Death Guns In Another World

Chapter 2010: Fastest Dungeon Raid 3

Upon entering the fourth floor, Alex was greeted by the sight of a vast, murky swamp. The air was thick with humidity, and an acrid stench of decay permeated the environment. Patches of stagnant water lay scattered across the uneven ground, their surfaces shimmering with a greenish hue that hinted at the toxic nature of the swamp. The dense canopy of twisted trees loomed overhead, their gnarled roots snaking through the mud like the tendrils of some ancient creature.

Despite the oppressive atmosphere, Alex felt a sense of calm wash over him. His body possessed a natural immunity to poisons, a gift that would serve him well in this treacherous landscape. He took a cautious step forward, careful not to disturb the sludge beneath his feet. The sounds of the swamp enveloped him—distant croaks of unseen creatures, the rustle of leaves, and the occasional plop of something large dropping into the water.

As he ventured deeper into the murky depths, Alex activated his Divine Sense, extending it to detect any lurking dangers. Shadows flitted just beyond his perception, and he knew that the poisonous waters harbored creatures well-suited to this environment. His senses tingled with anticipation, aware that he must remain vigilant.

Suddenly, a massive form erupted from the murky depths, a grotesque creature resembling a giant frog. Its skin was slick and mottled, camouflaged against the swampy backdrop. With a powerful leap, it landed just a few meters away, its bulging eyes fixed on Alex with predatory intent.

ʼʼCroak! Croak!”

Unfazed, Alex raised his magic gun, channeling his magic power to prepare an ice bullet. He aimed at the creature, his focus unwavering. As the creature lunged, he pulled the trigger, the ice bullet slicing through the humid air. It struck the frog squarely in the mouth, freezing it instantly. The creature convulsed for a moment before collapsing into the swamp, leaving only ripples in its wake.

Reluctant to traverse the swampy ground and dirty his shoes, Alex repeatedly fired ice bullets, crafting a path of solid ice beneath him to facilitate his movement.

As he proceeded, more giant frogs lunged at him, but their fates were no different from the first. With each encounter, he dispatched them swiftly, the icy projectiles rendering them immobile before they could pose any threat. However, as he ventured deeper into the swamp, the environment grew increasingly toxic, and the monsters shifted in nature.

He soon encountered lizardmen, towering nearly two meters tall, wielding crude weapons adorned with sharp points. Their eyes glinted with malice as they approached, but before their archers could take aim, Alex struck with precision. He unleashed a flurry of ice bullets, taking them down before they could react.

Upon discovering what appeared to be a small village nestled within the swamp, he recognized an opportunity. Without hesitation, he launched a barrage of flame bullets, igniting the structures and setting the village ablaze. The flames roared to life, illuminating the darkness of the swamp as chaos erupted. Those who attempted to flee were met with a relentless rain of bullets, and the onslaught quickly turned into a one-sided slaughter.

Amidst the flames and the cries of the lizardmen, Alex felt a cold determination. This was the harsh reality of a world where the wreakers are getting devoured, itʼs the survival of the fittest, and he would not shy away from asserting his dominance in this unforgiving land. As the last echoes of battle faded, he remained vigilant, there was still one floor left to conquer after all.

Stepping through the portal to the final floor, Alex found himself in a stark, white room. In the center stood the boss monster: a towering twin-headed ogre, reaching an imposing five meters in height. Each head bore a fierce expression, adorned with jagged tusks that protruded menacingly from its massive jaws. The ogre wielded a gigantic bastard sword, its blade gleaming ominously, and it was clad in crude armor that seemed hastily assembled from scraps of metal and leather. The sheer size and ferocity of the creature radiated a palpable aura of danger.

”ROAR!”

The twin heads unleashed a simultaneous roar that reverberated through the chamber, generating a shockwave that sent Alex stumbling back a few paces. He could feel the raw power emanating from the beast; this would not be an easy battle. As he assessed the situation, he realized that the ogreʼs strength was comparable to that of a low-level 5 Ranker. He steeled himself, preparing for the challenge that lay ahead, knowing he would have to give everything he had to overcome this formidable foe.

Alex wasted no time and launched the first attack, aiming at one of the ogreʼs heads with an ice bullet to test its defenses. Just as the projectile was about to strike, the right head opened its mouth and unleashed a torrent of fire, incinerating the ice bullet before it could reach its target.

”As expected, they can use elemental attacks. If the right head breathes fire, itʼs safe to assume the left one breathes ice,” Alex thought, quickly calculating his next move.

With a powerful kick against the stone floor, he propelled himself forward, closing the distance between him and the ogre. The beast had already initiated a downward slash with its massive sword. In a bold maneuver, Alex punched the air as if to intercept the incoming weapon. The twin-headed ogre sneered, believing it had the upper hand, but just before their clash, Alex grinned.

”Just kidding!”

He unleashed a flame bullet aimed directly at the descending blade. The shot struck with explosive force, creating a brief stalemate as the two forces collided. However, the flame bullet began to push the blade upward, forcing the ogre to react. In a split second, it released an icy breath from the left head to counter the flames.

Seizing the moment, Alex focused all his strength into his right arm and delivered a powerful punch to the monsterʼs stomach.

Boom!

The impact sent the ogre flying backward, its roar of surprise echoing through the chamber. The force of Alexʼs punch was overwhelming, and he knew he had gained the upper hand in their first exchange.
