The Darling of Heaven Owns a Rip-off Shop

Chapter 473: Chapter 36: Sunflower Facing the Apocalypse

”Didn’t you say it would just be the four of us?” Zhou Shiqiu asked.

”Yes. He will do his best to delay the zombies to buy us time for the rescue. The roads in the city are already blocked, so we can only proceed on foot.” Masashi’s expression was a bit grim, ”We have no choice, and sometimes, we can only make such sacrifices when necessary.”

Xu Yuxi and the others understood that this young man was just bait, and he might sacrifice his life. No, not might, he definitely will. Because this man is just an ordinary person, not a superpower user.

”This is too inhumane.” Zhou Shiqiu couldn’t help but say.

”Miss Zhou, our country... is really different from yours. Our land is small, so we make the most of every inch of space. Our population density is too high, and when the virus outbreak happened, many people were bitten before they could even react and then mutated. Many people had nowhere to escape.” Masashi sighed, ”Now, healthy humans are our greatest asset. And in this building are elites from various industries. Using one person to exchange for two or three hundred is a worthy sacrifice.”

The three of Xu Yuxi felt extremely heavy-hearted after hearing this.

”Wait, maybe we don’t have to do this.” Zhang Qiang suddenly said, ”It’s just about making noise to lure the zombies away. I have a way.”

”You have a way?” Masashi’s eyes lit up.

”Yeah. I remember there’s a big electronics market around here.” Zhang Qiang turned to look at Masashi, ”Do you have a laptop?”

”Yes, yes.” Masashi, overjoyed, went to the car and brought back two laptops.

”Bring them. Let’s go.” Zhang Qiang looked confident.

...

”After all this time, your power system is still operational. Impressive.” Zhou Shiqiu exclaimed in amazement, seeing the elevator still working properly. The zombies roaming in the lobby had already been cleared by them.

”Every country has its strengths. Learning from each other’s strengths makes us stronger. Actually, we admire your country too, with its vast lands and resources. Your speed and method of dealing with the virus this time have made us envious. Our country became like this largely because of the dense population. But O country, we can’t understand, they didn’t take this virus seriously from the start, so they ended up losing control completely.” Masashi said sincerely.

”Has Zhang Qiang finished yet?” Masashi asked.

”Basically, it’s no problem. First, get everyone down here. Shiqiu and I will clear out the incoming zombies to ensure their safety. With two to three hundred people, these elevators will have to go up and down many times. As long as the elevators aren’t opened midway, it should be fine,” Xu Yuxi said.

”I can assure you they won’t press the floor buttons randomly, please be kind to assist them here.” Masashi said gratefully. The next steps weren’t too difficult. The hardest part was safely getting these two to three hundred people out of the city. With so many living people, the zombies would quickly catch on.

As the elevator operated up and down, soon, over two hundred people stood silently in the lobby. Although everyone was pale and haggard, not a single sound was made; they stood quietly, awaiting Masashi’s next instructions. Hope glimmered in everyone’s eyes, the hope of survival.

”You can start now.” Xu Yuxi said to Zhang Qiang over the walkie-talkie.

”OK.” Zhang Qiang’s voice came through the walkie-talkie.
