The Darling of Heaven Owns a Rip-off Shop

Prince Kang was initially furious and planned to find the Princess, but upon reaching that wall beneath the Prince Mansion, staring at the wall standing in the center of the mansion, he fell into silence.

He stood at the corner of the wall, recalling too many memories.

The first time he saw the Princess, both were seven years old. It was at the Prime Minister’s Mansion, where his royal brother took him.

”This little sister is very well-behaved, we must protect her and cherish her,” his royal brother pointed at a young girl learning to ride a horse and said.

”Who is she?”

”She is the granddaughter of Prime Minister Wei. Very smart, very cute, you’ll like her,” his royal brother said.

Later, the young girl grew into a graceful lady.

In the Capital City, there were many talented men admiring her.

In the end, he was so fortunate to marry her.

When they first married, he and the Princess were harmonious and deeply affectionate.

He would rise early every day to attend court, while the Princess enjoyed sleeping in, but she would still get up to join him for breakfast, see him out the door, then return to sleep again. After court, he would buy things for the Princess, sometimes jewelry, sometimes food. After receiving them, the Princess’s eyes would light up, she would gently hold his hand and also give him gifts, ones made by herself, sometimes a sachet embroidered by the Princess, sometimes a painting made by her.

The Princess was very talented, also good in martial arts. But the Princess had one flaw — she wasn’t skilled in needlework. Receiving the first sachet embroidered by the Princess, it featured a fat duck, but the Princess said it was a goose. He still knew the difference between a goose and an overfed duck, right?

Thinking of this, a smile appeared on Prince Kang’s face. Those days were truly joyful.

But when did it become this current situation?

Living in the same mansion, yet like familiar strangers.

Prince Kang’s smile slowly faded.

This situation now, it’s all his doing.

Can he and the Princess return to the past?

Prince Kang eventually opened the door and found the Princess feeding koi by the pond.

A group of chubby koi opened their mouths wide, scrambling to eat the bait the Princess scattered.

These koi seem to be much fatter than before.

”Princess,” Prince Kang called.

”Prince, would you like to feed the koi together?” The Princess seemed in a good mood, smiling as she asked.

In silence, Prince Kang walked to Tianmiao’s side, grabbed a handful of bait and scattered it. The koi opened their mouths wide and fought for it.

”I don’t like the Emperor, never have. I can’t refuse the things he gifts. I’ve never intended anything with the Emperor. When you enter the palace, make it clear to the Emperor, ask him to stop sending gifts. As a woman from the Wei Family, I do not wish to leave a reputation in history as a wicked enchantress,” the Princess’s voice suddenly rang in Prince Kang’s ear.

Prince Kang was taken aback, swiftly turning his head to look at the Princess.

The Princess’s expression was calm, she turned her head to face Prince Kang: ”I know you came to ask about this.”

Prince Kang opened his mouth, with countless words in his heart wanting to be said, but in the end, they turned into a single sentence: ”Then, does the Princess like me?”

”I used to.” The Princess smiled slightly, then turned her face away, looking at the water, continuing to scatter bait.

Prince Kang’s heart, at that moment, felt a sting, more pain than anything.

”I have something to do, I’m leaving.” Lowering his head, Prince Kang said this with a heavy voice, then quickly left.

The Princess said nothing, she merely watched him leave and continued feeding the koi.
