Supreme Warrior in the City

”This is quite simple, they communicate with signal fires,” the Eagle said. ”Light some wet firewood, and it will produce thick smoke that can be seen from far away. When they see the smoke, they’ll rush over immediately!”

Su Yang contemplated for a moment and slowly nodded, ”Excellent!”

The Eagle was taken aback; what did Su Yang mean by excellent? Could it be that Su Yang had already figured out how to deal with these people?

Su Yang didn’t say much to the Eagle, and everyone continued on, following the direction indicated by the Little Turtle.

The further they traveled, the more certain everyone became that the Little Turtle was indeed leading them toward the Feather Spirit Palace.

Three days before reaching the Feather Clan descendants’ stronghold, the Eagle couldn’t hold back any longer. He found Su Yang and asked in surprise, ”Su Alliance Leader, if we keep going, we’re going to arrive at that group of Feather Clan descendants’ stronghold soon. You’re... You’re not really planning to rescue those people, are you? Our numbers are far less than theirs...”

”War is deceit!” Su Yang smiled faintly. ”If we’re outnumbered, we’ll use some strategy. Aren’t there numerous examples in history of the few defeating the many?”

”Ah?” The Eagle was stunned. Su Yang was really planning to fight them; he even mentioned defeating the many with the few. What exactly was Su Yang planning?

”Su Alliance Leader, do you have a plan?” The Eagle asked in a low voice, feeling a bit anxious.

”There’s long been a plan,” Su Yang nodded with a faint smile, ”just waiting for execution.”

”Oh?” The Eagle perked up slightly. ”May I know what the Su Alliance Leader’s plan is?”

Su Yang smiled and said, ”You don’t need to know these details. When the time comes, I’ll assign tasks to you. You just need to do what I instruct. As for the other matters, you don’t need to worry about them, nor do you need to worry about safety; I’ll take care of everything.”

Three days later, they arrived near the stronghold of the Feather Clan descendants.

Five kilometers away, Su Yang had everyone stop. He took Qi’er and the Little Turtle to quietly scout the situation.

Though he no longer had power, Su Yang, being former special forces, had no issue with stealth. As for Qi’er and the Little Turtle, Su Yang didn’t let them walk. Instead, Qi’er went into the Little Turtle’s shell space, and the Little Turtle shrunk to hide in Su Yang’s pocket.

Before long, Su Yang arrived near a lake, which was the hunting and gathering place of the Feather Clan descendants.

Su Yang skirted the lake and saw a group of people working by the shore, probably the laborers assigned here.

After observing them closely, Su Yang didn’t linger but quietly made his way to a hillside.

Everything was exactly as depicted on the Eagle’s map, with no deviation. Su Yang easily bypassed everyone.

He circled around, memorizing the surroundings, and then quietly slipped into the woods.

Fifty people guarded the forest, but Su Yang easily evaded them and reached the central bonfire.

This bonfire was where they signaled. Su Yang quietly threw some wet firewood onto it and quickly left the area.

The Feather Clan descendants didn’t initially notice, but when the thick smoke rose, they realized something was amiss, plunging the area into chaos. Not only did the fifty patrolling there rush over, but even a hundred others from the caves hurried over, all clamoring to find out what was going on.

Nobody knew what had happened. Soon, even the hunters from the mountain below came running, breathless and bewildered, asking what had happened.

Since they defeated Huaxia’s cultivators, they hadn’t encountered a situation like this, and the signal fire hadn’t been lit since. The sudden rekindling naturally baffled them all.

However, they found nothing amiss here, adding to their confusion. Suspecting a prank or the wind blowing branches onto the fire, they eventually dispersed.

Of course, it was one or two hours later that they finally dispersed.

After lighting the signal fire, Su Yang rushed to the lakeside. With no one left guarding it and smoke rising from the mountain indicating a severe attack, the people here must have all rushed back to help.

They left in such a hurry, the food they stored was still untouched.

Su Yang didn’t hesitate to enlarge the Little Turtle, tossing all the food into its shell.

Upon hearing footsteps approaching from afar, Su Yang quickly had the Little Turtle shrink again, and he swiftly fled, lingering not a moment longer.

When the Feather Clan descendants arrived, they were astonished to find that nearly all their food had been stolen. The scene was a mess; all the food they had painstakingly gathered was gone.

This left them on the brink of collapse. They immediately split into two groups: one to search the surrounding area and the other to hurry back and report the situation.

After this, Su Yang promptly returned to regroup with his people. He didn’t have them stay but let everyone enter the Little Turtle’s shell space. Then, with the Little Turtle shrunken, he quickly fled, again lingering not a moment longer.

The Feather Clan descendants would certainly search the area, but with Su Yang’s wilderness survival skills, they stood no chance of finding him individually.

Moreover, Su Yang had a trump card.

If he couldn’t find anywhere to hide, Su Yang and the Little Turtle could dive into the water. Though the Little Turtle’s power was sealed, its innate abilities in water were formidable. The Feather Clan descendants couldn’t compete with the Little Turtle in water, nor could they find Su Yang underwater.

However, Su Yang’s trump card was entirely unnecessary. The Feather Clan descendants searched for a long time, never getting close to Su Yang, as he always detected them in advance and evaded them. Ultimately, they returned empty-handed, full of frustration!
