sinister expression, gray-white hair, making him look like an Evil Ghost.
