The Darling of Heaven Owns a Rip-off Shop

”Got it, we’ll be careful.” Yi Lan nodded.

”Mm.” Tianmiao also nodded.

”Little Carrot, you better look out for your senior sister. She’s such a fool. I don’t trust a word when she says she’ll be careful. You’re more reliable.” The Moon Rabbit stuffed a pastry into her mouth and solemnly said to Tianmiao.

Tianmiao couldn’t help but laugh.

”Hey, what do you mean by that?” Yi Lan glared, protesting indignantly.

”I mean it literally. You’re just so stupid, easily tricked to go outside, and listened to Bai He Immortal’s nonsense. When you saw him, you should have slapped him twice, yelled for help, and called everyone to catch the scoundrel. Look at you, not only did you listen to his nonsense, but you also let his filthy paws rest on your shoulder. That’s why the Heavenly Soldiers saw and misunderstood.” The Moon Rabbit snorted, once more looking down on Yi Lan.

Yi Lan was dumbfounded, speechless.

”That makes a lot of sense. If only my senior sister had half the guts of Sister Moon Rabbit.” Tianmiao chimed in.

Yi Lan looked at Tianmiao with a pitiful expression, ”Little sister, are you also despising me?”

”I’m not despising you. But next time you encounter a situation like this, you’ll know what to do, right?” Tianmiao said with a smile.

”Got it.” Yi Lan nodded.

”What’s wrong with me looking down on you? You better be more aware. But, this foolish and silly you is exactly what makes you Yi Lan. I just like you this way, I can’t let go of you like this.” The Moon Rabbit reached out, pinched Yi Lan’s cheeks on both sides, and tugged at them.

”Let go... I know I was wrong...” Yi Lan struggled, reaching out to pull the Moon Rabbit’s cheeks in return.

”You’re rebelling!” The Moon Rabbit exclaimed, seeing Yi Lan fight back.

Tianmiao watched their interaction and couldn’t help but smile.

...

In the following days, Cold Mountain Palace became much livelier than before.

Various celestial beings found excuses to visit True Monarch Hanshan, but in reality, they came to Cold Mountain Palace to see Tianmiao. Some lesser immortals pretended to pass by Cold Mountain Palace, craning their necks to peek inside, hoping to catch a glimpse of Tianmiao, the number one beauty of the Heavenly Court, admired by both the Queen Mother and the Jade Emperor. How beautiful could she possibly be?

”It’s really lively here.” On this day, Bai Suzhen and Xu Xian visited, and Bai Suzhen remarked upon entering and speaking to True Monarch Hanshan.

”I can’t help it; everyone loves beautiful things.” True Monarch Hanshan said with a helpless smile, aware of his young disciple’s resounding fame in the Heavenly Court now.

”Little Tianmiao has grown up. I heard she performed outstandingly when she saved her uncle’s senior disciple that day.” Xu Xian said with a happy smile as he sat down.

”Yes, little Tianmiao has grown up. Her performance that day really surprised me—no, it was truly a delight. I didn’t expect things to be resolved so easily.” True Monarch Hanshan couldn’t help but praise his young disciple. ”I’m not sure if my disciple is the number one beauty of the Heavenly Court, but I think she’s definitely the smartest.”

”Alright, I didn’t come here to see you grinning so much that your eyes disappear.” Bai Suzhen said with a hint of disdain.

”Oh? Then why did you come here to see me?” True Monarch Hanshan asked.

”The Tathagata came to the Heavenly Court to see the Jade Emperor.” Xu Xian said at this point.

”He seldom comes to the Heavenly Court. Has another cosmic event occurred?” True Monarch Hanshan’s expression grew serious. Last time, it was due to a cosmic anomaly that he urgently summoned Tianmiao back. What has happened this time?
