Reborn and Counterattack: The CEO's Powerful Sweetheart

Chapter 1448: Chapter 1447: Such Great Connections

On the other side.

In the teachers’ office, Ding Sidan’s face had gone completely dark. She sat at her desk pretending to be calm, grading the Internal Medicine class papers.

That morning, she’d already reported to the Dean that Gu Tong had started a shooting course without authorization. She’d thought the Dean would step in to stop it and give Teacher Gu Tong a lesson she’d never forget. Who would’ve thought things would go the opposite way: the Dean didn’t reprimand Gu Tong and even stayed in her class to observe.

That’s some serious prestige!

Usually when the Dean comes to observe a class, the teachers prepare for days in advance, terrified that anything might go wrong during the lesson. And it’s hard enough to get him to come even once—he doesn’t grace every class with his presence.

The Dean had come to the Internal Medicine class to observe a few times, and Ding Sidan had been proud of it, bragging everywhere. But now... the Dean had already gone to observe the Elective Class twice. The whole thing was the talk of the town; everyone in the Academy knew about it.

The Dean clearly knows that Teacher Gu Tong and she don’t get along. Isn’t this deliberately making her look bad?

Some people’s hearts just grow crooked; no matter how they struggle, they can’t straighten out. They only twist things more and more in their heads until they make themselves miserable and everyone around them uncomfortable.

Ding Sidan was obviously that kind of person. She couldn’t stand Gu Tong and wanted to drag everyone into disliking her too. If anyone treated Gu Tong well or went to listen to Gu Tong’s classes, Ding Sidan would assume they were doing it to oppose her.

...

All kinds of looks in the office were focused on Ding Sidan; they all had that watching-a-show expression.

The main thing was that this Teacher Ding Sidan was usually way too arrogant, looking down on everyone and putting no one in her eyes. A lot of new teachers inevitably got bullied by her; things like hogging classroom time or fighting over students happened constantly.

All of this was infighting among the teachers. With Ding Sidan’s seniority, they couldn’t really say anything. They could only stare helplessly and stew in silence.

But now it was different. Ding Sidan had clearly met her nemesis, and the other party was extremely hard to deal with. After several clashes in a row, she’d taken heavy losses. How could they possibly miss a spectacle like this?

As Ding Sidan graded papers, she was already grinding her teeth. It wasn’t hard for her to guess what these teachers were plotting, but she had no way to vent. She could only force herself to swallow it down and think about getting back at them later.

Putting on a show of composure, Ding Sidan gathered up the papers, glanced at her watch, then pretended she had something urgent to do and walked out of the office.

The moment the door shut.

”Pfft.” Someone actually laughed out loud.

”And here I thought she was so capable. Turns out she still tripped over Teacher Gu Tong. She bullies the weak and fears the strong—she only dares push us around because we have good tempers and don’t stoop to her level.”

”Exactly. Just a couple of days ago she deliberately hogged the room and lectured for more than half a period extra. I didn’t get to finish my class content, and then the students’ exam results were poor. The director called me in to talk and gave me a scolding. When I reported what happened, Teacher Ding Sidan couldn’t care less—instead she said I was incompetent.”

”You should learn from Teacher Gu Tong and stop indulging her. She’s snatched students from her two or three times in a row now, and Ding Sidan’s face is practically sour with rage. It’s a joy to watch. I’m telling you, I’ve checked: this Teacher Gu Tong has strong backing and solid professional skills. Ding Sidan is bound to fall flat on her face because of her. If she doesn’t take a heavy hit, she’ll never learn her lesson!”

Ding Sidan stood just outside the door and hadn’t gone far. She clenched her fists so hard it hurt, itching to tear the mouths off those gossiping shrews inside.
