Supreme Warrior in the City

Su Yang never expected such a thing to happen. His face changed as he hurriedly asked, ”How could this happen? Weren’t you always heading north? How did they find you?”

The eagle sighed helplessly, ”We followed the direction you mentioned, but we underestimated the number of those Feather Clan descendants. A few of them went into the water, hid there, and escaped a disaster. As soon as you left, they immediately tracked us while leaving markers for their main force. We were caught up by those Feather Clan descendants in less than three days!”

Su Yang frowned. This was a situation he hadn’t anticipated.

However, such a situation was beyond Su Yang’s control. After all, the area was so vast at the time, and there were simply too many people involved, causing chaos beyond Su Yang’s capacity to manage the entire situation. Such an event had not been in Su Yang’s predictions.

What truly worried Su Yang was that those Feather Clan descendants were now also rushing towards the Feather Spirit Palace. This means Su Yang and his group could easily be surrounded here!

”How far are those Feather Clan descendants from here?” Su Yang asked in a deep voice.

”When we were fleeing, we ran very fast and didn’t stop along the way, so we should have widened the distance from them,” said the eagle. ”Based on the distance, they are probably still a day’s journey away from here!”

Hearing this, Su Yang couldn’t help but breathe a sigh of relief. Those Feather Clan descendants hadn’t surrounded the place yet, so the situation was still favorable; they at least still had time to escape. If those Feather Clan descendants managed to surround this place, then no matter how great Su Yang’s abilities were, the battle would be lost!

Su Yang took some peaches from the Little Turtle’s shell and handed them to the eagle and others, saying, ”Eat these to heal; after eating, we’ll leave here immediately.”

The eagle and a few others quickly accepted the peaches and devoured them ravenously. However, some of them held the peaches but hesitated to eat.

Su Yang saw clearly that these people were the ones he had rescued from the Feather Clan descendants a few days ago. After rescuing them, each was immediately given a peach to eat. It had only been a few days, and they hadn’t yet digested the previous peach. Now holding this peach, they really couldn’t eat it.

In fact, these few people didn’t need the peaches because they had just consumed one a few days ago; spiritual energy was still accumulating in their bodies, and their injuries had already recovered significantly.

”If you can’t eat it, don’t force yourself,” Su Yang said.

The few people changed their expression, knowing that the peach was a valuable thing. Now that Su Yang was giving them one, it was a great fortune. Not eating it would be a huge loss!

Seeing their concern, Su Yang said directly, ”I’ll save these peaches for you until you can eat them.”

The few people immediately felt relieved, knowing that the peaches were still theirs, which was good.

After putting the peaches back into the shell, the eagle and others finished eating the peaches in hand, and their injuries had recovered somewhat. Su Yang led everyone to leave the area.

But just after moving a short distance, Su Yang’s eyebrows suddenly furrowed. He clearly felt some disturbance in the jungle not far away as if many people were approaching.

”Are you sure that those Feather Clan descendants are a day behind you?” Su Yang asked, looking at the eagle and others.

”Well...” The eagle scratched his head, ”There are many of them, about three or four hundred people, so they couldn’t be moving too fast. I... although it was an estimate, I am sure of it; there’s no way they could have caught up quickly!”

Su Yang frowned, looking at the forest ahead where he could already see many people rushing through the trees!

The eagle and others also saw the situation in the forest, which caused them to panic. The eagle said urgently, ”Su Alliance Leader, I truly don’t know what’s going on. That group was always far away from us. Did I miscalculate?”

Su Yang glanced at the group rushing from the trees; his expression became solemn as he said gravely, ”You didn’t miscalculate; it’s that these people are too cunning!”

”What... what do you mean?” the eagle asked in surprise.

”This group has probably been here for a long time!” Su Yang said seriously.

”What?” The eagle was stunned, turning to look at the Feather Clan descendants approaching.

Suddenly, the eagle’s expression changed as he urgently said, ”Su Alliance Leader, these people are not the same group that was chasing us!”

”Of course not!” Su Yang nodded calmly. ”You all mentioned that the Feather Clan descendants simply sent three or four hundred people to chase you. But they have about a thousand people in total, so where did the rest go?”

”These are the remaining ones!” The eagle’s eyes widened, urgently saying, ”Su Alliance Leader, they... they came here to find you?”

Su Yang nodded, ”They likely arrived long ago, but didn’t show themselves. They have been lurking this whole time, waiting for you to appear to capture us all at once!”

The eagle was stunned, finally understanding the situation, his expression turning extremely grim. Awkwardly, he looked at Su Yang and said with a trembling voice, ”Su Alliance Leader, I’m sorry, this... this time it’s my fault for implicating you...”

”Why are you saying that?” Su Yang glared at him and said sternly, ”These Feather Clan descendants are our mortal enemies. Even without your involvement, do you think they would spare me?”

The eagle’s expression warmed slightly, but he still said regretfully, ”Su Alliance Leader, if not for us fleeing to you, they wouldn’t have found you. Maybe, they weren’t even aware of your existence...”

”Haha, you’re overthinking it!” Su Yang looked at the Feather Clan descendants and said coldly, ”They have long known of my existence and would definitely not spare me!”

”What?” The eagle was perplexed, not understanding what Su Yang meant by this.

At this moment, Su Yang looked at the leading Feather Clan descendant and said loudly, ”Shariel, we meet again!”

The leader was indeed the same Shariel who led the Feather Clan descendants at Kunlun Mountain previously. At that time, Shariel personally fought with the Divine Master, and even the Divine Master was no match for him, showing how formidable he was.

Seeing Su Yang, a cold smile flashed in Shariel’s eyes, as he said loudly, ”Su Alliance Leader, you are quite the elusive one. It’s been almost four years, and if I hadn’t received news you were still alive, I would’ve thought you were all dead!”
