Supreme Warrior in the City

According to Su Yang’s method, they began the search. Su Yang and his team first went to the nearest area, the previous location of the Demon Lord and Taoist Venerable.

Su Yang’s prediction was pretty accurate, as they really found the marks left by Taoist Venerable and Demon Lord there. However, the Taoist Venerable and Demon Lord were not present. It seemed they had left to seek others.

Following the route the Demon Lord and Taoist Venerable took towards their direction, Su Yang and his team quickly pursued them.

Almost three years had passed, during which they encountered three massive stars.

Every star had blood shadows within. However, these blood shadows showed no hostility toward Su Yang.

Previously, Su Yang was simply puzzled, but after hearing the description from two Strongests, he was even more astonished.

Logically speaking, these blood shadows should be unconscious, attacking every life they encounter. So why didn’t they attack Su Yang? Could it be that Su Yang is not considered a life?

Suddenly, Su Yang thought of something.

These blood shadows don’t seem to attack other blood shadows either!

Before, when the Eternal Divine Emperor and Supreme Dragon Emperor were besieged by two blood shadows, Su Yang intercepted them, allowing the Eternal Divine Emperor and Supreme Dragon Emperor to escape. At that moment, only Su Yang and the two blood shadows were left, and they didn’t attack Su Yang or each other. It turns out these blood shadows won’t attack other blood shadows.

Could their non-aggression towards Su Yang be related to this?

Su Yang recalled what those Guardian Gods mentioned, that these blood shadows are spiritual bodies formed from the life remnants of previous World Trees. Meaning these blood shadows are the remnants left by World Trees that once bore life.

Su Yang’s situation is also akin to a being survived from a World Tree that once bore life. In a way, he shares the same circumstances as these blood shadows, both residuals from the previous World Tree.

Is it possible that this is the reason why the blood shadows don’t attack him?

Thinking carefully, Su Yang figured this possibility is considerable, otherwise he couldn’t explain why the blood shadows didn’t attack him!

Traveling back with several Strongests took nearly seven years, and finally Su Yang and his team reached the location where Su Yang and Ye Wantong were previously situated. Yet, on this entire journey they didn’t encounter the Demon Lord and Taoist Venerable, unaware of their whereabouts.

”Were they not coming to find you?” Supreme Dragon Emperor asked with curiosity.

”That’s also possible!” Su Yang nodded, ”Maybe they weren’t solely coming to find me, they might have gone to find those closest to them.”

The Eye of Chaos recalled, saying, ”Back then, it seemed like Human Emperor and Palace Master Yu Ling were the closest to them, could they have gone to find them!”

Su Yang remarked, ”That’s uncertain, but we can make our next stop to their location, and attempt a search there.”

Everyone had no objections and followed Su Yang’s suggestion, heading directly from Su Yang and Ye Wantong’s previous location toward the last known position of Human Emperor and Qi’er.

The distance between them was actually quite far, taking about twelve years of travel while encountering several stars, finally reaching where Human Emperor and Qi’er were situated.

There were indeed traces left by Human Emperor and Qi’er, but neither were there. Searching all around yielded no results.

”Still haven’t found anyone!” Supreme Dragon Emperor looked at Su Yang: ”Su Alliance Leader, is your method flawed? Why can’t we find anyone?”

Su Yang ignored him, surveying around, and said solemnly: ”Head towards the Demon Lord and Taoist Venerable’s location.”

Everyone understood and nodded.

The locations of these two groups were the closest. If neither group was heading toward Su Yang, then the only possibility was they both went toward the closest people. Hence, Human Emperor and Qi’er were most likely heading toward the Demon Lord and Taoist Venerable.

Su Yang and his team set their course and swiftly flew in that direction.

After about a year, they sensed massive power fluctuations from afar.

The group was experienced, Ye Wantong and others stayed behind, while Su Yang went ahead alone.

Soon, Su Yang spotted four individuals from afar, besieging two blood shadows.

These four were Demon Lord, Taoist Venerable, Human Emperor, and Qi’er. Each had extraordinary strength, and the two blood shadows were being pushed back continuously, seemingly on the verge of collapse.

Su Yang didn’t expect such a scenario, considering that throughout their encounters, they were always chased by the blood shadows, never able to counter them.

Now, instead, the two blood shadows were at a disadvantage, while the Human Clan held the absolute upper hand.

At this moment, the four also noticed Su Yang and shouted for him to come over.

”Su Alliance Leader, what are you standing there for, come quickly and help!” Taoist Venerable shouted loudly while fighting.

Su Yang rushed over and was momentarily taken aback by the scene before him.

These two blood shadows were gravely injured, with one having its body nearly shattered entirely, looking like it could be eliminated at any moment.

”Su Alliance Leader, quickly stop them from escaping!” Taoist Venerable exclaimed while fighting, ”These guys are tough to deal with, stronger than the Strongest. Fortunately, they lack the immortal capabilities of the Strongest, allowing us to eliminate them. Seize this chance and kill them both, otherwise, they might regroup and be difficult to handle later on!”

Su Yang watched the two blood shadows, and truth be told, they didn’t seem intent on fleeing. They lack consciousness, merely attacking all life they perceive, completely unaware of their perilous situation, knowing no fear or terror, not even contemplating escape.

Observing one blood shadow about to suffer severe damage again, Su Yang quickly rushed forward, intercepting the Demon Lord’s heavy blow.

”What the heck? What are you doing?” Demon Lord’s face was stunned, knowing that his strike could have shattered half the blood shadow’s body.

”Alright, stop fighting!” Su Yang stopped the blood shadow as well, ”You guys can leave first, let me handle this!”

”What are you kidding about, we were about to kill them, why should we leave?” Taoist Venerable shouted: ”Relax, we’re stronger than them, definitely able to destroy them. Su Alliance Leader, keeping them around is just a hidden danger. They’re formidable adversaries and said must be dealt with first to prevent them bouncing back later to confront us, leading to trouble!”
