Rebirth: Splendid Marriage in the 80s

Chapter 1524: Chapter 1526: She Took the Initiative

So, she took the initiative, she kissed him, touched him, took the lead...

She guided him and gave herself to him.

Chiang Qingzhu did not regret it, at that time she felt that in her entire life, she would never meet a man more handsome, gentle, and refined than him; she loved him, and by giving herself to him, she would be able to marry him.

Later, when she came to her senses, feeling an urgent need to relieve herself, she ran out, thinking of picking some fruits for him to eat. Upon returning to the cave, however, she discovered he was gone.

When Chiang Qingzhu told them about it, she naturally wouldn’t go into such detail, it was impossible to mention the particulars, but from the broad outline she gave and her shy, springlike demeanor as she spoke, Chiang Xiao roughly guessed what had happened.

As Chiang Qingzhu described Ah Liu’s speech and demeanour, Chiang Xiao couldn’t help but constantly think of someone in her mind.

That was the man with intellectual disabilities wearing a white shirt, as described by Old Bai.

The same white shirt, the same good looks, the same literate background.

And with her resemblance to that man, as Chiang Qingzhu now looked at her with a face full of reminiscence, she was almost certain that the man Old Bai had described was her biological father!

Chiang Xiao felt a complex turmoil within her heart.

It appeared that her biological mother was unreliable; no matter the difficulties, it couldn’t justify her not contacting her family and disregarding her daughter for fifteen years. And her biological father was a man with intellectual disabilities, who, in a state of confusion and ignorance, had impregnated Chiang Qingzhu.

What was she supposed to say?

”Later on, I found out I was pregnant with you, and I was very scared. The villagers kept cursing at me, and my parents wore gloomy expressions every day, especially mother, who cried all day long. They kept asking me who that man was, and when I said I truly didn’t know his name, they thought I had been forced.”

Chiang Qingzhu, with tears in her eyes, said: ”But how could I let them slander Ah Liu like that? Ah Liu didn’t force me.”

Suddenly, Chiang Xiao said: ”Could it be that you forced him instead?”

A man with the mind of a child, feverish, what did he understand?

Kuang Kanzhi listened silently and almost choked to death on Chiang Xiao’s remark.

Chiang Qingzhu’s face turned beet red, her eyes flickering uncertainly.

How, how, how is she supposed to respond to this? Has Little been corrupted by the villagers? How could she dare to say such things at her age?

Seeing the way Chiang Qingzhu’s eyes flickered, Chiang Xiao felt like her heart was flipping over a bucket of dog blood.

Although it might not have been the case that Chiang Qingzhu forced Ah Liu, but with Ah Liu having the mental capacity of a child, despite possessing the physiological instincts of a man, could he have done it without Chiang Qingzhu’s consent or initiative?

She fell silent again.

So, it’s very possible that her biological father, to the end, had no understanding of what he had actually done; of course, he would also be unaware of the existence of his daughter in the world.

When he awoke and found Chiang Qingzhu gone, he naturally might have thought she had run away, so of course, he would have run away too.

She remembered Old Bai saying that the man only remembered needing to keep walking, the farther the better, and would not stay in one place for long.

The mind of a child, in the wilderness of a cave, would be even less likely to linger.

But, having heard Chiang Qingzhu’s words, Chiang Xiao at least knew that the man, despite his childlike mind, was capable of living, even able to light fires and dry clothes, which inexplicably put her mind at ease.

Not a complete life incompetent, he surely wouldn’t starve to death.
