Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 991: Chapter 472: Gathering of Heroes (Third Update)

Although there was no dislocation, she suddenly exerted herself today, and without warming up beforehand, her muscles should be a bit strained.

She needs to do some physical therapy when she has the time, Lawrence Winters thought silently.

However, Kenneth Osborne already detected a hint of hesitation in her voice and promptly said, ”Even if it’s not dislocated, are your muscles still sore? It was a natural phenomenon to suddenly exert yourself without warming up beforehand. But don’t take it lightly. Who knows what might happen in the upcoming competition, it’s better to do some physical therapy.”

Before Lawrence Winters could refuse, he added, ”I’ve already booked a physical therapist for you. She’ll be here in five minutes. It’s a woman and she’s got a good reputation here.”

Lawrence Winters was skeptical, ”...You’ve only been in New York for a few days, how could you know a highly rated physical therapist?”

Kenneth Osborne smiled faintly, ”She was recommended by a friend. I checked online; she’s the most expensive nearby and has the highest online reviews.”

”A friend? Which friend?” Lawrence Winters couldn’t help but press for details.

”Caitlin Gilbert, Mr. Gilbert’s daughter,” Kenneth Osborne said flatly, feeling a bit nervous, as if waiting for something.

But Lawrence Winters didn’t say anything; she merely hesitated for a moment before finally opening the door to let Kenneth Osborne in.

Before they could speak, the physical therapist arrived.

Kenneth Osborne stepped aside and watched as the therapist unfolded her portable therapy table and set it up, erecting a simple screen that blocked Kenneth Osborne’s view.

Behind the screen, Lawrence Winters took off her clothes, lay face down on the therapy table, and let the female therapist massage her shoulders.

The therapist Kenneth Osborne found was indeed excellent; the pressure applied was moderate yet resilient, and her fingertips accurately targeted the acupuncture points.

After just a few moves, Lawrence Winters was so comfortable she wanted to coo softly...

An hour later, the therapy was over, and Lawrence Winters was refreshed and surprisingly not tired.

Of course, the fact that she had just slept on the therapy table for an hour contributed significantly.

This was a high-quality deep sleep, which was more than enough for someone Lawrence Winters’ age.

After the therapist left, Lawrence Winters checked her phone; it was already past five, and she needed to go to the Stetford Family’s house for today’s celebration banquet.

Lawrence Winters wrapped her robe tightly and said to Kenneth Osborne, ”I need to change clothes, I’m going to Evan’s house for the celebration tonight, you should go back too. Thanks for the therapist.”

Kenneth Osborne remained calm, ”I received an invitation too, let’s go together.”

Lawrence Winters: ”...”

”You also have an invitation? Who gave it to you?”

In fact, Kenneth Osborne received three invitations.

Caitlin Gilbert, Ruby Sheldon, and Spring Spencer each sent him an invitation.

The Stetford Family’s celebration banquet was buffet-style, not a strict family affair, so the invitations didn’t specify names.

As long as you had an invitation, you could attend tonight’s banquet.

Of course, the number of invitations was fixed and not many.

Kenneth Osborne got three invitations, which means someone would miss out.

He glanced at Lawrence Winters, ”Do you care who gave me the invitation?”

Lawrence Winters: ”...”

She casually turned her head, ”That’s right, it’s nothing to do with me. You go out first, I need to change clothes.”

Kenneth Osborne curled his lips into a smile and strolled out.

Lawrence Winters quickly changed clothes inside the room.

She was very hungry and wanted to eat a lot, so she wasn’t wearing any skirts or evening gowns.

She was dressed in loose, white chiffon culottes and a cotton lake blue top with three-quarter balloon sleeves and a round neck, revealing her delicate collarbones and the Jadeite Jade Pendant lying nestled between them.

Her short hair, easy to style, was now dry. She casually tousled it with her hand, and the style emerged.

On her feet were a pair of royal blue Manolo Blahnik heels adorned with small diamonds. This brand is reputed to be the most comfortable heeled shoes, designed ergonomically so that wearing them all day doesn’t cause foot fatigue.

The only downside is that they are too expensive for Lawrence Winters, so she couldn’t justify buying them in bulk, only a few pairs of her preferred styles and colors.

She opened the door and saw Kenneth Osborne already changed, leaning against the door waiting for her.

He was wearing khaki cargo pants and a white cotton shirt with fine stripes tucked into a belt, showing off a slim yet muscular waist.

The contour of his profile was as exquisite as a male deity in an oil painting, with black hair and eyes that added a mysterious allure compared to the blonde-haired, blue-eyed deities.

However, Lawrence Winters was undeterred; she believed she was immune to his attractiveness.

The two descended the stairs one after the other, heading to the parking lot.

Lawrence Winters got into his car, and they headed to the Stetford Family’s mansion.

The atmosphere of celebration was wafting through the air, honoring the successful conclusion of the first round of competitions.

By the time they arrived, it was already past six.

In the evening, the air still had remnants of summer’s heat, but the Atlantic breeze had filtered out most of the humidity.

On the side of the asphalt road, the green eagle fern shrubs swayed greenly, almost completely shading the road.

Colorful balloons were strung along the roadside shrubs, guiding the way to the Stetford Family’s house.

The large iron gate of the mansion was open, with many cars parked along the roadside; some people had to park at the gate and walk inside.

But Kenneth Osborne was able to drive his car straight in, towards the depths of the courtyard.

In the backyard lawn of the Stetford Family’s mansion, several long tables were already set up with white tablecloths, laden with dishes.

There was Eastern cuisine as well as Western cuisine.

Most notably, a long table was filled entirely with steamed lobsters!

Dozens of bright red lobsters lined up in a spectacular display!

Lawrence Winters smiled knowingly at the lobsters.

Evan Stetford quickly approached with a smile, saying, ”Lawrence, you’re here, I was just thinking of sending a car to pick you up.”

But Richard Stetford stopped him.

Evan Stetford also felt it was not quite appropriate, so he didn’t insist.

Lawrence Winters responded with a smile, ”That’s not necessary. Evan, honestly, we should keep things less conspicuous. Once all three rounds of competitions are over, catching up will be timely.”

”Yes, I understand, I just wanted to congratulate you. You were outstanding today!” Evan Stetford said, reigning in his emotions, ”Those scientist judges would like to speak with you.”

He nodded slightly in the direction of nine o’clock.

Lawrence Winters saw those scientist judges and nodded to them as well.

At that moment, Ruby Sheldon, dressed in white culottes and a blue top, also ran over.

”Brother Kenneth, Uncle! You’re all here to eat lobsters?”

Lawrence Winters tugged at the corners of her mouth.

How on earth could they end up wearing the same outfit again!
