Supreme Warrior in the City

Upon hearing the Eye of Chaos speak, Su Yang immediately understood the situation.

Without a doubt, they must have encountered danger together. The four of them discussed and decided to first join forces to deal with the Blood Shadow. They temporarily set aside their grievances, intending to address these matters later.

Now that the Blood Shadow issue has been resolved, these two Guardian Gods have fallen into the Human Clan’s encirclement.

Supreme Dragon Emperor and others definitely want to kill these two Guardian Gods, while the Eye of Chaos and Suffering Buddha do not want to betray their initial vow, creating such a conflict.

In this situation, Su Yang felt no need to worry. He simply nodded: ”Since promises were made, act accordingly. You two may leave.”

The two Guardian Gods looked at each other, their faces filled with shock. They hadn’t expected Su Yang would truly let them go.

Understandably, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Currently, the Human Clan has six of the strongest warriors, including Su Yang, who stands out among them. And there are only two Guardian Gods. If the Human Clan wants to annihilate them, it would be exceptionally easy.

Once they are eliminated, the Guardian Gods’ strength would significantly decrease, making future encounters much easier.

Furthermore, the initial vow was not spoken by Su Yang himself; he has no obligation to adhere to that promise.

Unexpectedly, Su Yang still decided to let them go, something they hadn’t even considered possible.

The Eye of Chaos and Suffering Buddha were overjoyed, fearing Su Yang might kill the two. In such a case, they truly wouldn’t know how to manage the situation.

Not protecting the two and watching them die in battle would mean violating their previous vow. But if they intervene to save them, how would they explain it to the Human Clan?

Supreme Dragon Emperor was not pleased and quickly spoke: ”Su Alliance Leader, are you just letting them leave? Have you forgotten how many strong warriors from our Human Clan and the Demon Beast Clan have died at the hands of the Guardian Gods? In the battle at the Land of Origin, when you upgraded to the strongest level, we were left with less than a hundred people, and my Demon Beast Clan was almost wiped out. If you don’t kill them, how can you face those slain members?”

These words made the Eye of Chaos and Suffering Buddha grimace, for Supreme Dragon Emperor was entirely correct. The heavy casualties of the Human Clan were all due to the Guardian Gods, and the enmity between the Human Clan and the Guardian Gods was indeed irreconcilable!

”We will always repay the revenge that is due, but we must also keep our commitments!” Su Yang said calmly: ”If we break our vows for revenge, how can we gain trust in the future?”

After speaking, Su Yang glanced deeply at Supreme Dragon Emperor and said softly: ”Moreover, such situations may not only occur once in the Great World. Right now, it may seem like our Human Clan has the upper hand, but elsewhere Guardian Gods might have dominance. If we kill these Guardian Gods, won’t the Guardian Gods kill our Human Clan members?”

”How do you know the Guardian Gods won’t kill our Human Clan members?” Supreme Dragon Emperor quickly retorted.

”I don’t know what the Guardian Gods will do, but at least we should act this way, for peace of mind!” Su Yang answered calmly.

Supreme Dragon Emperor pursed his lips but eventually remained silent.

Actually, Supreme Dragon Emperor was unaware that Su Yang had another important reason for acting this way.

If Su Yang kept the two, the Eye of Chaos and Suffering Buddha would be unable to accept it. Then, with unstable mindsets, one wouldn’t know what might occur.

But by releasing them, the Eye of Chaos and Suffering Buddha would have no psychological burden, which was most crucial!

”You two may leave.” Su Yang looked at the two Guardian Gods and said loudly.

The two Guardian Gods glanced at each other and slowly nodded. One of them said solemnly, ”The Human Clan keeps its promise, we’ll remember this!”

”Wait!” Supreme Dragon Emperor suddenly called to them, exclaiming loudly: ”Su Alliance Leader, while letting them go may be alright, didn’t we save their lives? Shouldn’t they also offer us some gratitude?”

Su Yang frowned: ”Enough, Dragon Emperor, stop dwelling on these matters. Promises were made, and promises should be kept!”

”We certainly keep our promises and can let them leave, but their gratitude is also something they should give us!” Supreme Dragon Emperor insisted: ”Isn’t that right?”

The two Guardian Gods looked at each other, and one said solemnly, ”How would you want us to repay you?”

”Simple enough, tell us what’s happening in the Great World...” Supreme Dragon Emperor stated: ”Also, what are those Heavenly Venerables planning? How can they be so bothersome without growing tired? Why don’t they just come out and kill us?”

The two Guardian Gods’ expressions changed, biting their lips and remaining silent.

Actually, Su Yang had long wanted answers to these questions. But in the end, Su Yang couldn’t compel them.

Watching their expressions, Su Yang sighed softly and said loudly: ”You don’t need to answer these questions. You may leave now, and no one will stop you!”

”Su Alliance Leader!” Supreme Dragon Emperor urged impatiently: ”How can this be acceptable? We saved them!”

”This isn’t saving per se, rather mutual assistance alongside the Eye of Chaos and Suffering Buddha!” Su Yang said sternly: ”Enough, say no more, let them leave!”

Supreme Dragon Emperor glared aggrievedly at the two Guardian Gods before resigning with a sigh, waving his claw: ”Leave, leave, get going!”

The two Guardian Gods finally breathed a sigh of relief and bowed to Su Yang: ”Thank you, Su Alliance Leader!”

Su Yang nodded calmly, and the two turned and rapidly departed without daring to linger. The manner suggested they feared being held back.

Watching them disappear into the distance, Supreme Dragon Emperor sighed: ”Su Alliance Leader, I don’t mean to criticize, but why be so merciful to Guardian Gods? What promise was made to them? What vow, all irrelevant. It’s better to simply kill them!”

Su Yang glanced at Supreme Dragon Emperor, speaking softly: ”Would killing them bring significant gains to the Human Clan?”

”At least, we would immediately hold an advantage!” Supreme Dragon Emperor replied.

Su Yang waved his hand: ”To make decisions that breach vows for temporary benefits, that’s not my style!”

Supreme Dragon Emperor was speechless, then suddenly those two Guardian Gods flew back saying: ”Su Alliance Leader, you did indeed save me, and I will answer just one question for you...”
