Supreme Warrior in the City

The reason these people attracted Su Yang and his group’s attention was mainly because their power progression was remarkably rapid.

While others were still struggling with the Saint Realm, these individuals had already entered the Saint King’s realm. In fact, one among them had half a foot already stepped into the Saint Emperor Realm. At this pace, he would soon reach the Earth-level Realm.

Su Yang was not stationed inside this world; he was still in that desolate starfield because that broken starfield was absorbing Earth-level Spiritual Energy.

A light cocoon had appeared within, and based on previous occurrences, more lives would surely emerge from within.

Su Yang was clueless about how these light cocoons came to be, nor did he know how these worlds were born. However, since life could emerge, he was certainly going to provide all the Spiritual Energy he could.

Unless something of significant importance arose, he would generally not enter this world but stay outside, tasked with supplying Spiritual Energy to other light cocoons.

It was precisely the swift improvement of this person that caught Su Yang’s attention, prompting him to pause his outside activities and specifically enter this world to observe the individual.

It had only been a hundred years since Su Yang left this world. Yet this person, from a previous Saint realm, was on the verge of entering the Saint Emperor Realm, which was truly astonishing.

Crossing three realms in just one hundred years?

Even Su Yang himself did not have such a cultivation speed before!

This situation was undoubtedly stunning.

No matter how exceptional one’s talent might be, such a cultivation speed was simply impossible, right? What on earth was going on?

Su Yang saw the person everyone was talking about, a man named Wan Du, who was regarded as an idol by all in this world.

”Have you observed how he managed to advance so quickly?” Su Yang asked the Human Emperor, who was the first to discover Wan Du.

The Human Emperor furrowed his brow and said quietly, ”The power rules of this world are different from ours, so observing it is somewhat challenging. However, he gives me a peculiar impression. His power skyrockets fast, evoking the feeling that instead of cultivating it himself, he seems to be absorbing it from outside!”

”Hmm?” Su Yang was surprised, ”What do you mean?”

The Human Emperor didn’t answer directly but continued in a low voice, ”Moreover, the secret techniques he practices are all self-created. But, upon my observation, I noticed that for some of these techniques, he hasn’t even tried them before using them outright. Even he himself appears puzzled. The situation is such that it feels almost instinctual!”

”Instinctual?” Su Yang’s thoughts stirred, staring at the Human Emperor incredulously, ”Are you saying...”

The Human Emperor remained silent for a moment before speaking softly, ”I suspect he is not cultivating, but reclaiming what belongs to him!”

”Reclaiming?” Su Yang took a deep breath as he looked at Wan Du, muttering, ”Do you mean he is not a newly born life, but a reincarnated, reborn strong individual who can absorb the power of his previous life and instinctively use past secret techniques, thus the rapid progression!”

The Human Emperor nodded, ”That is indeed what I sense. After all, there is a limit to human cultivation speed. The speed at which he’s advancing cannot be explained other than reincarnation and rebirth; it utterly surpasses the limits of cultivation!”

Su Yang frowned; he understood the Human Emperor’s meaning. After all, they were all among the strongest, once possessing the greatest aptitude, knowing well the limits of human capabilities.

This person far exceeds cultivation limits, which certainly indicates an issue. Supposing one claimed that it was self-cultivated growth, to be frank, not even Su Yang could believe it.

”If he’s reincarnated and reborn...” Su Yang, looking at Wan Du with a furrowed brow, questioned, ”Who then, is he reincarnated from? Moreover, how did he enter this world? The light cocoon was born in front of me; besides us, no one else came in!”

”Or perhaps, he is a reincarnated strong individual from within this world!” suggested the Human Emperor.

”A powerful person from this world?” Su Yang was taken aback, then shook his head, ”That’s unlikely; this world emerged before my eyes. Previously, there was no life, nothing, how could he reincarnate and be reborn?”

The Human Emperor studied Su Yang and said softly, ”Su Alliance Leader, have you ever wondered about how this world came into existence?”

”I...” Su Yang found himself without an answer. He knew this world was birthed from that starfield, but as for the method of its inception, it was really hard to say.

”All these years, I’ve pondered over this,” the Human Emperor said. ”There’s only one possibility for the birth of this world: the World Tree has brought forth life. Our World Tree, which fused so many World Trees together, absorbing Spiritual Energy may have given rise to life, resulting in such a world.”

Su Yang was moved; this idea seemed likely indeed.

”And among our World Tree’s fused entities, some were thriving, life-filled World Trees, while others were desolate World Trees,” the Human Emperor added. ”I often wonder, if truly it is the World Tree birthing life, then is it the flourishing World Tree that created life, or one of those desolate World Trees?”

”Desolate World Trees have lost their Life Force, so presumably couldn’t create life, right?” Su Yang contemplated, ”It should be those thriving World Trees.”

”I beg to differ,” the Human Emperor shook his head. ”Desolate World Trees may have lost Life Force, but that doesn’t imply they’re entirely without hope. If nourished by Spiritual Energy, those desolate World Trees might rejuvenate and bear new life!”

Su Yang widened his eyes, exclaiming in surprise, ”Are you saying this world is actually a once-desolate World Tree that has rejuvenated?”

”Initially, I didn’t dare think this way; however, after seeing Wan Du, I feel my speculation might be correct!” The Human Emperor pointed to Wan Du below, ”He is very likely one of those powerful beings birthed by the World Tree before, and now that the World Tree is revitalized, he has returned. Subsequently, he imbibes his own power, reclaiming past secret techniques, progressing rapidly, bringing about this current situation!”

Su Yang was astounded as he looked at Wan Du at the bottom; although the Human Emperor’s explanation seemed somewhat far-fetched, it couldn’t be denied it was quite reasonable.

Perhaps this world, as Human Emperor mentioned, is indeed a desolate World Tree, revitalized anew!

The Human Emperor continued, ”Furthermore, the cultivation speed of the other individuals is also unusual; I suspect they too are the returnees of former powerful beings!”
