Rebirth: Splendid Marriage in the 80s

Chapter 714: Chapter 715: Exclusive Formula

”You still have the nerve to say that? Those treats were so delicious, yet you didn’t think to save any for me, your host!” Old Meng was on the verge of tears now. Xiao Chiang had already left, and they no longer had the chance to enjoy such delicious desserts.

This undutiful grandson, why did he only bring so little?

After knowing his thoughts, Meng Xinian also felt like sweating.

”Since you all say it’s tasty, let me help Little set a price. There are several kinds of desserts. One is made with tea powder, another with red beans and mung beans, and there’s also one made with honey. These three types of desserts have different prices, which are fifty yuan per box, thirty-five per box, and if you want to mix, forty per box. She plans to sell these treats, so, now do you still think she brought too few?”

Old Tang and the others were dumbfounded upon hearing this.

Are these desserts so expensive?

Even Old Tang found it hard to believe for a moment.

Then, how much worth of desserts did they just snatch from Old Meng, pouncing on them all at once?

It took a while for Old Meng to find his voice again, and he asked, ”Are these really Xiao Chiang’s selling prices? Just like the ones mentioned?”

”Yes,” Meng Xinian advertised vigorously on behalf of Chiang Xiao.

”Then why are they so expensive?” An elder asked, puzzled, ”It’s not just about making money and setting random prices, is it?”

”Because the production time for these treats is long, and the ingredients are of high quality, all made from finely ground top-grade tea leaves, with added materials that are beneficial to health, unique recipes—all these factors are costs, but they’re worth it, aren’t they?”

Meng Xinian’s words made them nod involuntarily.

They really were worth it. They were still savoring the taste even now; if they weren’t so delicious, why would they be arguing here?

It’s just because they didn’t get their fill.

”I’d like to buy two boxes to give my spouse a taste. She’s been with me for so many years, endured much hardship; it’s time to treat her to something sweet,” said an elder suddenly.

Upon hearing this, the others felt tempted too.

A box for thirty-five, they could afford that.

Old Tang was even more dramatic, grabbing Tang Qing’s arm and saying, ”Look, Xiao Chiang is so capable, you can’t miss out! We’ll also take three boxes, and consider it a way of supporting Xiao Chiang’s business, what do you say?”

Meng Xinian wanted to say, not good at all!

Chiang Xiaoxiao’s dessert business isn’t going to fail without your Tang Family’s three boxes!

Even now, you’re still scheming to poach from me, I really hope Chiang Xiao doesn’t sell those treats to you two!

But in reality, Meng Xinian was fully intent on helping Chiang Xiao to make a breakthrough. Bringing back those desserts to the Capital for Old Meng was also part of his plan; otherwise, why would he let Old Tang and the others share those desserts?

He’s not that generous.

”If Grandpa likes it, let’s buy it,” Tang Qing said, and unexpectedly found himself swallowing unconsciously.

He was no longer someone with strong desires, and didn’t even enjoy sweets that much but, for some reason, the sweet aroma of these treats was getting to him.

What kind of desserts were these, exactly?

Tang Qing thought and decided that once he got those three boxes, he would definitely try one.

Chiang Xiao did not expect that right after she returned to City M, she would receive a call from Meng Xinian.

”I figure you must have just walked through the door not long ago.” His voice came through the phone, slightly deep.

Chiang Xiao couldn’t help but sweat.

Captain Meng, isn’t this like a professional habit?

Calculating the timing so precisely?
