Death Guns In Another World

Chapter 2003: First Night in the New City

After a hearty meal, the duo left the restaurant, having memorized the district where the inns and hotels were located.

They headed toward a medium-sized establishment, a seven-story building called ”The Dusk.” After booking a double room for the night at the cost of ten gold coins, they made their way to the top floor.

As they entered their room, Alex was immediately struck by its charm. The space was cozy yet stylish, adorned with modern furnishings that complemented the whimsical atmosphere of Azurea. A large window offered a breathtaking view of the city, the neon lights casting a colorful glow across the room.

The centerpiece of the room was a plush king-sized bed, draped in soft, luxurious linens that promised a restful night. The headboard was crafted from dark wood, intricately carved with designs that echoed the cityʼs vibrant culture. Fluffy pillows piled high invited him to sink into their embrace.

To the side, there was a small seating area with a couple of comfortable chairs and a round table, perfect for enjoying a morning coffee or planning their next adventure.

Alex moved to the bathroom, which was equally impressive. It featured a modern design with sleek tiles and a spacious shower. The bathtub was large and inviting, surrounded by candles that added a soothing ambiance to the room.

After a long day, he decided to take a relaxing bath. He filled the tub with warm water and added a few drops of scented oil, letting the fragrant steam envelop him as he sank into the soothing embrace of the water. The warmth eased the tension in his muscles, washing away the remnants of the dayʼs excitement and challenges.

Once he finished, he dried off and wrapped a towel around his waist. Feeling refreshed, he stepped onto the balcony, which offered a stunning view of the vibrant city below.

The lights of Azurea twinkled like stars scattered across the landscape, and the sounds of laughter and music floated up from the streets, creating a lively symphony. Alex leaned against the balcony railing, taking it all in—the blend of fantasy and technology, the diverse crowds moving about, and the promise of adventure that lay ahead.

In that moment, he felt a sense of belonging and excitement, grateful for the opportunity to experience such a remarkable city. The night was still young, and he wondered what other wonders awaited them in this magical place.

Meanwhile, in her room, which was just as charming as Alexʼs, Nyx decided to indulge in a long, refreshing bath. The space was tastefully decorated, with soft colors that created a serene atmosphere. The warm lighting added a cozy glow, making it feel like a sanctuary away from the bustling city outside.

She stepped into the bathroom, taking a moment to appreciate the sleek design. The bathtub was large and inviting, filled with warm water that seemed to beckon her. Nyx turned on the faucet, allowing the water to flow, and added a few drops of lavender-scented oil, which filled the air with a calming fragrance.

As she sank into the warm water, she felt the tension of the day melt away. The heat enveloped her, soothing her muscles and calming her mind. Nyx closed her eyes, letting the peaceful ambiance wash over her. The sound of water gently splashing and the faint hum of activity from the city below created a tranquil backdrop.

In the solitude of the bath, she reflected on the dayʼs events—their adventure through the forest, the encounter with the bandits, and the vibrant energy of Azurea. Despite her usual impassiveness, she couldnʼt help but feel a sense of exhilaration. The city was alive with possibilities, and she was eager to explore it further.

After spending a considerable amount of time in the bath, she finally rose, feeling rejuvenated. She dried herself off with a soft towel and dressed in comfortable attire for the night. Nyx glanced at her reflection in the mirror, her expression still serene but with a hint of excitement sparkling in her heterochromatic eyes.

Once she was ready, Nyx stepped onto her own balcony, mirroring Alexʼs earlier action. The view was breathtaking; the city stretched out before her, alive with lights and movement. The vibrant colors painted the skyline, and she could hear the distant sounds of laughter and music, a reminder of the life bustling below.

As she stood there, absorbing the beauty of Azurea, Nyx felt an unfamiliar sense of freedom wash over her. It was refreshing to be out and experiencing something new—something that was unlike her usual self. Yet, this feeling was not unwelcome; it felt like a signal that it was time for her to change and open up.

This city, with all its wonders and mysteries, offered her a chance to discover more about herself and carve her own path. With a rare smile lighting up her face, she resolved to embrace whatever adventures lay ahead in the nights to come. Perhaps by allowing herself to be more open, she could unlock new possibilities and experiences in this vibrant place.

The following morning, Alex awoke feeling refreshed and energized after a good night, the bed was really comfy. He quickly completed his morning workout, pushing himself through a series of exercises that left him invigorated. Afterward, he took a cleansing bath, letting the warm water rejuvenate him before joining Nyx for breakfast.

In the cozy dining area of the inn, they shared a simple yet hearty meal, discussing their plans for the day. With their temporary registration permits in hand, they could buy a house and fully register.

After finishing their breakfast, they made their way to the magic rail station. The sleek, shimmering train awaited them, ready to whisk them off to another district. As they settled into their seats, the anticipation inside Alex grew; todayʼs first goal was to visit a real estate agency to buy a house that would serve as their temporary base.

To establish himself here, a house is a must.
