47 -47: The Succubus’s Magic Circle_1

Nikita’s pen flowed swiftly over the Law Book, smoothly setting down rules and formulas in the blank spaces.

As for the clamour that broke out in the restaurant, she only spared it a lacklustre glance.

For her, nothing was more important than the spell she was preparing.

Of course, if these young ones became too restless, she wouldn’t mind teaching them a lesson.

“We haven’t lost hope,” Xiao Xiao spoke again, his tone having calmed down.

“Since she didn’t tear us apart immediately, it means we’re not her primary target — this is good news.

Besides, we newly arrived have more protective talismans on us — this is also good news.”

“Considering these two pieces of good news, in my view, complying with this lady’s decision is more conducive to ensuring our safety, compared to a violent struggle.”

In the restaurant, the newcomers murmured their agreement.

“Be careful!” the red-faced boy didn’t retort, but instead, he warned loudly.

“A very wise judgement,” Nikita suddenly appeared beside Zheng Qing, applauding softly behind Xiao Xiao.

The Bologna-bound Law Book flicked pages, floating beside her.

Streams of blood-red light spilled from the pages, pouring down like a waterfall, forming a blood-red hexagram on the ground.

Zheng Qing was so frightened that he almost passed out.

He didn’t notice at all how the witch had come beside him.

The Law Book suddenly appeared before him, nearly hitting his nose.

Zheng Qing could clearly see the spell formulas on the pages, looking like tadpole writings, gurgling out those blood-red rays.

He stumbled back, creating some distance from the witch.

Behind the sofa, Xiao Xiao forcefully turned around, his face expressionless.

However, Zheng Qing noticed his large black-framed glasses were slightly askew.

Monk Shi Yuan forcefully pressed Li Meng’s head behind the sofa, failing to notice Poseidon’s little head popping out from under his arm.

The witch smiled playfully at Xiao Xiao:

“So, Mr.

Wise, please fetch Sister some olive oil from the counter.

As for everyone else…”

She looked at the red-faced boy not far away, her eyes flaring bright red.

As if in an instant, the entire restaurant became a heavy quagmire, everyone’s actions slowed, but each movement clearly reflected in Zheng Qing’s pupils.

Xiao Xiao was stepping towards the counter, his foot lifted but hadn’t touched the ground yet.

Behind the sofa, Poseidon poked his head out, opened his mouth exposing sharp little teeth.

Zheng Qing saw the fluffy hair on the little fellow softly puffing up.

A bit far off, a few girls began to show signs of panic, mouths slightly opened, raising their arm as if to block something.

It was as if time had frozen around them, their raised arms could not even hide their terrified faces.

Only the reddish-faced boy at a distance, was still raising his fist with difficulty.

He was the only living creature within Zheng Qing’s vision.

“Ah….” the continuous and high pitched scream of a girl from behind shattered the frozen moment.

It was the owner of the snake, this was Zheng Qing’s last thought before losing consciousness.

A familiar but strange intense pain brutally rushed into his head, he screamed in pain, holding his head and fell to the ground convulsing.

A dazzling golden light burst from Xiao Xiao which was accompanied by a roar sounding like a dragon or a turtle, the continuous popping sound reverberating in the ears.

In that instant, the protective amulets of the other newcomers activated, multicoloured shields flashed, adding a lot of light and shadow effects to the entire restaurant.

Nikita hummed lightly, the bright red in her eyes fading slightly.

“You all can’t even bear a bit of pressure,” she scornfully looked at the red-faced boy in the distance, panting and kneeling on one knee.

His face was stubborn as he stared at the witch.

Xiao Xiao quietly put away the black notebook in her arms, sidestepped a toppled sofa, and headed straight for the dining table.

Zheng Qing held his head, still writhing on the ground.

Li Meng, held back by the monk by the sofa, stamped her feet in agitation.

The monk leisurely lifted his robe to tuck the little fox that had popped out back behind the sofa.

“Everyone, just stay calm.

Stay still and try to apply a few more layers of the Guarding Curse on yourselves,” Xiao Xiao instructed loudly with her back turned to everyone.

“I need clean olive oil!” Nikita kept her Law book aside after finishing drawing the Formation, picked the feather pen back up, and warned the short boy walking towards the dining table, “If the oil isn’t clean, I’ll use your dearest blood instead.”

The atmosphere in the dining hall became even more oppressive, only interrupted by the cries of a few girls and the loud thumping sound of Zheng Qing’s head hitting the ground.

“Crack!” A bolt of lightning flew not far from the aircraft.

Outside the window, the rolling thunder grew from distant to near, shaking the vast sky.

The blood-red hexagram on the dining hall floor flickered bright and dark under the disruption of the thunder.

The witch frowned, raising her head to look at the spectacled snake that was coiled up motionlessly nearby.

“Roll over here!” she softly scolded the spectacled snake.

The spectacled snake, which had been pretending to be dead, immediately opened its eyes and strenuously rolled towards the witch’s feet.

“Do you have the Snake Stone yet?” The witch picked up its tail and felt around its belly.

The spectacled snake raised its head in fear, shaking it as though it was a tambourine, and its bright red tongue sprung everywhere like a rubber band.

“Shut your mouth!

Swallow your tongue!” the witch scolded in disgust, “And stop moving your head!”

The spectacled snake pitifully pulled its tongue back in and closed its mouth tightly, not daring to move while raising its neck.

Nikita took out a small silver knife and made two slight cuts on either side of the snake’s cheek pouch.

A clear, viscous fluid slowly seeped from the two fine wounds, flowing into the blood-red Formation on the floor.

The witch frowned, feeling that the venom was seeping out too slowly.

Before she could make a move, the spectacled snake puckered its mouth and quickly spat out the venom from its cheek pouch.

The injection of venom stabilized the flickering Formation.

At the same time, Xiao Xiao approached the Formation with a bowl of olive oil, took out a thick brush, soaked it in the oil, and traced the hexagram Formation on the floor.

The Formation that was smeared with oil lost its bloody scent and seemed smoother and more natural.

“As expected of Mr.

Wise.” Nikita beamed at Xiao Xiao who had finished drawing the magic circle, waved her hand, and let him return to the newcomers.

“You get away too!” Seeing the spectacled snake trembling near her foot, the witch kicked it away, laughing and scolding, “My Formation has never used you creepy crawlies as sacrifices.”

The snake rolled into the mini garden in the middle of the dining hall and swiftly darted behind a fake rock.

“Devious crawler.” The witch pursed her lips and looked at the trembling newcomers not far away.

After being exposed, fleeing was the only choice.

But this choice must be understood by the captain.

So, she had to bring back a gift of suitable weight.

Nikita’s eyes lingered on Zheng Qing who was writhing on the floor, clutching his head.
