The Darling of Heaven Owns a Rip-off Shop

Chapter 465: Chapter 28: Sunflower Facing the Apocalypse

Xu Yuxi gladly agreed. So on the way to the safe haven, two more private cars followed behind them. In one sedan sat a family of three, a young couple with a three-year-old girl. In the other SUV were seven people, the young couple with a child, along with the child’s grandparents and maternal grandparents.

Xu Yuxi was somewhat surprised that all seven people in the family were safe and sound in such chaotic times. Seeing how cramped their car was, Xu Yuxi even invited them to have two people ride in their car, but they firmly refused, not wanting to trouble Xu Yuxi and feeling most secure staying together as a family. They also forced a box of instant noodles and a bottle of water on Xu Yuxi to thank her for taking them to the safe haven.

Xu Yuxi suddenly understood how they managed to arrive at the camp without losing anyone.

The journey from the camp to the safe haven went smoothly, occasionally encountering a few zombies blocking the road, which Xu Yuxi and her group easily cleared. The men in the two cars behind asked if they needed help, but Xu Yuxi gestured that it wasn’t necessary.

Upon arriving at the safe haven, without exception, everyone had to undergo a physical examination. There was also a two-day quarantine to ensure no one was infected before they could enter the haven.

While registering information, Xu Yuxi and Zhou Shiqiu were both superpower users, and Zhang Qiang hesitantly ticked the box for superpower users, writing ”Spiritual Ability” next to it.

Xu Yuxi was stunned, eyes wide as she looked at him, ”Didn’t you say you hadn’t tried it?”

”Shh, this useless superpower, I feel embarrassed even mentioning it. So I pretended I didn’t have one. This superpower is useless.” Zhang Qiang sighed, looking quite dejected.

”No, I believe it must be useful. You just haven’t figured out how to use it yet.” Xu Yuxi comforted him, deciding to ask Little Green about the use of this superpower when she got the chance.

”I hope so.” Zhang Qiang sighed.

The two-day quarantine quickly passed, and everything was normal for Xu Yuxi and her group. Because they were superpower users, their accommodations were different from ordinary people. They were each given a one-bedroom apartment.

The safe haven was expanded from a county town and was still being expanded. The outer walls were built high, with a perimeter of thick wire fencing outside. Inside the base, everyone had their duties. Electricity and water were supplied at scheduled times, only available for an hour each morning and evening, clearly showing there is still some way to go to return to normal levels, but it was vastly improved.

Xu Yuxi and her group followed the staff member leading them to their apartment. The staff warmly introduced them, ”The base hasn’t been established long, and everything is just getting on track. We welcome superpower users like you to join. You’ve agreed to the previous agreement, so I’ll give you an overview again. If you don’t understand anything, just ask me. Superpower users get twice as much electricity supply time as ordinary residents and twice the water usage. But your responsibilities are greater. You regularly need to go out to clear zombies, gather resources, and rescue trapped residents. Of course, completing some tasks will also earn extra rewards.”

”That’s the way it should be, we’ll obey the schedule and give our all.” Xu Yuxi responded.

”As superpower users, having this mindset and awareness is truly great. Thank you,” the staff member paused, turned to look at Xu Yuxi, and smiled, clearly pleased from the heart, ”Many of us have just one thought, to unite and rebuild our homes, restore civilization. Everyone is working towards it. It’s just a few people who see this as an opportunity to climb some kind of peak...” He slightly frowned at the end.

”Opportunity?” Xu Yuxi asked, puzzled.

Zhou Shiqiu looked ahead, slightly surprised, as she saw a familiar face, Senior Chen. However, by his side were two beautiful women, each wrapping an arm around him.
