The Darling of Heaven Owns a Rip-off Shop

Prince Kang touched the scar on his face, looked at the blood on his fingers, and with a gloomy expression, he looked at the hysterical Concubine Qin and slowly said, ”Take her away, lock her up.”

”You scumbag, you heartless man! You actually hit me! How did you promise me before we got married?” Concubine Qin’s face was twisted and she continued to shout and scream.

”Quick, gag her mouth!” The housekeeper looked at Prince Kang’s increasingly ugly expression and hurriedly instructed someone to gag Concubine Qin’s mouth. His heart was already in turmoil. Does this Concubine Qin know whom she’s talking to? Does she understand the consequences of saying these things? Where did she get the courage to insult the prince like this?

Concubine Qin was quickly taken away.

Prince Kang sat down with a defeated expression, and the housekeeper quickly called for the Imperial Physician. If a scar remained on Prince Kang’s face, it would be a disaster.

Prince Kang sat there dazedly, the Imperial Physician applied medicine and bowed before leaving, but he didn’t respond.

After a long time, he murmured, ”Housekeeper, tell me, has my treatment of the Concubine been bad?”

”Prince has naturally been good to the Concubine. You give her the best of everything and even arrange for her to be taught etiquette. It’s the Concubine herself who doesn’t understand the Prince’s kindness,” the housekeeper had never seen Prince Kang look so lost and hurriedly spoke to comfort him.

”But, what did I get in return?” Prince Kang asked slowly.

The housekeeper dared not respond.

Respond with what?

Respond by saying, not only did you get the Concubine’s verbal humiliation, but she even scratched you.

If he answered that way, he feared he might immediately and peacefully pass on!

At this moment, speaking the truth was out of the question.

He hadn’t lived enough yet.

”Leave.” Prince Kang tiredly waved his hand, signaling the housekeeper to leave. He just wanted to be alone for a while. To think carefully about why things had turned out this way.

...

In the Imperial Palace.

Aunt Zhang had just reported to the Emperor about the events at the Prince Kang Mansion, and immediately someone else came to report.

Aunt Zhang prepared to withdraw, but upon seeing the person entering clearly, she was startled. Wasn’t this person one of Concubine Qin’s close maidservants? Why was she here?

”...The matter has been taken care of... The Concubine has been locked up...”

The faint voice of the maidservant came from behind, and Aunt Zhang, hearing these words, felt a chill of terror upon deeper thought.

Concubine Qin has been locked up? The matter has been handled?

Did the Emperor secretly send someone to act?

Aunt Zhang limped out, although horrified inside, she kept a calm exterior. Matters of the royal family, even if known, must remain undisclosed to live longer.

...

”Concubine Qin scratched Prince Kang, and Prince Kang’s face was injured. This servant is guilty.” The maidservant reported. Concubine Qin, during that altercation with Prince Kang, behaved so hysterically not just because of her rebellious thoughts and actions but also due to the powder she secretly administered. When the powder’s scent was inhaled during one of Concubine Qin’s emotional outbursts, it made her lose further control of herself. Although the plan proceeded smoothly, it unfortunately led to injury to Prince Kang’s face.

As the maidservant knelt on the ground at this moment to report, she was anxious and fearful, wondering how the Emperor would punish her.

”You did well, go claim your reward. Your indenture will also be returned to you.” To her surprise, an approving voice from the Emperor came overhead.

The maidservant felt overwhelming joy, bowed her head in gratitude, and retreated.

After everyone had left, the Emperor stood up, walked to the window, looked into the distance, with a smile on his face, and mused to himself, ”When Miaomiao’s memories return, and she realizes that I helped her complete this task, will she praise me?”

(No, she’d punch you, because if discovered, this wouldn’t count towards her achievements. Additionally: that’s it for today, see you tomorrow, requesting monthly votes again, love you all.)
