The Darling of Heaven Owns a Rip-off Shop

”He only said that things are progressing faster and the situation is worse than he expected. It seems he went to discuss countermeasures with the Jade Emperor, and he advised us not to go up to the Heavenly Court during this time but to stay in the Mortal World.” Xu Xian frowned and said, ”I thought something was wrong, so I came to inform Uncle.”

”Maybe he thinks our combat power is too weak, and even if we’re up there, we can’t help much.” Bai Suzhen said coolly, ”In a situation that can make the Tathagata act as if facing a great enemy, we really can’t be much help.”

”Too weak?” True Monarch Hanshan glanced at Xu Xian, ”Is this another one of Xu Xian’s terms? But it is quite descriptive.”

”Do you want to go down to the Mortal World to hide? From what the Tathagata said, the Heavenly Court will be the first hit if any changes occur.” Bai Suzhen asked.

”No.” True Monarch Hanshan shook his head.

”I told you earlier, he’s as stubborn as an iron head, yet you didn’t believe me.” Bai Suzhen turned her head to Xu Xian after hearing True Monarch Hanshan’s refusal and said irritably.

Xu Xian pressed his lips and smiled, ”You two are very similar, aren’t you?”

Bai Suzhen twitched the corner of her mouth, then said to True Monarch Hanshan, ”We’ll stay at your Cold Mountain Palace for now. You won’t be unwelcome, right?” She knew her uncle was very stubborn and wouldn’t go down to the Mortal World. She and Xu Xian would stay, so they could lend a hand if anything happened.

”You two aren’t going down to the Mortal World to hide?” True Monarch Hanshan asked.

”Uncle, did you forget what I just said?” Xu Xian teased.

True Monarch Hanshan was taken aback.

”She’s stubborn too.” Xu Xian pointed at Bai Suzhen and said with a smile.

True Monarch Hanshan couldn’t help but laugh as well.

Indeed, they are both equally stubborn, once they’ve made up their minds, no one can change it.

So Bai Suzhen and Xu Xian stayed at Cold Mountain Palace.

Days passed one by one, nothing happened, and it was peaceful.

One morning, Xu Xian was squatting in Cold Mountain Palace’s garden looking at a newly blooming flower when she saw Tianmiao returning from outside.

”Little Tianmiao.” Xu Xian waved at Tianmiao, and even though Tianmiao had grown up, Xu Xian still habitually called her Little Tianmiao.

”Sister Xu Xian.” Tianmiao walked over, holding an oiled paper package, and handed it to Xu Xian, ”Want to eat together? They’re vegetarian buns sent by the Howling Celestial Dog.”

”Howling Celestial Dog is so kind.” Xu Xian stood up with delight, ”Can we eat together?”

”Of course we can.” Tianmiao smiled, ”Actually, there are a few bowls of tofu brain hidden in my Space Fragrance Pouch too. Let’s eat together!”

”Sure, sure.” Xu Xian happily stood up and went inside to eat with Tianmiao.

Bai Suzhen and True Monarch Hanshan stood under the eaves, watching the two enter. True Monarch Hanshan suddenly said, ”Xu Xian is pregnant.”

”Yes, it’s a daughter.” A gentle smile appeared on Bai Suzhen’s usually cold face, ”But she doesn’t know yet.”

”Then why are you still here? You should listen to the Tathagata and avoid going to the Mortal World.” True Monarch Hanshan said with a frown of concern.

”The Tathagata didn’t actually tell the truth.” Bai Suzhen paused, then slowly said, ”The Tathagata said that the great disaster is coming, and going to the Mortal World can only avoid it temporarily, ultimately facing destruction. Coming to the Heavenly Court, although it’s the first to bear the brunt, there is a slim chance of survival. But he doesn’t know where this slim chance comes from either.”

”Facing destruction? The great disaster is coming?” True Monarch Hanshan’s expression finally changed. For Tathagata to say a great disaster is coming, what kind of terrifying calamity could it be?

Destroy heaven and earth!

An apocalyptic catastrophe?!
