The Darling of Heaven Owns a Rip-off Shop

The South Pole Immortal paused with his wine cup in hand, then turned his head towards Tianmiao and smiled at her.

Tianmiao also smiled back at him and waved.

Yi Lan was surprised, the South Pole Immortal really sensed it! But since the junior sister praised him, it should be fine, right?

...

After the Flat Peach Banquet ended, True Monarch Hanshan returned to the palace and brought back a Flat Peach for Tianmiao. The Flat Peach Banquet is held every year on the third day of the third month. True Monarch Hanshan had already tasted the Flat Peach long ago. Previously he would bring the Peach back for Yi Lan, but this year he brought it for Tianmiao.

But besides the Flat Peach, there was also a bottle of wine.

”Master? I find it normal for you to bring a Flat Peach for the little junior sister, but she’s so young, why did you bring her wine?” Yi Lan looked reproachfully at True Monarch Hanshan.

”Hahaha, I didn’t bring it, it was a gift from the South Pole Immortal to your little junior sister,” True Monarch Hanshan said with a smile. ”It’s wine brewed by the South Pole Immortal himself. He usually can’t bear to drink it himself, so why is he being so generous today by gifting a bottle to little Tianmiao? What have you done behind my back?”

Only then did Yi Lan suddenly realize, and then he widened his eyes: ”Is this for real? I remember, Master, you said the South Pole Immortal’s wine is full of Spiritual Energy, beneficial for Cultivation, and he gave a bottle to junior sister just because she praised his good-looking head. If I had known, I’d have praised him too, praising until flowers bloomed.”

”So that’s how it is,” True Monarch Hanshan said with a helpless smile. ”You... little Tianmiao’s praise was sincere, but you? You’re not, so don’t get any crooked ideas.”

”I know, I’m just saying.” Yi Lan took the bottle of wine, looked at the emerald green bottle, and clicked his tongue in amazement, ”I suppose this bottle is no ordinary item either?”

”That’s right, this wine bottle was crafted by the South Pole Immortal himself. It can hold water, tea, or wine, and no matter how long, it won’t spoil.”

”Impressive! The South Pole Immortal is truly generous.” Yi Lan handed the bottle to Tianmiao, ”Little junior sister, put it in your sachet, drink it when you grow older, you’re too young to drink alcohol now.”

”Got it.” Tianmiao nodded. After putting away the bottle, she suddenly frowned as she remembered something, ”Oh no, Master.”

”What’s wrong?” True Monarch Hanshan rarely saw his little apprentice with such an expression and immediately asked in concern.

”So many people have given me gifts, what should I give in return? I seem to have nothing at the moment. When will I be able to gift you all something?” Tianmiao said, quite troubled.

True Monarch Hanshan and Yi Lan exchanged a glance and both laughed.

”Wait until you grow up, when you’ve matured, I’ll apply for you to go out and experience the world. Then, you’ll be able to find treasures destined for you,” True Monarch Hanshan said, gratified and once again marveling at how sensible this child was. ”Once you have many treasures, you can gift them to others.”

”Junior sister should also practice Cultivation diligently. Once you learn how to craft, you can make some good items as gifts,” Yi Lan encouraged from the side as well.

”Alright!” Tianmiao raised her chubby little hand, made a fist, and struck it against the palm of her other hand, solemnly resolving to train hard.

...

In the days that followed, Tianmiao stayed indoors and began to train diligently.

The Howling Celestial Dog was waiting for the little radish to come play with him, but since she didn’t show up, he had no choice but to pester the Erlang God to bring him to Cold Mountain Palace to find the little radish.

The Jade Rabbit, also waiting for Tianmiao to play with her, couldn’t hold back any longer and left Guanghan Palace, heading to Cold Mountain Palace to find her little radish.
