Supreme Warrior in the City

Blood Shadow has emerged, it will surely leave some traces. Su Yang’s current task is to find these traces and thus locate the path Heaven Slayer and Buddha Venerable took to leave.

Others who arrived here previously discovered a star and immediately retreated without pursuing further.

Therefore, it’s not that Heaven Slayer and Buddha Venerable didn’t leave any traces here, but rather that the location of these traces may not be here. They only took a brief look at the star from afar before departing, making it unlikely to find the traces.

Su Yang continued flying in the direction of the star for some time and indeed discovered signs of spatial tears in the sky, indicating a battle took place here.

However, the time since the battle has been too long. So, the remnants of the battle have almost disappeared. Su Yang couldn’t find anything particularly noteworthy, but he could distinguish that indeed Heaven Slayer and Buddha Venerable fought someone here.

This discovery at least indicates that Su Yang’s search path is correct. Without hesitating, he immediately sped up his search forward.

Flying for another stretch of time, Su Yang encountered another star, but this star was also empty, nothing inside.

Su Yang was shocked; two consecutive stars had no Blood Shadows within them. Could Heaven Slayer and Buddha Venerable summon two Blood Shadows? Moreover, neither of these Blood Shadows returned to the stars, which suggests they are still chasing Heaven Slayer and Buddha Venerable. What exactly is happening here?

Given Heaven Slayer and Buddha Venerable’s capabilities, a single Blood Shadow wouldn’t be their match, but two Blood Shadows would be uncertain. Leading two Blood Shadows trailing them, do they not realize the trouble this could cause?

With uncertainty, Su Yang hurriedly advanced along the path.

Compared to other Strongest, Su Yang’s strength is significantly superior; his speed is also much faster than the average Strongest. Traveling alone ensures no problem in speed.

Less than half a year later, Su Yang discovered another star.

Su Yang immediately entered the star to investigate, only to find it was similarly empty, the Blood Shadow clearly absent within.

Su Yang’s expression changed; Heaven Slayer and Buddha Venerable had already summoned a third Blood Shadow.

If the first and second were summoned unknowingly, then what is the purpose of summoning the third? Do they not realize how dangerous these Blood Shadows are? What are they trying to achieve by summoning so many?

At this time, Su Yang dared not pursue further. He swiftly retreated and called upon other Strongest, gathering everyone to follow the path together.

The path led to the area once occupied by the Guardian Gods. Proceeding further means entering the realm of Heaven Slayer, and Su Yang had no idea of Heaven Slayer and Buddha Venerable’s current situation; he didn’t dare venture alone.

Once surrounded by the Guardian Gods’ Strongest, the situation of the Human Clan would become troublesome. So, Su Yang had to bring others along to ensure they were fully prepared. In this way, at least their numbers would be sufficient to not necessarily be outmatched by the Guardian Gods’ Strongest.

On the road, the others heard Su Yang describe the situation of the stars, each shook immensely.

They had all witnessed the Blood Shadows’ power, and now Heaven Slayer and Buddha Venerable managed to summon three Blood Shadows, which was astonishing.

Three Blood Shadows, attacking them as a pair, despite Heaven Slayer and Buddha Venerable’s exceptional strength, couldn’t withstand.

”What exactly are they trying to do?” questioned Supreme Dragon Emperor in disbelief, ”Do they have some situation they can’t resolve? How can they summon so many Blood Shadows to follow them? Aren’t they worried about being overwhelmed?”

Everyone else was equally baffled, as Heaven Slayer and Buddha Venerable’s actions were beyond comprehension.

Soon, everyone passed through the three stars.

Su Yang made a point to enter each of the three stars to examine them; the interiors were devoid of Blood Shadows.

”The three Blood Shadows haven’t returned either; no telling how Heaven Slayer and his counterpart are faring!” Taoist Venerable remarked with knit brows, ”Are we even going to make it in time by following this path?”

Everyone advanced at full speed, and after a while, they encountered a fourth star.

Leaving everyone waiting in the distance, Su Yang went alone to investigate this star.

Once again, it was similar to before: the star harbored no Blood Shadow within.

At this, everyone was even more puzzled. Just what was going on?

There were already four Blood Shadows!

Heaven Slayer and Buddha Venerable summoned four Blood Shadows; what is their intention?

Continuing onward, the group successively discovered new stars. The circumstances within these stars mirrored those from earlier, as none contained Blood Shadows.

Eventually, the group was shocked to discover that over twenty Blood Shadows had been summoned.

”Summoning over twenty Blood Shadows, what are they trying to do?” asked Supreme Dragon Emperor in confusion, ”These Blood Shadows are equivalent to more than twenty beings with strength comparable to Heaven Slayer. If such strong beings were to encircle those two, they’d be doomed. Heaven Slayer and Buddha Venerable aren’t foolish, why would they undertake such a risky endeavor?”

Others were equally bewildered; this situation was truly incomprehensible.

At that moment, Su Yang finally spoke: ”I think Heaven Slayer and Buddha Venerable intend to deal with the Guardian Gods!”

”Deal with the Guardian Gods!?” Everyone exclaimed in surprise, Supreme Dragon Emperor looked at Su Yang with astonishment: ”How would they confront the Guardian Gods? They are already being chased like cornered animals by these Blood Shadows, and then go on to confront the Guardian Gods? Moreover, who knows how many people there are under the Guardian Gods. Just the two of them coming alone to confront the Guardian Gods, it’s self-sabotage!”

”They’re not going to battle the Guardian Gods directly!” Su Yang shook his head: ”I suspect they intend to lead the Blood Shadows to the Guardian Gods and use them against them. Don’t you remember what the Guardian Gods said before, these Blood Shadows attack all lifeforms they see? The Guardian Gods are lifeforms and not exempt!”

”Ah?” Supreme Dragon Emperor’s eyes widened in disbelief; this scenario hadn’t occurred to him, and at that moment he struggled to accept it.

Other Strongest nodded collectively in agreement; once Su Yang had made that comment, they too considered the possibility.

”You know, that really is a possibility!” Human Emperor spoke solemnly: ”Heaven Slayer and Buddha Venerable are typically straightforward in action. They are the rearguard, and likely anticipated what the Guardian Gods intended to do. So they straightforwardly drew out those Blood Shadows to deal with the Guardian Gods. In this way, they could eliminate the Guardian Gods at minimal cost!”
