Extraordinary Realm from Persuasion System

Chapter 360: Chapter 165: You’re Really Saucy! Setting Off with Disciples!_5

Zhang Beixing’s status in the martial arts community of Great Xia had certainly risen.

But with this heightened status came more restrictions.

Take his current plan to challenge martial artists across the entire country, for example.

If he were still just a Pseudo Grandmaster, he could challenge anyone he pleased, kicking down any door without a second thought.

But now, as a Grandmaster, challenging martial arts schools involved far more complications!

He couldn’t go around challenging martial arts schools whose practitioners were only at the Pseudo Grandmaster level or below, could he?

Doing so would tarnish his reputation. Word would get out that he was bullying the weak, using his superior strength to oppress them.

But if he were to challenge martial arts schools or sects that possessed a Grandmaster’s strength, there were only a few of them throughout Great Xia.

Wudang Mountain, Wing Chun Dojo, Shaolin Temple...

And among these, one or two didn’t actually have a Grandmaster but possessed comprehensive strength equivalent to that level; Zhang Beixing had included them to make up the numbers.

Take Shaolin Temple, for example.

According to Liu Yi’s records, although Shaolin Temple hadn’t produced a Grandmaster for nearly a hundred years, their Eighteen Arhat Bronze Man Array, if performing at full strength, met Grandmaster standards, even surpassing those of ordinary Grandmasters!

Therefore, Shaolin Temple was included in Zhang Beixing’s list of targets to challenge.

After all, that was eighteen men!

Each of the eighteen specialized in a distinct martial art, supplemented by various Buddhist martial techniques. If he could spar with them and then learn their martial arts, it would be a huge boost to Zhang Beixing’s own abilities!

His progress towards becoming a Master of All would also advance by a large margin!

But this is still far from enough for me to master all techniques; I can’t even gather a hundred styles of martial arts. What should I do?

Zhang Beixing muttered to himself, falling into contemplation.

Merely challenging those Grandmaster-level sects and martial arts schools, powerful as their martial arts were, definitely wouldn’t be enough for him to achieve the state of being a Master of All.

The smaller martial arts schools had to be challenged, but if he, a Grandmaster, went to challenge them, they wouldn’t be willing to fight. After all, their martial arts proficiency was evident; fighting Zhang Beixing would simply be asking for a beating, wouldn’t it?

And if Zhang Beixing tried to use public opinion to pressure them into a fight, that likely wouldn’t be effective either.

This matter needs careful consideration, Zhang Beixing murmured to himself.

At that moment, there was a knock at the door; his takeout had arrived.

The sound interrupted his thoughts. Zhang Beixing rubbed his incredibly hungry stomach and decided to eat first and think later.

So, he went out to get his takeout.

Unexpectedly, the moment he stepped out, the delivery guy recognized him.

The delivery guy stared at Zhang Beixing and stammered, ”Brother Dan?”

”Hm?” Hearing this familiar address, Zhang Beixing uttered, ”You are...”

”I’m your fan! I’ve been following you ever since you posted that Yue Family’s Combo Punches video. I’ve liked and shared every single one of your videos! I never thought I’d meet you here; I’m so thrilled! So, Brother Dan, do you take disciples?”

The delivery guy looked at Zhang Beixing and rattled on, his words tumbling out so quickly that Zhang Beixing was left somewhat dazed after listening.

However, he grasped one key phrase:

”Take disciples?” Zhang Beixing lightly exclaimed.

An idea suddenly sparked in his mind.

He politely declined the delivery guy’s request to become his disciple and, after taking a photo with him, hurried back inside with his takeout.

He pulled out his phone and found Chen Rourou, whom he hadn’t contacted at all for two whole months.

Zhang Beixing sent: ”Are you there?”

Soon, Chen Rourou replied: ”?”

Seeing this, Zhang Beixing’s eyebrows slightly furrowed.

Zhang Beixing typed: ”We haven’t seen much of each other in two months. Have I lost my touch, or have you gotten too big for your britches, young lady? Why the attitude with me? Trying to play it cool?”

Chen Rourou quickly replied: ”No, no, that was a mistake! I’m sorry, Uncle Zhang! (shivering)”

Zhang Beixing continued: ”I’m in a good mood today, so I’ll let it slide this once. I wanted to ask, how are your studies going? Do you have any free time lately?”

Chen Rourou replied: ”Studies are going well, and I do have some free time. What’s up, Uncle Zhang? Is there something you need?”

Zhang Beixing typed: ”Yes, there is. Go to your academic advisor, request a month’s leave of absence, and then come to Chang’an to find me. I’m going to take you out to see a bit of the world.”

Chen Rourou replied: ”???”

What’s this all about? It was one thing for him to message her out of the blue, but now he wanted her to take a leave of absence to ’see the world.’ What world was there to see? She, Chen Rourou, had seen it all!

With her mind full of confusion, Chen Rourou asked, ”So, Uncle Zhang, may I ask what we’re going to do?”

”Challenge martial arts schools, nationwide!”

Zhang Beixing’s response was concise.

After the delivery guy’s casual remark, Zhang Beixing suddenly had an idea how to handle this.

As a Grandmaster, it truly wasn’t appropriate for him to personally challenge those smaller martial arts schools and sects. But just because he couldn’t personally step forward didn’t mean someone else couldn’t! He hadn’t forgotten about Chen Rourou, that little rookie, who was practically by his side! Although the two of them had never officially defined their relationship, it was clear to anyone with eyes that they were master and disciple! The master was going to challenge martial artists across the nation; it was only fitting that Chen Rourou, as the disciple, accompany him. Along the journey of challenging martial artists nationwide, having Chen Rourou challenge other martial arts schools to temper her skills and elevate her martial arts proficiency would be perfectly reasonable! The only problem, however, was Chen Rourou’s current strength. Chen Rourou had great martial arts talent. She was a genius. Back then, it had only taken her a month to reach the Entry Level in the Northern Sect’s Eight Pieces of Brocade. Now, after two months of summer vacation, under the Chen Family’s guidance and thanks to her own talent, she had reportedly achieved Integration. But that was it. No matter how talented Chen Rourou was, she couldn’t possibly become a Grandmaster in a mere four months like Zhang Beixing, who progressed at an almost cheat-like speed. Currently, she hadn’t even touched the threshold of a Pseudo Grandmaster; her strength was a genuine concern. However, these weren’t major issues. Chen Rourou’s martial arts achievements might be lacking, but his, Zhang Beixing’s, were profound. Under his rigorous training and guidance, Zhang Beixing was confident that he could make Chen Rourou’s abilities improve by leaps and bounds in a short time. He wasn’t expecting her to become incredibly powerful overnight, but at the very least, trading a few blows with other Martial Artists shouldn’t be a problem for her!

Meanwhile, Chen Rourou had no idea about any of this.

When she saw Zhang Beixing’s message, she was stunned for a moment.

Then, the troublemaking spirit within her could no longer be suppressed!

No wonder! She had been wondering why she hadn’t seen Zhang Beixing for a couple of days after arriving at school, and then today, he suddenly posted an update concerning the Primordial Form Intent Martial Arts School. It turned out he was going to challenge martial arts schools, aiming to fight his way across the entire country! How could she, Chen Rourou, not join in on the excitement?

Decisively, Chen Rourou agreed. Taking advantage of the fact that the dormitory building hadn’t been locked down yet and her academic advisor hadn’t gone to bed, she went straight to her advisor to explain the situation. Then, without even waiting for the advisor’s reaction, she packed her luggage, bought a train ticket, and headed straight for the Shishi high-speed railway station, not looking back once!

Efficiency was key. The main goal was to join in on the excitement!

She left her academic advisor standing alone in the dark night, holding the leave request form, utterly bewildered as he watched Chen Rourou’s retreating figure.

Hold on, wasn’t this a bit too hasty? That blasted girl, you haven’t even signed the form, and I haven’t stamped it yet! Do you even want your academic credits for this semester anymore?
