Supreme Warrior in the City

Su Yang nodded with a smile. Qi’er had grown up and thought more thoroughly than before; at least she could think of the orchard as not being ownerless.

Next, Su Yang, along with the Three Eagles, continued to pluck peaches from the trees, while Qi’er stood below, putting the peaches picked by the four of them into Little Turtle’s shell.

Little Turtle followed Qi’er, eating as it walked. It was a complete feast, as if making the most out of the opportunity.

Su Yang watched the little guy eating nonstop from up in the tree and was left speechless.

However, it didn’t eat for long; after around a dozen peaches, it couldn’t eat anymore.

This situation puzzled Su Yang. He knew Little Turtle’s appetite well. Now that it had become such a magnificent beast, eating a dozen, or even a hundred, should have been normal. So what was going on?

Without thinking much, Su Yang kept busy with the Three Eagles on the trees until nightfall.

By then, they had only picked peaches from dozens of trees. The orchard had thousands, if not tens of thousands of peach trees. How many could they possibly pick over just two days?

After tidying up, Su Yang and Qi’er prepared some food in the evening, and also entertained the Three Eagles of Yanbei.

The Three Eagles had now completely become Su Yang’s followers.

They had no choice—relying on their own strength, they would either starve or be captured by the Feather Clan descendants as slaves. But following Su Yang was different. They could eat and drink well and had quite a good life. Moreover, with Su Yang being so powerful and having Little Turtle, a Divine Beast, by his side, he was clearly not an ordinary person. Who knew what promising future awaited them? Naturally, the three men quickly made up their minds.

However, when Su Yang brought out peaches for them to eat that evening, something unexpected happened. The three seemed distressed and couldn’t eat any more peaches.

”What’s the matter? Why can’t you eat?” Su Yang asked in surprise.

Old Eagle scratched his head and said quietly, ”I don’t really know what’s happening. It feels as if the effects of what we ate at noon haven’t been digested yet, so... so these new peaches just can’t go down...”

”Don’t be ridiculous. We have peaches for breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day. There’s never been an issue with digestion!” Su Yang said with wide eyes. He and Qi’er had been eating plenty of peaches lately.

The three looked at each other, equally unsure of what was happening. In fact, they really wanted to eat, but the problem was, they genuinely couldn’t.

”But... but I think the Divine Beast can’t eat either...” One of the Three Eagles suddenly whispered.

Su Yang and Qi’er turned to look and saw Little Turtle lying in front of the peaches with a similarly distressed look. Up until now, it hadn’t taken a single bite.

”What on earth?” Su Yang was stunned. What was going on? It’s one thing that the Three Eagles couldn’t eat, but now even Little Turtle couldn’t—what was happening?

Su Yang picked up a peach himself and took a big bite—there was nothing unusual.

Looking at Qi’er, she had a similar experience to Su Yang—she also ate a peach without any discomfort.

”How can this be?” Qi’er asked in surprise.

Old Eagle looked at the two of them, his expression gradually turning to shock.

”Mr. Su, are you saying that during this time, you’ve been eating three peaches a day?” Old Eagle asked in amazement.

”Yes!” Su Yang nodded. ”Is there a problem with that?”

”There hasn’t been any time you didn’t want to eat?” Old Eagle asked. ”I mean, like feeling too full...”

”I stop eating when I’m full!” Qi’er replied.

Old Eagle’s face was full of shock, and he looked at the two with eyes filled with admiration and gratitude, grateful to have submitted to these two people.

”Is something wrong?” Su Yang asked, puzzled.

Old Eagle took a deep breath and said solemnly, ”Mr. Su, you should know that consuming too much of something naturally carrying Spiritual Energy can lead to a buildup inside the body, causing indigestion. In severe cases, it might even cause death by internal explosion!”

Su Yang nodded; he knew all about that.

”But there’s no Spiritual Energy in these peaches!” Su Yang said.

”They seem to have no Spiritual Energy now, but in reality, these peaches have very strong Spiritual Energy!” Old Eagle said. ”We can’t feel it because the Feather Spirit Palace’s light suppresses it.”

Thinking about it carefully, Su Yang realized he indeed hadn’t considered this.

”So, these peaches are full of Spiritual Energy?” Su Yang was also taken aback.

”That’s definitely the case!” Old Eagle said excitedly. ”And digestion of this kind of Spiritual Energy is determined by one’s strength and potential constitution. If you’re strong enough and your potential constitution is good, you can digest it quickly. But if you’re not strong enough and your potential constitution isn’t good enough, it will be difficult to digest!”

With that, Old Eagle looked at the other two, saying, ”The three of us lack strength, and our potential constitution is far inferior to Mr. Su and Miss Qi’er, so we digest more slowly. That’s why after eating one peach, we can’t eat anymore. The Divine Beast is strong enough to eat several, but now it also can’t digest anymore.”

Old Eagle didn’t continue, instead looking at Su Yang and Qi’er in awe.

These two had been eating three peaches a day for over two years without any indigestion issues. That said a lot about their potential and constitution, didn’t it?

Honestly, Old Eagle and the others felt nothing but excitement and joy at that moment. Becoming the subordinates of such extraordinary individuals promised a bright future. Wasn’t it obvious?

Su Yang was, in truth, equally astounded. He had never realized the mystical properties of the peaches before, so he hadn’t given it much thought. But as it turned out, the situation was far more complicated than he had imagined.

Eating these peaches wasn’t just straightforward. The abundance of Spiritual Energy in them was astonishing, and being able to digest them quickly was extraordinary.

At the very least, something that even Little Turtle couldn’t achieve had been accomplished by Su Yang and Qi’er. How could this not be shocking?

Little Turtle, a descendant of two Divine Beasts, had inherent talent and potential that would only grow stronger than that of the two Divine Beasts, not weaker.

Moreover, the most critical point was, this kind of Divine Beast’s abilities grew with maturity and practically did not require any cultivation. They are destined to be powerful from birth, so their potential goes without saying.

In such a situation, for Little Turtle’s ability to digest Spiritual Energy to be inferior to that of Su Yang and Qi’er, wasn’t this truly puzzling?

Could it be that the potential of Su Yang and Qi’er surpassed even that of Little Turtle?
