Reborn and Counterattack: The CEO's Powerful Sweetheart

Chapter 1309: Chapter 1308: Hidden Talents and Concealed Colors

Li Yan’s voice remained steady, saying, ”Currently, Gong Qingwan is in a state of keeping a low profile, except for special engagements within the company, she’s not involved in other matters.”

Perhaps after the ’human trafficking’ incident broke out, Gong Qingwan was afraid of being implicated, and more of her secrets being exposed, which would be a loss. So she compromised by stepping down from her position as general manager of the branch company, choosing to lay low and wait for an appropriate time to act.

This situation is actually welcomed by them, after all, the major task from Grand Cabinet Academy hasn’t arrived yet, and the mission hasn’t fully launched. In such circumstances, directly confronting Gong Qingwan is of no advantage to them.

Qiao Chenyi suddenly remembered something and turned back to ask, ”By the way, I heard from a deputy that your company intends to sell land yesterday?”

Li Yan didn’t seem surprised, calmly saying, ”Yes, they said it’s land from the southern slope of Shoucheng, which was originally used for agricultural trade, now they claim it’s due to a shortage of funds, thus wanting to sell.”

Despite being just a trainee, Li Yan understands a bit about the profits from land sales, so in his view, this plot of land should not be sold under any circumstances.

Moreover, now that he has just joined the Shoucheng company, Gong Qingwan must have already deployed trainees for some time, ready to take action at any moment, so he needs to be more vigilant.

Qiao Chenyi widened his eyes and said, ”Are you sure it’s the Southern Suburb?”

”Yes.” Li Yan was a bit surprised, saying, ”What’s up with the land near the city district in the Southern Suburb?”

Qiao Chenyi coughed and said, ”Do you know how large that plot of land is, or how much it’s worth?”

Li Yan raised an eyebrow and said, ”I’m not sure about the specifics, but if it can change the company’s liquid capital, it should be around a few billion.”

Qiao Chenyi: ”...”

No wonder the Li family’s eldest young master ranks top among the affluent. A casual sale of a land plot from the branch company amounts to billions. If you count the entire wealth of the Li Family, it must be terrifying.

Qiao Chenyi pursed his lips and said, ”If you were talking about somewhere else, I might not know, but the Southern Suburb I do know something about because my aunt’s family lives in the Southern Suburb, close to the city exit, just the opposite of your location near the city district. Her land isn’t as good as your location.

Just recently, while chatting idly with my mom, she mentioned that the land use rights in the Southern Suburb are about to change and might become residential land. The policy has already been issued, and it will reform by early next year. Now, the Southern Suburb is waiting for requisition or preparing relocation funds.”

According to the map, the Southern Suburb is outside Shoucheng. However, Gu Tong knows that in a few years, that place would be designated within Shoucheng’s city district.

Moreover, with the rising housing prices, the Southern Suburb will become extremely valuable, renamed as the third ring zone.

In recent years, Shoucheng’s rapid development and large population, attracting entrepreneurs and college graduates, means housing issues will inevitably need to be addressed. This is the ideal time to hold onto the land and prepare for development.

However, the people at the branch company are asking Li Yan to sell it, which is truly insane.

Li Yan’s hands naturally hung down, he said calmly, ”As for the Southern Suburb land, I don’t intend to sell it at the moment. I also want to wait for next year’s specific policy announcements before considering.”

In business, it’s wise to talk business; this plot of land is, after all, left by the old man, and leaving it there won’t lose money, it can only appreciate. It’s better to plan wisely and use this piece of land smartly.
