Death Guns In Another World

Chapter 1847 - 1637: Sparring Match 1

While Alex was heading home, the girls remained inside the fortress, particularly in the training ground. Gracier stood on one side, her aura flaring with the fierce intensity of her Fire element. She was the Empress of Fire, after all, and wielded her powers with both grace and authority. Flames flickered along her arms, casting a warm glow across the field. On the other side, Saeko readied herself, a calm but intense look in her eyes. She held mastery over the Wind element, and a faint breeze stirred around her, brushing her hair and clothes as if in anticipation.

The two smiled at each other, a silent acknowledgment of their mutual respect and excitement for the battle ahead. Gracierʼs flames intensified, licking the ground near her feet, while Saekoʼs wind swirled faster, gathering momentum. Then, without a word, the duel began.

Gracier launched forward, flames trailing from her hands as she sent a burst of fire in Saekoʼs direction. Saeko responded swiftly, slicing through the air with a powerful wind gust that diverted the flames just in time. Their elements clashed midair, fire and wind intertwining in a dance of power.

With a spin, Saeko moved gracefully, harnessing her wind to close the distance between them. She aimed a sharp gust at Gracier, intending to unbalance her. But Gracier anticipated the move, grounding herself with a burst of flame that countered Saekoʼs wind. The ground beneath her charred slightly from the heat.

The two continued to exchange attacks, neither holding back, their movements a blend of skill, precision, and elemental control. Gracierʼs fire was fierce and intense, but Saekoʼs wind was fluid, evading and redirecting the flames with remarkable agility. They pushed each other to their limits, testing their skills and resilience, all while maintaining a sense of mutual admiration.

As the battle reached its peak, Gracierʼs flames roared even brighter, while Saekoʼs winds intensified, creating a whirlwind around her. Their energies collided in a brilliant explosion of fire and wind, illuminating the training ground with a fiery glow.

The training ground crackled with energy as Gracier and Saeko stood their ground, eyes locked, the air thick with anticipation. Gracierʼs flames flared, casting flickering shadows across the field, while Saekoʼs wind danced around her, sending whispers through her hair. They took a single, synchronized breath, and in the next instant, they exploded into motion.

Gracierʼs arms shot forward, twin jets of fire spiraling toward Saeko. The air shimmered with heat as the flames hurtled through it, but Saeko was already moving. She sidestepped with a light, graceful leap, spinning to her right as she summoned a strong gust of wind that twisted around her body. With a flick of her wrist, she directed it forward, creating a vortex that sucked Gracierʼs flames off course and hurled them skyward in a dazzling display of embers.

Undeterred, Gracier followed up with a fierce stomp, igniting a ring of flames that shot outward, racing across the ground in every direction. Saekoʼs eyes narrowed as the wave of fire approached. She leaped high into the air, her body suspended for a moment as she bent the wind beneath her, lifting her even higher. Hovering above the flames, Saeko spotted her opening.

With a sudden downward thrust, she channeled a concentrated stream of air, slicing through the smoke-filled sky like a blade. The gust hit Gracier head-on, making her stumble backward as the wind battered her, but she gritted her teeth and held her ground, her flames flickering for just a moment before reigniting.

”Not bad!” Gracier called, her eyes gleaming with excitement. She raised her hand, and flames surged up her arms, wrapping her entire form in a fiery aura. With a powerful shout, she unleashed a massive fireball that rocketed toward Saeko, its heat so intense it left a trail of scorch marks across the ground.

Saeko spun in midair, gathering momentum, and just as the fireball was upon her, she unleashed a spiraling whirlwind. The vortex caught the fireball, sending it spinning in place before it was dispersed into a cloud of embers. Saeko landed, her stance low, a slight smile playing on her lips as she exhaled, satisfied at deflecting the attack.

But Gracier was far from finished. She clasped her hands together, concentrating, and the ground beneath her feet began to glow with an orange-red hue. She spread her fingers, and suddenly, pillars of fire erupted in a wide arc around Saeko, trapping her within a blazing cage.

Saeko glanced around, unfazed. She inhaled deeply, feeling the weight of the air around her. Then, with a sharp exhale, she released a powerful wind that tore outward from her core. The gust hit the fiery walls with enough force to bend them backward, but Gracier intensified the flames, reinforcing the cage with raw heat. Saeko knew she had to act quickly. She took a running start, her feet barely touching the ground as she moved, and then leaped up, channeling the wind around her to boost her height.

In an elegant aerial twist, Saeko cleared the cage and landed lightly on her feet. She didnʼt miss a beat, immediately lunging forward with her hand extended, gathering the wind into a condensed sphere. Gracier saw the attack coming and raised her arm to counter, her hand blazing with fire. The two powers collided in an explosion of heat and force, sending shockwaves across the training ground.

The impact pushed both fighters back, but neither looked ready to relent. Gracier grinned, her eyes alight with fierce joy, and threw her hands out to the sides. Flames erupted from her palms and coiled around her arms, forming into the shape of two fiery blades. She dashed forward, her flaming swords slicing through the air with deadly precision. Saeko danced backward, her movements fluid and light, as she used quick gusts of wind to deflect each strike. Sparks flew each time their elements clashed, scattering embers across the ground.

Suddenly, Gracier pivoted, aiming a low, sweeping strike toward Saekoʼs legs. Saeko leaped, twisting midair as she avoided the swing. She countered with a sweeping arc of wind, aiming to knock Gracier off-balance, but Gracier braced herself, digging her heels into the ground as flames erupted around her feet, anchoring her firmly in place.

They separated for a moment, breathing heavily but smiling, clearly enjoying the thrill of battle. Gracierʼs flames danced around her, her body emanating intense heat, while Saekoʼs winds whipped around her, swirling faster and faster. This time, both fighters gathered their energy, preparing for one final exchange.

With a burst of speed, Gracier charged, her entire form blazing with fire. Saeko did the same, her body enveloped in a powerful cyclone. They met in the center of the field, fire and wind clashing in a brilliant burst of energy. Flames and wind intertwined, spiraling around each other as the two pushed forward, neither willing to back down.

For a moment, it was as if time stood still, the two locked in a battle of sheer willpower. Then, with a final surge of energy, their powers exploded outward, sending both fighters skidding back from the impact.

When the dust settled, both Gracier and Saeko were breathing heavily, but smiles played on their lips. The ground was scorched, the air filled with the smell of smoke and the remnants of their powers. Gracier lowered her flaming blades, extinguishing them with a thought, while Saeko let her wind die down, her breathing slowing as she steadied herself.

”Well fought, Gracier,” Saeko said, a note of admiration in her voice.

Gracier grinned. ”Same to you. Letʼs go again sometime?”

Saeko chuckled. ”Anytime.”

With a mutual nod, the two headed toward the edge of the training ground, their rivalry momentarily set aside as they shared the silent camaraderie of warriors who had tested each other to their limits.
