Death Guns In Another World

Chapter 1836 - 1627: Lilithʼs Request

After a brief moment admiring the stars, they made the decision to depart. Typhania utilized the leaderʼs token to traverse space, enabling her to exit the concealed realm through a spatial lock. Returning to the Adventurer guild, she left the others behind. Meanwhile, Alex headed back to the castle, only to find that many of them had already departed, leaving a few remaining, including Lilith, the demon empress. Her face, as usual, was icy and lacking in expression. She nonchalantly welcomed him.

”Well, isnʼt it Lilith? How have you been? We havenʼt had the time to talk because I just came back and because of the meeting,” Alex said.

”Yes!” Lilith simply nodded in acknowledgement.

Alex chuckled, finding her behavior cute - she was still the same, lacking how to properly show emotions.

”So do you have something you wished to say?” he inquired while secretly using his appraisal skill on her. As expected, she had reached the False God realm as well, albeit weaker than him. Her current level was lvl 205.

ʼNot bad!ʼ Alex nodded inwardly, pleased.

Although she didnʼt possess the same skill as he did, Lilith with her experience could judge his level and knew she was stronger than him, much stronger.

Badump! Badump!

Her heartbeat quickened as the desire to fight him grew, threatening to swallow him. But there was something she had to do first.

Therefore, Lilith calmed down and bowed sincerely, shocking Alex.

”Thank you for what you have done, erasing the curse and giving us the chance to fight proudly and defend what must be defended. For this, I am - no, everyone is really grateful for this,” Lilith said.

Alex was shocked for the second time, not only because he was being thanked by Lilith of all people, but also because it was the first time he heard her speak so long after that time where she told him her past.

For some reason, Alex felt happy. Although he did what he did not for some chivalrous reason, but simply because it was to protect his loved ones, it was that simple.

”I did it for my own benefit. You donʼt have to feel grateful, still Iʼm happy because I have managed to see a cute side of you,” Alex playfully added at the end of his sentence, eliciting a frown from Lilith.

[Tch! As expected of master, as expected of my man. Trying to score some points with this girl, arenʼt you?] Silveriaʼs teasing voice rang out, making Alex chuckle.

ʼShut up, Sʼil, or else I will spank you later,ʼ he retorted.

[Oh! Donʼt you try that as an excuse, I know you miss my soft and heavenly buttocks,] Silveria fired back.

Alexʼs mouth twitched, as he had momentarily forgotten about her nasty tendencies. Not wanting to play along, he shut up, secretly vowing to teach her a lesson later.

Observing Alexʼs face go through a myriad of emotions in an instant, Lilith wondered what he must be talking about with his Giftʼs spirit to act like this? She shook her head and decided to bring up the most important reason for her waiting for him here.

”Can you spar with me?” Lilith suddenly requested.

”Oh?” Alexʼs eyes widened as he observed Lilith. Upon closer inspection, he saw an intense desire - an intense desire to spar against him, despite knowing the clear difference in their strength.

Naturally, he wouldnʼt refuse. He would use this opportunity to tease her, make her relax. Although they were currently in tumultuous times, it doesnʼt hurt to relax. Only this way should one strive to do better, to not lose simple joys like these.

”Alright, letʼs spar. I will reduce my level to the same as yours - level 205. Do your best. If you win, Iʼll grant you one unconditional wish. And if I win...” Alex didnʼt finish, as his lips curled upward.

Although surprised by how he knew her exact level, Lilith was more curious about his wish.

”If I lose, what will you ask? What will your wish be?”

”Simple - go on a date with me for an entire day,” Alex responded with a smile.

Lilith frowned, considering what Alexʼs real motive could be. Is it just a simple date? Probably not. Despite knowing there must be something behind this simple bet, she couldnʼt refuse. Not only would she use this opportunity to spar against someone powerful, even if he sealed his level for the spar, he was still more powerful than her. And the second reason she couldnʼt refuse was simply because he would grant her an unconditional wish.

By making this proposal, Alex was showing her he had full confidence in winning, even if they were at the same level. Although she knew it wasnʼt his intention to look down on her, she felt somehow offended and vowed to absolutely win this match.

Therefore, after a brief moment of contemplation, she accepted.

”Alright!”

Alex smiled, a smile that reached his ears, and it sent chills down Lilithʼs spine. For a moment, she even thought maybe she had made a mistake, but still, she would go through with it.

As the two walked in silence through the underground corridors of the palace, the atmosphere was filled with anticipation. Finally, they arrived at a large, open space that resembled a stadium.

The area was divided into various sections - a gymnasium, a gravity room, a mana room, and several platforms designed for duels. The sheer size of the space was impressive, making it clear that this was a training ground meant to accommodate powerful fighters.

The gymnasium was equipped with all manner of workout equipment, from weight racks to punching bags, allowing combatants to hone their physical prowess. The gravity room, on the other hand, could manipulate the gravitational forces within, providing a unique environment for users to train their strength and agility under altered conditions.

The mana room was a designated area for cultivating and focusing oneʼs spiritual energy. Intricate runes and arrays were etched into the floors and walls, creating a space conducive to meditation and the refinement of magical abilities.

Numerous platforms of varying sizes and shapes were scattered throughout the arena, offering ample space for sparring and duels. These elevated stages were reinforced to withstand the tremendous forces unleashed during intense battles.

The entire training ground was bathed in a soft, ambient light, creating an atmosphere of focus and determination. The air was charged with the lingering remnants of past training sessions, adding to the sense of history and tradition that permeated the space.

As Lilith and Alex stepped into this impressive facility, the weight of their upcoming challenge seemed to settle upon their shoulders. They both knew that this was no ordinary sparring session, but a chance to push the boundaries of their abilities and test the limits of their skills.
