The Darling of Heaven Owns a Rip-off Shop

Prince Kang felt for the first time that Concubine Qin’s boldness was rather unpleasing.

He said with a headache, ”Alright, let’s go.”

Concubine Qin angrily said, ”You don’t defend me, I will vent my anger myself!” She stepped forward, raised her hand, ready to slap Chun Lan, who was standing closest. This discarded woman still held the title of Princess, she was difficult to move against, so couldn’t she even punish a servant?

Prince Kang turned around in shock, knowing trouble was brewing. He knew Concubine Qin had limited vision and insight, failing to understand the entanglements between noble families. She believed gaining his favor allowed her to do as she pleased in the Prince Mansion, a notion he indulged. Nevertheless, he never imagined Concubine Qin would dare lay hands on someone next to the Princess in front of both him and the Princess.

The next moment, Concubine Qin was sent flying.

It was the Princess who kicked her.

At this moment, regret filled Prince Kang’s heart; he ought to have taught Concubine Qin a few truths earlier. As a concubine, she outranked the servants in the mansion significantly. Punishing the Princess’s servants was not impossible, but certainly not in front of the Princess. This completely disregarded the Princess. Prince Kang finally truly understood the differences in vision and hierarchy. Could he blame Concubine Qin? Perhaps not. The fault lay in not having someone explain these rules and considerations to her sooner.

Tianmiao retracted her foot, glanced at Prince Kang casually, and said, ”Keep your dog in check—next time they come and make trouble here, it won’t just be a kick.”

While Prince Kang was praised by many in the capital as both talented in civil and military arts, few realized that the eldest daughter of the Wei Family was the true master of both.

”You...” Prince Kang looked at the contempt in the Princess’s eyes, listening to the affront in her words, yet unable to think of a retort.

”Leave,” Tianmiao said indifferently.

Prince Kang gave the Princess a deep look, then silently left, cradling the unconscious Concubine Qin.

The servants followed behind, silent as the grave, not daring to make a sound.

Once they had gone, Tianmiao instructed, ”Alright, tidy things up, keep a closer watch in the future, don’t let anyone in.”

After Tianmiao spoke, there was no immediate reaction around her. She paused, turning to see the maids staring at her, eyes shining with admiration, yet still not recovered from the scene.

”Miss is mighty.” Chun Lan was the first to snap back to reality but addressed her by her pre-marital title.

”Miss!” The other maids eventually came to their senses, excitedly praising the Princess.

”Miss, that Concubine Qin, is it just me or does she seem a bit lacking in brainpower?” Xia He queried after everyone calmed down, puzzled. ”Doesn’t she understand? She’s a concubine while you are the Princess. No matter how favored she is, she should still salute you when she sees you. How could she think being favored allows her to rise above you?”

Qiu Ju remarked disdainfully, ”It’s not a lack of brains, it’s because she’s from a small, insignificant family, not fit for the stage. Truly thinks that Prince’s affection makes her the mistress of the mansion? Didn’t she curse the Housekeeper as a dog servant last time?”

”In short, don’t let her in again,” Tianmiao couldn’t be bothered to delve into why.

Kong Hou and Dong Xiao sat inside the Everything Has a Store, watching the scene unfold in the Heavenly Mechanism Mirror.

”Wow, even as a mortal, the master is still so commanding. Is this what mansion intrigue is like? Seems different from the mansion intrigue novel I read last time. But Prince Kang must be mindless to fall for such a fool as Concubine Qin,” Kong Hou tsked, ”She’s just a dim-witted woman traversing from a minor world as a habitual third wheel.”
