The Darling of Heaven Owns a Rip-off Shop

”Don’t worry, your mother has been tense for too long. She relaxed suddenly, so she fainted. Let her rest well.” Tianmiao gently comforted Yuanyuan.

”Mother has worked too hard,” Yuanyuan said with heartache, ”If it weren’t for me, Mother wouldn’t have had to work so hard. She could have abandoned me, but she didn’t.” Yuanyuan hung his head, sniffing.

”Yuanyuan is so adorable, of course your mother wouldn’t bear to abandon you. Come, eat something first. You’re so thin, not matching your name at all.” Tianmiao said with a smiling face.

...

When Su Yu woke up, she saw her son sitting in front of a small low table, which was filled with all kinds of food. They were all her son’s favorites: wontons, tofu pudding, rice noodles, soup buns, shumai. He was eating happily.

Where is that adult?

Su Yu quickly turned her head and saw that the adult was also eating.

But the adult was eating meat, fragrant meat.

”You’re awake?” Tianmiao smiled, ”Would you like to join us for a bite? Even though you’re already fasting, enjoying some tasty food isn’t bad. These are all foods full of Spiritual Energy and won’t leave impurities in your body.”

”Mother!” Seeing his mother awake, Yuanyuan put down the bowl and chopsticks in his hand and happily threw himself into Su Yu’s arms.

”Good boy.” Su Yu hugged Yuanyuan, feeling secure and at ease for the first time.

”Mom, sister said that from now on, we won’t have to struggle to escape anymore. No one can hurt us anymore. Sister also said that if we want, we can go home with her.” Yuanyuan wrapped his arms around Su Yu’s neck, speaking joyfully.

Su Yu looked at Tianmiao in astonishment. Was what Yuanyuan said true? Could they go to the Heavenly Dao Sect together?

Tianmiao nodded: ”The Heavenly Dao Sect has just been established and is short-handed. Many trivial things need someone to handle, and those coming to the Heavenly Dao Sect for help also need someone to receive them. Would you like to come back with me?”

”I would, I would!” Su Yu nodded eagerly, speaking hastily.

”Then let’s eat first. Yuanyuan needs to eat more too; he needs to live up to his name.” Tianmiao smiled gently.

”Yes, yes, thank you, sir...” Su Yu’s tears fell again as she spoke. After so long on the run, always tense, she hadn’t slept a restful sleep for ages, waking up from nightmares often. Dreams where her dear Yuanyuan was dismembered, dreams of blood everywhere. Now, these worrying things would never happen again.

”Mom, don’t cry, don’t cry.” Yuanyuan reached out his little hand to wipe Su Yu’s tears.

Su Yu wiped her face clean and, like Yuanyuan, sat at the low table, beginning to eat with him.

”Eat some meat as well.” Tianmiao placed several plates of meat in front of the mother and son, ”Yuanyuan has already filled up with a lot of noodles, he can eat some meat now.”

”Thank you, sir.” Su Yu said gratefully. Watching Yuanyuan eat heartily, she felt a warm and sour sensation inside. How long had it been since the child ate a meal peacefully? Always on the run, let alone eating or sleeping peacefully, it was good enough to keep their lives.

Right! By the time, that person should be catching up.

Just as Su Yu thought of this, she heard familiar footsteps coming from not far away, sending her heart trembling.

He’s coming!

Su Yu, in a panic, instinctively wanted to stand up and run away with Yuanyuan in her arms.
